The challenges come fast and furious for the Halliwell sisters in <I>Charmed: The Complete Seventh Season</I>. Some of them are pretty exotic, too: a visit from Lady Godiva, who inspires a certain, unexpected freedom in witchy sisters Phoebe (Alyssa Milano), Piper (Holly Marie Combs), and Paige (Rose McGowan) while dodging the evil designs of a nasty land baron. Shakti and Shiva, the ultimate lovers of Hinduism, manage to occupy the bodies of Piper and still-evolving Whitelighter Leo (Brian Krause) at a very bad time: The consummation of their love will destroy the universe. An ex-demon turned professor at the Magic School falls under a spell that causes him to believe he's Robin Hood and that Phoebe is Maid Marian. And it goes on like that: an invisible demon posing as an imaginary friend to a child; a time-travel trip to 1899 (and the site of a tragic fire) that strands Phoebe; the arrival of Pandora's Box in the hands of a shape-shifting visitor from the Underworld. Things never quiet down for the Halliwells, and their lives are even more complicated by Zankou (Oded Fehr), who shows up in a running storyline about his effort to release the Shadow, the ultimate power, and steal the Book of Shadows, which is crucial to the sisters' witchcraft. Meanwhile, Leo must make a crucial choice in order to release Piper and Phoebe from their deaths at the hands of yet another demon: Should he save them or engage in magic that will ultimately rob him of his free will? An exciting season full of new changes and characters, transitions, children, and much else, <I>Charmed: The Complete Seventh Season</I> carries on this long-running television show's breathless pace and intriguing mix of the arcane and ordinary. <I>--Tom Keogh</I>

Description

The Power of Three continues to work in mysterious ways as the sisters adapt to the arrival of baby Chris - and the added responsibility of having two enchanted children underfoot. Could this be a divine signal for Piper and Leo to stop quibbling and start parenting? Meanwhile, Paige continues her quest for the perfect man (or even a couple of imperfect ones) while Phoebe desperately searches for the father of her future daughter. Given the pageant of witches, warlocks and sexy wardrobe gracing the manor in the coming year, finding time to juggle multiple romances while fighting the forces of darkness will become increasingly challenging.

5 out of 5 stars Totally Awesome.......2007-06-17

The whole series has been so cool so far. I'm really sad that it is coming to an end.

1 out of 5 stars It has no Charm.......2007-06-13

Well let's see, you have a show where the cast was clearly hired for their looks and they have no talent at all, and as for writing, forget it. I don;t think anyone on this show even knows how to write.

5 out of 5 stars CHARMED again.......2007-06-10

Each season of 'Charmed' gets crazier. Very well thought out. Very awesome effects. Very good show. I was sad to see it end.

5 out of 5 stars The Complete Seventh Season.......2007-05-26

I enjoyed the complete 7th season. There was a lot more action through all the characters. Each season is getting better every time. I have
seasons 1-7, I am looking forward to getting season 8.

4 out of 5 stars A Different Kind of Season.......2007-05-25

I have been a loyal Charmed Fan since the very beginning however, Season 7 was in my opinion the worst season for writing. However, if you just now getting into Charmed even though it is off the air this is a must have for Charmed Fans. I just didn't like the storylines this season and was extremely happy that it was renewed for an 8th season. The first attempt at a season finale was a very poor one. Leo has his own storylines this season which was wonderful though especially for Leo Fans.

5 out of 5 stars Miss this show but.............2007-06-14

that's why they created DVD box sets. so you can always remember them

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Season .......2007-05-25

Season Six of Charmed was one of the best since Season 3. The new character Chris has a wonderful storyline where sometimes he is good and sometimes he is not. The introducing of Chris as Leo and Pipers 2nd son and seeing a grown evil Wyatt is wonderful. We fall in love with both characters and want more. A must-have for Charmed fans.

4 out of 5 stars 6th Season of Charmed.......2007-05-12

It was a good season. Some of the storylines seem redos of past charmed episodes or similar series, but after 5 seasons you expect that to some extent. The important things -- the emotion between the sisters and between Piper and Leo was still there. It was funny, suspensful and entertaining. It is a nice was to speed a weekend afternoon when you have just finished a long, bad work week. I would recommend it to anyone who likes fantasy/sci-fi type entertainment. It isn't too dark and doesn't take it's self too seriously.Charmed - The Complete Sixth Season

4 out of 5 stars a tough one.......2007-05-11

I had a surprisingly tough time paying attention to this season... first of all, from my memory Chris' mission really turned to soup because he just kept repeating himself. Watching this a few times, reminded me of that annoyance.

Besides my dislike for Chris and some episodes I found completely useless such as "spin city" - man I hate that one!

It has its high points... I love Rose McGowans hair color during this season! It really matched her complextion - so when she was a brunette suddenly.. That was hard to get used to! But besides hair, everyones acting is superb, especially Brian Krause - he was really shining the last few years...

I say go for it because its worth it if you want to understand the season or you're just a fanatic. Likewise, its good.

5 out of 5 stars Charmed is Tops..........2007-05-07

Though the earlier seasons were far better, there is just something great about having the whole collection in a series.

<I>Charmed: The Complete Second Season</I> finds San Francisco's favorite and fetching trio of witches, the Halliwell sisters, still battling supernatural forces while trying to make sense of their tricky personal lives. It has been a year since Prue (Shannen Doherty), Phoebe (Alyssan Milano), and Piper (Holly Marie Combs), were each endowed with a unique, magical ability after discovering the <I>Book of Shadows</I> in their attic, and while Phoebe and Piper are in the mood for celebrating, Prue is emotionally incapable of using her telekinetic gifts. Powerless to have saved her ex-lover, Andy Trudeau (Ted King), from death in season 1, Prue's grief prevents her from cooperating with her sisters in a battle against a demon who steals the all-important <I>Book</I>.

That's just the beginning of the Halliwells' otherworldly troubles. The second season finds the sisters also taking on brain-zapping Warlocks, a Demon of Hate, a Darklighter who inspires thoughts of suicide among the living, evil witches, and--get this--the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, who turn out to be quite dapper (albeit nasty) fellows. Meanwhile, Piper struggles to raise $60,000 to open a happening new club (at a site where two other clubs have failed) while also juggling romantic feelings for two guys, one a hunky new neighbor and the other last season's handyman character, Leo (Brian Krause), who turns out to be a Whitelighter (a kind of an angel). Prue's job at the art gallery gets a bit wobbly, and she gives unintentionally mixed signals to a very nice man who likes her a lot. Phoebe, for her part, is still in school and meets a handsome prospect at a dating service--then has to save him from a succubus (a female demon who seduces men and then kills them). Season highlights include the episode "She's a Man, Baby, a Man," in which Prue--due to a botched spell--becomes a man (a clever and funny performance by Doherty). In a reversal of <I>Tootsie</I>'s feminist theme, Prue learns how to be a better woman for having a been a man, though a lot more repairs take place at the house while she's a he. "Animal Pragmatism" concerns yet another spell gone awry, this one turning a pig, a rabbit, and a snake into full-grown men with the characteristics of the creatures they were. The final show, "Be Careful What You Witch For," is a lot of fun, co-starring French Stewart as a genie who makes a lot of mischief at the same time the sisters are trying to put a Dragon Warlock in his place. <I>--Tom Keogh</I>

Description

In CHARMED, the three Halliwell sisters have accepted their destiny of protecting the innocent and vanquishing evil doers, even though that is generally not on the agenda of every twenty-something on the fast track to discovering what life's all about. Prue (Doherty), the oldest, is driven to succeed and dislikes the free-spirited antics of the youngest sister Phoebe (Milano). Piper (Combs), the earthy middle sister, mediates between her siblings. Prue has the power to move objects, Piper to freeze time and Phoebe to see the future. The sisters must band together to protect themselves, and the world, from the dark, demonic forces that seek to destroy them.

5 out of 5 stars Charmed Charges Into Season 2!!.......2007-06-20

Now after the success of the first season, Charmed's second season picked off exactly where it left off!!!! This season is actually more laid back than the first, as it is more light-hearted!!! But there is still a lot of drama and suspense this season, it's just not as intense as the first!! This season's new characters: Dan and his neice, Jenny who move in next door!!! This season includes the Piper, Leo, and Dan love triangle!!! But who will Piper chose..? Prue makes a career change and Phoebe goes back to college!!! Here is season 2:

Witch Trial-Good Episode!!! "It's the sisters' 1st anniversery since they've been witches when a demon named Abraxas steals the Book of Shadows!!!" This was a good premiere, we get to see old demons return, and seeing Prue still dealing with Andy's death was sad and understandable. Piper also gets her own club, P3!

Morality Bites-Amazing Episode!!! "When Phoebe has a premonition of her execution in 2009, the Charmed Ones travel into the future to find out what happened and find some shocking changes!!" This is definatley one of the best episodes of Charmed!!! The ending almost made me cry when I first saw it!

The Painted World-Good Episode!!! "Prue gets trapped inside an old painting, while Phoebe casts a spell to make her smart!!!" This episode was very original, and it had a nice twist. We see Phoebe's fighting skills for the first time!

The Devil's Music-Weak Episode!!! "The Charmed One must stop a music manager who is giving innocents to a demon!!!" I just recently saw this episode on TNT and it was one of the worst episodes this season.

She's A Man, Baby, A Man-Great Episode!!! "Prue becomes a man so the Charmed Ones can stop the Succubus from killing single men." This episode is just funny, Shannon as a man was just hilarious! Piper begins to like Dan!

That Old Black Magic-Good Episode!!! "The Charmed Ones must help a teenage boy defeat a 200-year-old evil witch named, Tawatha!" This episode was refreashing, the sisters needing help from an innocent. We meet Jack, Prue's new co-worker.

They're Everywhere-Good Episode!!! "Phoebe must help Brendon and his father from the collector warlocks, while Prue and Piper cast a reading minds spell!!" This episode was the usual save the innocent episode, with some funny sisterly interaction!

P3 H2O-Great Episode!!! "When Prue witnesses a death at a Camp's lake, the girls are forced to deal with the demon that killed their mother 20 years ago!!" We learn about Sam, their mother's whitelighter, and how they were in love. This storyline continues into Season 4 were we learn even more.

Ms. Hellfire-Great Episode!!! "When the Charmed Ones are attacked by an assassian, Prue takes the identity of assassian to find out who was behind the attack!" Prue gets a new power: Astral projection, Antonio Sabato, Jr. guest stars, and Barbas returns.

Heartbreak City-Weak episode!! "The Charmed Ones must help Cupid stop a demon named Drowsy from destroying the love of couples!!" This was a little too cutesy but the scene where Cupid tells how many guys Phoebe has been with was so funny.

Reckless Abandon-Great Episode!!! "The Charmed Ones must protect a baby from a ghost who is killing off the men of a rich family." This episode is very light and very dark. The way the ghost, Elieis is vanguished was refreshing.

Awakened-Amazing Episode!!! "When Piper becomes ill because of a deadly disease, Prue and Phoebe casts a spell to save her only to cause deadly consequences!" This episode is also a Charmed best, The ending was very emotional! Prue decides to quit her job at Bucklands, Phoebe decides to go back to college, and Leo becomes mortal.

Animal Pragmatism-Weak Episode!!! "Three of Phoebe's classmates casts a spell that makes three animals human!" This was probably the worst episode of the season, the plot was pretty good, though.

Pardon My Past-Great Episode!!! "When Phoebe is haunted by the events of her past life, she goes back to that life to find out some shocking details." This episode was amazing, our 3 leads acted well in the 1920s setting, and Anton made for a great villain.

Give Me A Sign-Good Episode!!! "When Baine is attacked by a demon and escapes jail, he kidnapps Prue in hope of her helping him." Antonio Sabato, Jr returns and this is the first time we hear about the Source! Prue wants to become a photographer, and Piper decides to be with Leo, like we didn't see it coming.

Murphy's Luck-Great Episode!!! "When Prue casts a spell to help a famous woman, she becomes the new target of a darklighter!" It was sad seeing Prue so depressed due too Shannon's great performance, and Leo gets his wings back.

How to Make a Quilt Out of Americans-Pretty good episode!!! "When the sisters' Aunt Gale comes over, they have no idea that she needs their powers for a deal with a demon!!!" I feel bad for Aunt Gale, it's too bad they couldn't save her.

Chick Flick-Great episode!!! "The Charmed Ones must stop the Demon of Illusion who is making movie charaters real." This episode, while corny, was very original and entertaining. All the horror movie situations were funny, and all 3 actresses played it off well.

Ex Libris-Weak episode!!! "Phoebe must help her dead classmate, Charlene, while Prue must help a depressed father find justice for his daughter's murder!!!" Piper meets Leo's old wife. The main plot dragged but I liked how they used Charlene to make the murderer confess, it was a nice touch.

Astral Monkey-Great Episode!!! "Dr. Williamson, Piper's doctor during her deadly illness, accidently gets all of the sisters' powers, causing him to go insane!!!" This episode is very dark, which Holly gives an amazing performance and seeing Dr. Williamson transformation was very disturbing!

Apocalypse, Not-Good Episode!!! "When Prue and War, one of the 4 horsemen of the Apocalypse get trapped in a vortex, Piper and Phoebe must chose whether to save their sister or the world!" The 4 horsemen could have been great villains but they are underused. The sisters also learn that there are more important things then saving a sister.

Be Careful What You Witch For-Pretty good episode!!! "When a Genie appears to the Charmed Ones, he grants them 3 wishes that leave horrible consequences!" This was a good episode, but weak finale! Piper and Leo go up to meet the bosses upstairs, which this will continue into next season!!!

Season 2 was a good season that sets up greatly for Season 3, one of the best seasons of the series!! So enjoy the dvd when it comes out and re-live the Golden days of Charmed!!!

5 out of 5 stars Yeah!.......2007-06-14

I'm slowly getting to season 8. lolol
I just wish there was some "behind-the-scenes" stuff!

5 out of 5 stars Charmed DVD.......2007-05-27

I've been wanting to buy Charmed on DVD for quite some time. Before, they officially came out on DVD, I signed a petition to have these available on DVD. Now, that they are out, I'm very ecstatic that I can watch them at my own leisure! I love all the characters and the storylines are fun.

5 out of 5 stars Another Great Season .......2007-05-25

Charmed Season 2 continues it great humor, sexy show about sister-witches fighting evil every week. Their powers get stronger and the demons get more powerful. This season gives you everything season 1 did and more. I recommend it to all Charmed Fans. The introduction of the sexy neighbor Dan Gordon is a great one. We get to see into the past in P3H20 and Pardon my Past and see into the future in Morality Bites.

The Charmed Ones' Did it again.

Sexy, silly, sardonic, somber: the fifth season of <I>Charmed</I> finds the Charmed Ones--sisters Phoebe (Alyssa Milano), Piper (Holly Marie Combs), and Paige (Rose McGowan)--on an emotional roller coaster. Yet they're also in a fairly comfortable groove with one another. McGowan, who joined the cast in year 4 (see <I>Charmed: The Complete Fourth Season</I>) as a replacement for Shannen Doherty, is now a perfect fit, turning Paige into a self-deprecating, uber-witch whose clipped dialogue meshes beautifully with Milano's neurotic phrasing and Combs' no-nonsense bark.

Season 5 ties up a lot of loose ends, heralds some major shifts in the show's running narrative, and ushers in a couple of new characters. One of the latter is Piper's baby by husband Leo (Brian Krause), the angelic Whitelighter whose role as an emissary of the heavenly Elders changes dramatically in the two-part finale, "Oh, My Goddess!" Before that happens, however, Phoebe must contend with the reappearance of her husband, the demon Cole (Julian McMahon), who is determined to win her back by proving his evil nature is under control. As usual, all the sisters must use the Power of Three to protect a number of vulnerable mortals, and even some immortals. Among these are a mermaid whose immortality is sought by a greedy demon, several wood nymphs frolicking in the streets of San Francisco, and married men targeted by a hot Siren with a killer kiss. Season highlights include "Happily Ever After," in which characters from multiple fairy tales come to life; "Lucky Charmed," a fun story introducing a demon-vanquishing Leprechaun; and "Sense and Sense Ability," a clever drama in which Phoebe goes deaf, Piper becomes blind, and Paige turns mute as the result of a wicked witch's spell. The aforementioned finale sees all three sisters officially acknowledged as the goddesses they truly are. But it also introduces a new, major character, Chris (Drew Fuller), who seems benevolent but may very well be a wolf in sheep's clothing. We shall see. <I>--Tom Keogh</I>

Product description

Piper (Combs) and Phoebe (Milano), now with younger half-sister Paige (McGowan) up to speed with her powers, more or less, and "The Power of Three" all living under one roof at the Halliwell manor, are trying to get their respective personal lives in order. All the while, continuing to battle the worst evils that come their way. Oldest sister Piper and her husband Leo (Krause), the siblings' whitelighter guardian angel, are thrilled at the prospect of the impending birth of their child. Yet, dealing with a normal pregnancy is tough enough, but factoring in their unborn baby's use of her magical powers gives Piper cause for concern. Although adjusting to complexities of being pregnant and fighting evil, Piper has the added responsibility of looking out for her younger sisters and still running the Halliwell's successful nightclub P3. It's become a lot to handle coupled with possessing the trio's strongest power - exploding an object or demon at will in addition to the power of freezing, but Piper has proved she's more than capable of carrying the burden. While middle sister Phoebe's career is on the rise, the same can't be said of her romantic life. Recently employed as a popular gossip columnist at a local newspaper, she's gained notoriety for her work, but she's trying to finalize her divorce from Cole (McMahon), the part demon/part human who became "The Source" (the greatest of all evil) and was vanquished, only to cling to life because of his love for Phoebe. Finally over her love for Cole, she's ready to get on with her life without him, unfortunately, after resurrecting himself, he's determined to prove his love for her by trying to do good. Phoebe's martial arts skills, her ability to levitate, the power of premonitions and her skill at making potions have helped vanquish many a demon. Youngest sister Paige has gone through quite a change in the past year with learning of her true heritage, then becoming adept at utilizing her powers of orbing herself and objects at will and getting used to having a family again. Raised by adoptive parents who died while she was still in high school, Paige was used to being a loner, but now she's proved to her sisters that she's up to the task of being one-third of the Power of Three. When it comes to good old fashioned police help, Inspector Darryl Morris (Dorian Gregory) is always there when the sisters need some aide or advice. As "The Charmed Ones," the three most powerful good witches to ever exist, the Halliwell sisters defeated "The Source" but now face the existence of powerful evils still prevalent and looking to defeat them. As Piper, Phoebe and Paige continue to wage war against all evil, they seek to strengthen their sisterly bond as they get closer to fulfilling their destiny.

Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars Charmed: A new kind of Season.......2007-05-25

Charmed Season 5 gets a lot of mixed reviews. I am a die-hard Charmed fan so I try to look at the best things. I feel that as much as I loved Cole by this point I was sick of him, I wanted Cole and Phoebe to live happily ever after...but then again he was evil. Paige becomes more powerful and Piper and Leo final get their child from the future...although it is a boy. I didn't like a lot of the baby episodes I felt they could have done with better story lines but I loved the arrival of Wyatt and of course Victor marrying a demon.

5 out of 5 stars my all-time favorite season.......2007-05-11

Here's something that's funny to me - Rose McGowan has said in interviews her least favorite episodes were the ones with fairy tales, trolls, nymphs.. Those were her least favorite yet I felt them to be her BEST acting moments! What a conflict..

This season though - is really a favorite.. The shining episodes for me are:

Sam I Am
The Importance of Being Pheobe
Contennial Charmed
Cat House (definate top ten!)
Sense & Sense Ability (I find this hilarious)
The Day the Magic Died
Sympathy For the Demon
A Witch in Time

Horrendous episodes:
Oh My Goddess parts 1 & 2...what were they thinking? You could really see the girls fighting through the scenes when they really didn't like what they were doing...
Witches In Tights - definately a filler and an all time low in creative writing. It was cute for a giggle but just useless.

I like the humor in Y Tu Mummy Tambien... its got a cheesy opening but really fun, in my opinoin, after the credits are done rolling.

I really find this a strong season... even though there were tons of Other Wordly Creatures stopping by, it seems really cheesy but really made it fun.

5 out of 5 stars LOVE THIS SHOW.......2007-05-08

The only thing I can say is I love the show, just wish they would put all the episodes from that season on the DVD not just pick and choose the most popular ones, we want to see them all again.

5 out of 5 stars CHARMED: The Complete Fifth Season (2002-2003).......2007-03-19

When Barbas, the Demon of Fear, returns to seek revenge on the Charmed Ones for vanquishing him years ago, he manages to trick Paige into performing a spell that gives him Cole's powers in order to trap the Charmed Ones in the manor and use their own fears against them.

"A Witch in Time"
Phoebe inadvertently opens a tunnel in time by repeatedly saving the life of her new boyfriend Miles, who has been preordained to die. The time tunnel provides a pathway for a warlock from the future named Bacarra to steal the Book of Shadows.

"Sam I Am"
When Cole realizes that he must eventually give in to his evil destiny, he attacks the Charmed Ones in the hope that they will vanquish him forever and end his suffering. Meanwhile, Paige gets her first charge as a Whitelighter and is shocked when the angry, self-pitying man she is supposed to protect turns out to be the father she never knew.

"Y Tu Mummy Tambien"
Phoebe falls prey to Jeric, a demon in search of the perfect body to hold the spirit of Isis, his dead lover. To trap the spirit, Jeric mummifies Phoebe's body. Meanwhile, Cole tries to save Phoebe by making a deal with the demon.

"The Importance of Being Phoebe"
Cole is trying a new plan of taking down the Charmed Ones by using the law.

"Centennial Charmed"
In his twisted attempt to win Phoebe back, Cole joins the Avatars in order cast a spell that alters reality, eliminating Paige and destroying the Power of Three. At that moment, Paige sneezes and orbs into the Whitelighter realm, avoiding the effects of the spell. She arrives in the alternate timeline and finds that her sisters have no knowledge of her existence.

"House Call"
The Council of Witch Doctors makes a house call to the Charmed Ones and use voodoo dolls to lead them down various paths of self-destruction.

"Sand Francisco Dreamin'"
A demon attacks the Charmed Ones with dream dust he stole from a Sandman, causing their nightmares to come to life.

"The Day the Magic Died"
Piper is due in six weeks and has to be on bed rest because of her high blood pressure. Phoebe and Paige realize that they can't use their magic and Leo realizes that he can't orb.

"Baby's First Demon"
When Piper's baby is nearly kidnapped by demons, Paige goes undercover to track down the kidnappers at a demonic black market, but is captured before she can vanquish them.

"Lucky Charmed"
The Charmed Ones join forces with a Leprechaun when they go after a demon who is killing Leprechauns to steal their magic. To reward them for their efforts, the Leprechaun grants each sister good luck.

"Cat House"
When Piper and Leo see a marriage counselor to work out their marital problems, Piper casts a spell that lets them literally see the key moments of their past. However, the spell goes awry and Phoebe and Paige are sent back in time to relive Piper's memories.

"Nymphs Just Wanna Have Fun"
When a demon kills the Satyr of the Spring of Life, the Satyr's underlings, a trio of Wood Nymphs, escape to San Francisco to find a new leader. After the Nymphs magically transform Paige into one of them, they are all captured by the demon, Tull, who forces them to lead him to the Spring.

"Sense and Sense Ability"
While at the fair the Crone turns a monkey totem of Hear No Evil, See No Evil, and Speak No Evil into a real monkey. This monkey takes Paige's voice, Phoebe's hearing, and Piper's eyesight.

"Necromancing the Stone"
When Grams and the Halliwell matriarchs are summoned to bless baby Wyatt, they fall prey to the Necromancer demon who has returned from the Spirit Realm seeking to absorb their magical spirits.

"Oh My Goddess (Part 1)"
Released after centuries spent entombed beneath the Arctic ice, the Titans, Greek mythic gods, set out to eliminate their captors, the Elders. Phoebe and Paige are nearly defeated by the Titans, but are saved by Chris, a mysterious Whitelighter from the future. Meanwhile, Leo makes a decision to give the Charmed Ones the ultimate power to vanquish the Titans, recreating them as Greek Goddesses, despite the risk that they will be seduced by their vast new powers. Phoebe becomes the Goddess of Love; Piper, the Goddess of Earth; and Paige, the Goddess of War.

"Oh My Goddess (Part 2)"
Transformed into powerful goddesses, the Charmed Ones must battle the Titans of myth before they take over earth. However, Piper's life is turned upside-down when Leo accepts his call to become an Elder. Piper's loss and anger consumes her, allowing the Charmed Ones to destroy the Titans but at the expense of losing Leo.

This show just continues to get even better as it goes on. I always become bewitched with each episode I watch. Don't miss this incredible fifth season of CHARMED.

<I>Charmed: The Complete Fourth Season</I> is a captivating story of big changes in the world of the Halliwell sisters. San Francisco witches Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) and Piper (Holly Marie Combs) grieve the loss of Prue (Shannen Doherty) at the same time they discover the existence of a fourth Halliwell sibling: Paige (Rose McGowan), offspring of the girls' late mother and a Whitelighter (thus making Paige part witch and part angel). Paige was raised as an adopted child, but has been aware of her sisters for awhile. Still, she's ambivalent about joining forces with them (despite having two powers instead of the usual one), and Piper--now the oldest of the surviving sisters, reluctantly taking over Prue's position as leader--is in no hurry to welcome Paige into the fold.

Blood and loyalty prevail, however, and soon Paige takes over Phoebe's old role as screw-up rookie, mangling potions and causing havoc (such as switching bodies with Phoebe at an inopportune time). But her strong survival sense, compassion, and ability to read people (she's studying to become a social worker) add a powerful new weapon to the Halliwell arsenal. Meanwhile, several key storylines from the third season carry over to this new year, notably the running drama concerning demon-with-a-soul Cole (Julian McMahon) and his ongoing battle to stay free of hell's wrath while maintaining dark powers. His romance with Phoebe leads them to become ruler and queen of the Underworld, where Phoebe's loyalty is tested and a demonic baby enters the picture. Piper and her husband, Whitelighter Leo (Brian Krause), deal with sorrow over Prue and frustration over not being able to have a child, and the sisters' police ally, Inspector Morris (Dorian Gregory), has to contend with an out-of-control boss bent on charging the Halliwells with a crime. All that and a witch-hunter and appearance by the angel of destiny, who offers to relieve the witches of their magical burden. The most impressive aspect of the fourth season is the way Doherty's loss isn't treated as a mere vacuum to be filled with a new body, but is taken as an opportunity to reinvent the show in several crucial ways. </I>--Tom Keogh</I>

Product Description

As Piper and Phoebe struggle with the loss of their older sister, they discover the existence of half-sister Paige Matthews. Possessing the power to orb as a half-Whitelighter, Paige joins the Halliwell sisters to recreate the magical triad that protects the innocent and vanquishes evil. But all may be lost as Cole's (Julian McMahon) demonic side takes over, and Leo (Brian Krause) must face his past if he is to help the sisters in a battle that could destroy them all. With intriguing characters, amazing special effects and the perfect brew of suspense, drama and humor, each exciting episode in this fascinating supernatural series casts a gripping spell.

4 out of 5 stars Charmed Again.......2007-05-25

Season 4 picks up where Season 3 left off. Piper and Phoebe start by mourning Prue and learning of a new half-sister witch/half-whitelighter Paige. This season is action packed with the Charmed Ones' vanquishing the Source but Cole taken over and then taken Phoebe with him and her getting pregnant with the spawn of lucifer. A wonderful season and very funny with Paige trying to find out how to be a witch and of course having some mishaps with magic.

5 out of 5 stars CHARMED: The Complete Fourth Season (2001-2002).......2007-03-18

Back for a fourth season is the very bewitching show, CHARMED. The show picks up with PIPER (again played by the beautiful Holly Marie Combs) and PHOEBE (again played by the beautiful Alyssa Milano), who are now greiving the loss of PRUE (once played by the beautiful Shannen Doherty), their oldest sister, who was sadly killed at the very end of season three. But they discover that they have a younger sister named PAIGE MATTHEWS (played by the beautiful Rose McGowan), where Phoebe is no longer the youngest of the Halliwell sisters, for Paige is now the youngest. Paige was born to PATRICIA "PATTY" HALLIWELL (played by Finola Hughes, playing the role since the first season), the same woman who gave birth to Prue, Piper, and Phoebe. But Victor Bennett, who is the father of Prue, Piper, and Phoebe, is not the father of Paige. Paige's father is SAM WILDER, a whitelighter (a guardian angel for good witches), who protected Patty. Patty and Sam had fallen in love and began a relationship, which explains Paige's birth, but because an affair between a witch and a whitelighter is forbidden, Patty put Paige up for adoption, where Paige was adopted by the Matthews family. This situation was also dealt with by Piper and LEO WYATT (played by Brian Krause, playing the role since the first season). Leo is also a whitelighter, where he was sent to protect the sisters. Leo and Piper have settled this difference and are happily married, where they await their first child. Below is the episode list, along with the episode description.

"Charmed Again (Part 1)"
Piper and Phoebe grieve Prue's death and struggle with the demise of the Power of Three, until they discover their long-lost sister Paige...

"Charmed Again (Part 2)
...whose existence has Phoebe and Piper fighting to save her from the source, who has 48 hours to turn her to the side of evil. Leo and Cole must stop an investigator from finding out the Halliwell secret.

"Hell Hath No Fury"
Paige uses the Book of Shadows for personal gain, while Piper's inability to deal with the Prue's death makes her vulnerable to the Furies.

"Enter the Demon"
Paige creates havoc when she mixes potions that switches her body with Phoebe and must battle evil that has opened a portal between two worlds.

"Size Matters"
A hideous demon shrinks Phoebe to a powerless five inches and uses her as bait to trap her sisters.

"A Knight to Remember"
When Paige discovers she was an evil enchantress in a past life after conjuring a medieval prince, Phoebe and Piper are trapped in the Dark Ages, leaving Paige and Leo to rescue them.

"Brain Drain"
When the Source taps into Piper's brain and alters her perception of reality. Phoebe and Paige must work quickly before she gives up all of their powers.

"Black As Cole"
Phoebe encounters Cole's demonic past when the sisters help track a widow seeking vengeance on a demon that killed her fiance. Paige helps Piper and Leo with their baby issues.

"Muse to My Ears"
The sisters fiercely battle Warlocks who are enslaving the world's muses to use their divine creative inspiration for evil.

"A Paige from the Past"
Haunted by her parent's tragic death, Paige travels with Leo back in time while Piper and Darryl must prevent the marriage of Phoebe and Cole, whose bodies are inhabited by outlaw ghosts.

"Trial By Magic"
Phoebe must convince other jury members of the existence of magic while Piper, Paige and Leo frantically search for the real killer in time to free the innocent man.

"Lost and Bound"
The sisters must teach a 10-year old Firestarter how to use his power for good, which also brings up issues for Piper and Leo who are keen on having children.

"Charmed and Dangerous"
The Source taps into the ultimate power of the Hollow, which consumes all magical powers, to unleash an ancient evil that goes after the sister's powers one by one, forcing the powerless Charmed Ones into a battle with the source, without Leo to heal them who has been shot with a poisoned arrow.

"The Three Faces of Phoebe"
When Phoebe casts a spell to decide if she should marry Cole, she faces her past and future, while Cole is unable to control the evil growing within him.

"Marry Go Round"
Phoebe fights her sisters on her wedding day while The Source, which has completely taken over Cole, orchestrates a demonic ceremony.

"The Fifth Halliwheel"
Paige, who feels like a fifth wheel among her happily married sisters and husbands, becomes convinced that Cole is still evil.

"Saving Private Leo"
When two ghosts seek revenge on Leo by killing Piper, Phoebe and Paige face the horror of losing another sister.

"Bite Me"
With the hopes of unseating Cole as ruler of the Underworld, a Vampire Queen orders her fanged charges to attack Paige and turn her into a blood-sucker to get a Charmed One on their side. Paige's undead transformation isn't sealed until she takes her first victim, and the Vampire Queen urges her to feed on her own sisters.

"We're Off to See the Wizard"
Piper, Paige and Leo team up with a magical Wizard to stop the coronation of a new Source, not realizing that the new head of the Underworld is Cole and Phoebe is his Evil Queen-to-be.

"Long Live the Queen"
Phoebe has chosen to stay with Cole and take on the role as Queen of the Underworld, but a premonition of an innocent in danger compels her to rejoin her sisters. Word spreads that the Queen is responsible for saving an innocent and Phoebe and Cole may be facing a bloody coup, with the only solution to prove their dark allegiance being to kill Phoebe's family.

"Womb Raider"
As Phoebe's unborn baby starts to show signs of having fierce demonic powers and a violent hatred for Paige, The Seer plots to steal Phoebe's baby thereby gaining the power bestowed upon the heir of The Source.

"Witch Way Now?"
Phoebe, Piper and Paige are visited by the Angel of Destiny, who offers the Charmed Ones the chance to chart a new destiny as a reward for vanquishing the Source of All Evil. The sister can remain Charmed or choose to relinquish their powers and lead normal lives again. Piper and Leo learn some good news of their own.

With The Power Of Three back into play, the fourth season of Charmed is definitely bound to bewitch you all over again. Honestly, I really enjoyed this fourth season, but I was very upset to see that Prue is no longer with her beloved sisters. I was really heartbroken over Prue's absence, but Paige is doing a great job, despite her screw-ups, with keeping The Power Of Three glued together.

<I>Charmed: The Complete Third Season is a little different from its previous seasons in that the long-running series, for the first time, is dominated by a single story arc that affects nearly every episode. Actor Julian McMahon (<I>Nip/Tuck</I>, <I>Fantastic Four</I>) joins the <I>Charmed</I> cast as Assistant District Attorney Cole Turner, who enters the show when he unsuccessfully prosecutes a demon-possessed killer who attacks the Halliwell sisters' police ally, Inspector Morris (Dorian Gregory). In short order, Cole becomes romantically involved with Phoebe (Alyssa Milano), but it's soon revealed that he's actually a demon, part of an unholy plot to destroy the Charmed Ones, i.e. the Halliwell sisters.

Trouble is, Cole's human incarnation begins to battle with his demon self, and the rest of the season is really dedicated to the ramifications of his ambivalence. Even old issues on <I>Charmed</I>, such as the forbidden love of Piper (Holly Marie Combs) and Leo (Brian Krause), an angelic Whitelighter, become secondary to the Cole-Phoebe story. (The latter becomes supernatural when Phoebe's misery over Cole turns her into a shrieking Banshee and the pair meet up in the hellish Dark Side.) Season highlights include "Primrose Empath," in which Shannen Doherty gives a superb performance when her character, Prue Halliwell, takes on the powers of an empath and is soon overwhelmed by the emotional pain carried by scores of others. "Sleuthing with the Enemy" finds Prue and Piper, in the first of several such stories, working at opposite purposes from Phoebe, who is intent on saving Cole from capture or destruction. The clever and comic "Look Who's Barking" concerns a spell that turns Prue into a Banshee-tracking dog who gets hit by a car and briefly becomes the pet of a handsome, single man. Season finale "All Hell Breaks Loose" may be the best <I>Charmed</I> episode in its first three years, a scary and apocalyptic tale in which the powers of the Halliwell sisters, long kept secret, are revealed to an insatiable news media, the police and military, and dangerous crazies. Not to be missed. <I>--Tom Keogh</I>

Description

Protecting the innocent, vanquishing evil and evil doers, and generally righting wrongs are not exactly on the agenda of every twenty-something on the fast track to discovering what life's all about. But for the Halliwell sisters, this has become their destiny. Prue, the oldest, is driven to succeed and dislikes the free-spirited antics of the youngest sister Phoebe. Piper, the earthy middle sister, mediates between her siblings. Phoebe discovers The Book of Shadows in the attic and their witchly powers are activated, igniting a bond that reaches beyond petty, sisterly grudges. Prue has the power to move objects, Piper to freeze time and Phoebe to see the future. The sisters must band together to protect themselves, and the world, from the dark, demonic forces that seek to destroy them. It's an existence fraught with excitement and danger, but these three unique sisters wouldn't trade their "charmed" lives for anything.

5 out of 5 stars My favorite season of Charmed.......2007-06-02

Although Shannen will be missed, who can complain about the arrival of Julian McMahon (swoon!)??
This season still had all the Charmed magic - no pun intended - with less of the whining personal life issues that seem to plague the later seasons.
Favorite episode of ALL time - All Halliwell's Eve, worth the purchase of the DVD alone!
Granted there are no bonus features or special content, just the episodes, still a great time reliving the glory days of Charmed!

3 out of 5 stars Brand new as advertised........2007-05-29

dont really know what to say on a review for a dvd other than it came new as said, un-scratcted. seem like everything is fine.

5 out of 5 stars RIP Prue.......2007-05-25

Season 3 was not as good as the first 3 but over all still pretty good. The indroduction of a demon into the Charmed Ones' lives was a great storyline and the beginning of Cole's battle of good vs. evil and this week he is good next week he is bad. I was sad to see Shannon go but was also sick of the Season 3 storylines mainly revolving around her. Even Piper's wedding was about her.

I enjoy waiting to see what will happen next to the sisters.

<I>Charmed: The Complete First Season</I> recaptures a period when television's WB network was particularly keen on series about the supernatural and specially powered characters. The original home of <I>Buffy the Vampire Slayer</I> and future launch pad for <I>Angel</I> and <I>Smallville</I>, the WB debuted <I>Charmed</I> in 1998 with many of the same intriguing ironies that made those other shows click. Specifically, the greater a character's powers, the more vulnerable he or she becomes; the more superhuman, the more painfully obvious one's lonely, fragile humanity. The Halliwells, a trio of witch heroines and siblings at the center of <I>Charmed</I>, is a case in point. Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) returns to her San Francisco family home after losing her job, and moves in with her older sisters Prue (Shannen Doherty) and Piper (Holly Marie Combs). On her first night back, Phoebe finds the <I>Book of Shadows</I> in the attic and recites a spell giving all three women unique powers they were always meant to have: Prue suddenly has the gift of telekinesis, Piper can make time stand still, and Phoebe can see into the future. All well and good, but along with those extraordinary abilities is a new awareness of dark forces in the world from which mortals need protection. In some cases, those forces have been plotting a long time to steal the Halliwell's magical legacy once they awakened to it--and now they will never let up.

Evil warlocks, demons, ancient curses, Grimlocks, and Wendigos (the last two are best left explained by their respective episodes), however, are only half the battle on this sexy dramedy, in which more ordinary matters of emotional and real-world survival also preoccupy the Halliwells. An important ally, Inspector Andy Trudeau (Ted King), is Prue's ex-lover, a delicate detail that mixes pain with duty as the couple rekindles their troubled relationship while solving otherworldly crimes. In "Dead Man Dating," Piper falls for the ghost of a murdered man who needs help, and later competes with Phoebe for the attention of a handyman, Leo (Brian Krause). Jobs and money are always an issue, too. At one time or another, Phoebe works as a psychic, Piper as a caterer, and Prue finds a job at an auction house. As with <I>Buffy</I>, the engine of <I>Charmed</I> is the seamless, sometimes-comic, sometimes-tender way in which all these dynamics in the magic and non-magic worlds blend together, presenting young adult challenges that are both unique and somehow terribly familiar. It is particularly fun to watch this series grow, deepen, and experiment during its first year. The season's true highlight is probably "That 70s Episode," in which the Halliwells go back in time to meet their younger selves. <I>--Tom Keogh</I>

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Season 1-A Charmed Beginning!!.......2007-06-20

When Charmed premiered in October 1998, TV magic was literally born!!! We were introduced to three normal sisters:Prue, the oldest, had a lot of attitude and tried to keep everything in her life in check!!! Piper, the middle sister, who was sweet but very sarcastic!! Lastly, Phoebe, the free-spirited and wild but caring little sister!! When Phoebe moves back in with her sisters, they have no idea that they would become the most powerful witches in the world!! This season we meet Andy, Prue's ex-boyfriend from high school who's an inspector, and his partner Darryl!!! Here is Season 1:

Something Wicca This Way Comes-Great episode!!! "When Phoebe Haliwell moves back in with her sisters Prue and Piper, they become the Charmed Ones, the most powerful witches in the world." We are introduced to the characters nicely and the cast is just fresh!! With a great blend of twists and turns, this was a perfect way to begin the season and series!!!

I've Got You Under My Skin-Weak episode!!! "The sisters struggle to control their powers as they face a demon who steals youth from young women." Not a good follow up, the demon plot was lacking but Piper's fear of being a witch was a well written sub plot.

Thank You For Not Morphing-Weak episode!!! "The sisters' father returns knowing that they're witches now, while shape-shifters try to steal the Book of Shadows." The actor who plays Victor is a bad actor, and the shapeshifters are worse!

Dead Man Dating-Great episode!!! "Piper befriends a ghost who needs help of the sisters to justify his death." A touching and original episode with Mark and Piper making a good couple!

Dream Sorcerer-Pretty good episode!!! "Prue is stalked in her dreams by a man who kills women in their dreams, while Piper and Phoebe cast a love spell." This episode, the first time I saw, just gave me chills!!! The dream sequences were creepy and scary, but the plot was kind of anti-climatic in the end.

The Wedding From Hell-Bad episode!!! "Piper caters a wedding where the wife-to-be is a demon in disguise, can the Charmed Ones save the groom??" The demons looked pretty scary but God, all the guest stars were awful!

The Fourth Sister-Pretty good episode!!! "A teenage girl with mysterious powers befriends Phoebe, and trys to join the Charmed Ones." Aviva was annoying character, but it was good to see another person with powers.

The Truth Is Out There...And It Hurts-Great episode-"The Charmed Ones race to stop a warlock from the future, while Prue puts a truth spell on Andy." The special effects were good and the truth spell brought some hilarious moments.

The Witch Is Back-Great Episode-"After a 300 year old warlock is released from a locket, The Charmed Ones summon the first witch of their line to vanquish him." We meet Melinda Warren, the sisters' a lot of greats, great grandmother!!!

Wicca Envy-Great Episode!!! "Rex and Hannah, two of Prue's fellow workers, are actually warlocks who frame Prue, and force the sisters to give up their powers." I liked Rex and Hannah, too bad they didn't return later in the series since they were great villians!!

Feats of Clay-Bad episode!!! "Phoebe's old boyfriend comes by for a visit, bringing with him an ancient egyptian spirit that is hunting him." Clay wasn't that interesting of a charater, and the plot dragged!!

The Wendigo-Great episode!!! "After Piper gets attacked by some kind of werewolf, she begans to transform into it. Can Prue and Phoebe destroy the wendigo in time to save her??" The Wendigo was very scary looking, and Holly Marie Combs gives a great performance doing both comedy and drama flawlessy!!

From Fear To Eternity-Great episode!!! "The Charmed Ones are hunted by Barbas, the Demon of Fear, who scares witches to death on Friday the 13th." Barbas makes his first appearance of the next 4. He was really a good demon at first, but he was just too overused later on.

Secrets and Guys-Good episode!!! "Prue helps a young boy who is a witch when they are kidnapped, while Phoebe finds out Leo is a whitelighter." The Prue and Max scenes were touching and so was Leo and Piper saying goodbye.

Is There A Woogy in the House?-Great episode!!! "When Phoebe is possessed by the shadow in the basement that turns her evil, Prue and Piper must help Phoebe before the shadow consumes more." We see Grams for the first time, We learn about the spiritual nexus, and learn one of Charmed's famous spells: The Woogyman spell!!

Which Prue is it, Anyway?-Good episode!!! "When the sisters must stop a powerful ancient warlock named The Lord of War, Prue uses a spell to strengthen her powers, leading to two more Prues." The Prues were funny in this episode, Shannon has great comedic timing!!!

That '70s Episode-Amazing Episode!!! "After being attacked by a warlock named Nicholas, the sisters travel back to the 70s to stop their mom from making a packed with him." A very emotional episode with the sisters meeting their mother and Phoebe for the first time. Loved little Prue and Piper!

When Bad Warlocks Go Good-Pretty good episode!!! "Prue must help Brendon, a warlock who wants to become a priest and stop his evil warlock brothers." I liked Brendon, he should have returned as well!!! He and Prue could have made a good couple, but his a priest!!!

Blind Sided-Great episode!!! "The Charmed Ones must find a boy who was kidnapped by the Grimlocks who steal the sight of little boys." The Grimlocks were inventive demons! The chemistry between Phoebe and Brent was touching! Also, Prue's power advances, now she can us her hands to move things!!

The Power of Two-Great episode!!! "While Piper is off on a business trip, Prue and Phoebe must stop a ghost who is killing innocent people." Andy finally knows about the sisters, and Prue and Phoebe actually become closer finally!

Love Hurts-Great episode!!! "Leo returns, informing the Charmed Ones that they need to help a young woman who is being stalked by a darklighter." Piper and Leo's powers get switched, as well as Prue and Phoebe's! Piper and Leo have one of their first romantic moments in the series!!

Deja Vu All Over Again-Amazing Episode!!! "Phoebe gets a premonition of Andy's death. Trying to save him, the sisters die over and over again as the day repeats itself over and over again. Can they save themselves and Andy???" This was a brilliant finale, everytime one of the sisters died, it was so sad. This is also Andy's last episode, I miss him!!! Tempus and Inspector Rodriguez were great villains!!

Season 1 was a great set up for the series done very well. Almost every episode was great, the acting was superb, and the stories were well-written!!! The show had a dramatic and suspenseful atmosphere this season, which I love about the first season!!! Go and by the set to re-live the Golden days of Charmed!!!

5 out of 5 stars CHARMED: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON (1998-1999).......2007-03-16

When I first heard of this show, I was rather skeptical to it. I wanted to watch it, but I wasn't sure that I should. Just this year, I decided that it was time to watch the show, where I had bought the first four seasons on DVD. After watching this first season, I realized that I deeply regretted not watching this show from the very start to the very end.

PRUE HALLIWELL (played by the beautiful Shannen Doherty) and her sister, PIPER HALLIWELL (played by the beautiful Holly Marie Combs) are living in their old family manor in San Fransisco, CA. They have been living there, taking care of their grandmother, PENELOPE "PENNY" HALLIWELL (played by Jennifer Rhodes), who had been sick for awhile. But it wasn't until six months ago that Grams had passed on. The girls' mother, PATRICIA "PATTY" HALLIWELL (played by Finola Hughes) had already died when the girls were very young. Moving in with Prue and Piper is their sister, PHOEBE HALLIWELL (played by the sexy knock-out, Alyssa Milano). I should mention that Prue is the oldest of the sisters, with Piper being the 2nd oldest, and Phoebe being the baby. Below is the episode list.

"Something Wicca This Way Comes"
Phoebe returns to live with her older sisters, Prue and Piper, and finds a book of witchcraft in the attic. After reciting an incantation, they gain the supernatural powers they were destined to have.

"I've Got You Under My Skin"
Piper has trouble dealing with her power while Phoebe meets a photographer who is sucking the life out of young women to maintain his youth.

"Thank You for Not Morphing"
The sisters' estranged father returns, but trouble arises when he teams up with the new neighbors, who are more than what they seem.

"Dead Man Dating"
Piper falls for the ghost of a recently murdered man who needs her help. Phoebe gets a job as a hotel psychic to pay for Prue's birthday present.

"Dream Sorcerer"
Prue finds her sleep disturbed by strange visions in which she's taunted by a man. Meanwhile Phoebe and Piper cast a spell to attract men which goes awry.

"The Wedding from Hell"
The sisters must face Hecate, a powerful demon goddess, who is attempting to conceive a full demon child.

"The Fourth Sister"
A troubled teenage girl who has been manipulated by an evil sorceress befriends Phoebe with the hopes of joining the Halliwells.

"The Truth Is Out There...and It Hurts"
The sisters race to stop a mysterious killer while Prue uses a truth spell on Andy.

"The Witch Is Back"
A warlock from the past is released from his curse and tries to steal the sisters' powers, but the sisters resurrect their ancestor to combat him.

"Wicca Envy"
When Prue is framed by Rex for stealing from the auction house, it's up to Piper and Phoebe to save her and uncover the truth.

"Feats of Clay"
When Phoebe's ex-boyfriend comes to town he brings trouble in the forum of a stolen Egyptian urn which carries a mortal curse.

"The Wendigo"
When Piper is attacked by a vicious beast, Andy goes on a stakeout with an FBI agent who is hunting the creature.

"From Fear to Eternity"
The sisters' mother warns them about a demon from the underworld who comes around every 1300 years on Friday the 13th to literally scare witches to death and feed on their fear.

"Secrets and Guys"
Prue helps a young witch who has been kidnapped, and renews her own faith in having children. Meanwhile, Phoebe finds out that Leo is really a guardian angel, causing him to break up with Piper.

"Is There A Woogy In The House?"
An earthquake releases a shadow demon, "the Woogyman". Phoebe, under his control, tries to kill Prue and Piper, who must find a way to rescue Phoebe and vanquish the demon.

"Which Prue Is It, Anyway?"
When Phoebe has a premonition of Prue being stabbed to death, it coincides with a warrior coming to town in order to kill the eldest sibling witch as he did to the sisters' great-great-great-aunt. Prue casts a spell to triple her powers but ends up making two clones of herself.

"That '70s Episode"
The three sisters go back in time to the 1970s, when their mother was still alive, to try and prevent her from making a pact with a powerful warlock in which he spared her life in exchange for the girls' powers.

"When Bad Warlocks Go Good"
Prue attempts to help a young man who wants to become a priest in order to avoid fulfilling his destiny as a warlock of the Evil Charmed Ones.

"Out of Sight"
When Prue witnesses a kidnapping in the park, a reporter sees her using her powers. Phoebe and Piper attempt to learn more about the demons who stole the child and stop the reporter from exposing Prue. Meanwhile, Andy finally learns about Prue's powers.

"The Power of Two"
While taking a tour of Alcatraz, Phoebe sees the ghost of killer take possession of a guard's body so he can cross the waters surrounding the prison, and must stop him before it's too late.

"Love Hurts"
Leo is shot by the arrow of darklighter, and asks the sisters to help to protect a girl that is being targeted by the darklighter. Piper casts a spell to swap her powers with Leo's which mistakenly causes Prue and Phoebe's powers to swap also.

"Deja Vu All Over Again"
As a warlock makes plans for his attempt to kill the Charmed Ones, he receives a visit from Tempus, a demon who will turn back time until the warlock succeeds in killing all the sisters.

This show is outstandingly CHARMing, and it will definitely BEWTICH you. Each sister is very unique (not to mention extremely sexy). I would be lying if I said that I loved all three sisters. But in all honesty, Prue is my favorite. This is a great show, and this is the season to start out with.

5 out of 5 stars Daughter loved it.......2007-03-15

This was a gift for my daughter who is hooked on the series "Charmed". She loved the idea of being able to watch the shows without commericals and at any time she wanted. Also being able to watch the shows in original order is great too.

3 out of 5 stars My oh my Milano.......2007-03-02

So that there be no confusion, I would like to submit two reviews for this movie - one for the Alyssa Milano fans, the other for all others.

To the true fans of Alyssa Milano - WOW, yibiba yibida yabada, houley-douley, spin my nipples and call me Susan. Alyssa is HOT HOT HOT in this one. You'll see more of her in this film than in any other (so far as I know). You'll also see her do a suggestive lesbian scenario and also a highly sensual scene with three others, inclunding one female, alomst totally nude! As for the film plot, acting, script, musical score... who cares. 5 stars all for Alyssa.

To all others - this film has nothing realy going for it unless you want to see lots of nudity (particulary of Alyssa). The acting - there are single-celled organisms floating over the abyssal plains of the deep Atlantic with better acting capabilties; An orang-utan could written a better script; and the film is as scary as watching a fluffy bunny rabbit frolic about in pleasant green fields. 1 star for this movie (that includes me ignoring my complete obsession with Alyssa).

Hope this helps.

2 out of 5 stars embracing alyssa.......2007-01-04

bought it to check her out, and she did show most of the goodies but other than that the show bombed not worth watching other than the occasional moment that martin kemp could have made her scream i'am a bad girl...

5 out of 5 stars The Erotic Embrace of the Vampire.......2007-01-03

Alyssa Milano is banging in this erotic tale about a vampire who is looking to regain his lost love. Alyssa's "quite often" naked body is awesome -- enjoy!

Two years before he let it all hang out in Boogie Nights, former rapper and Calvin Klein underwear model Mark Wahlberg played the psychotic boyfriend in this derivative but surprisingly effective thriller, aptly described by producer Brian Grazer as "Fatal Attraction for teens." Reese Witherspoon plays Nicole Walker, the unwitting teenager who gets the hots for David McCall (Wahlberg). David only seems like a nice guy until he gets upset by the girl's overly protective father. That's when hell breaks loose and the love-struck Romeo turns into a deadly threat who just won't go away. You'd think this kind of material would be beneath the talents of a fine director like James Foley (whose credits include At Close Range and Glengarry Glen Ross), but Foley gives the film just the right blend of style and tension to match Wahlberg's breakthrough role as an all-too-believable teenage maniac. You might feel silly afterwards, but don't be surprised if you find yourself getting caught up in the expertly manipulative suspense. --Jeff Shannon

4 out of 5 stars entertainly good.......2007-05-14

I enjoyed the film and was happy to see such qulity of acting.

4 out of 5 stars old glory.......2007-05-07

when watching this really good movie, you realize just how old it is. william petersen for starters just makes you want to watch him as grissom on csi, wahlberg straight off of calvin klein billboards and witherspoon centuries before winning her oscar for walk the line. well worth the watch it keeps you in the whole time.

3 out of 5 stars Exciting, ultraviolent and way over the top.......2007-04-20

Neither Mark Wahlberg, Reese Witherspoon, "CSI" star William Petersen nor "Fraser" girlfriend Amy Brenneman had hit their stride in TV and movies when this 1996 production was released, leaving only Hollywood bad girl Alyssa Milano as a name star in this teen version of "Fatal Attraction" that also mixes some affect from both the original and remake of "Cape Fear".

Wahlberg, who until this time had been known as rapper Mark E. Mark and a pinup underwear model, plays a psycho that matches physical skill with mental aptitude to alternately charm and terrorize high schooler Witherspoon, dad Peterson, and stepmom Brenneman. His role is metaphoric to the role Glenn Close played in "Fatal Attraction" while dad Peterson figures out right away he's a bad guy and warns daughter and wife of his bad deeds to come.

The film travels a predictable path to an apocalyptic closing scene where Wahlberg and his gang of four seek revenge on Peterson, who trashed their home. They come equipped with guns, other weapons and psychic terror to carry out their revenge...only to learn the family lives in an impregnable home. As you may guess, it turns out not to be impregnable after all. The movie closes with many scenes of ultraviolence where the ending is just as predicatable as the rest of the story.

What characterizes this film is its incredible violence. In one scene, a child of about 10 or 12 runs over a bad guy with a car. In another scene, stepmom Brenneman drills a hole through a bad guy's hand with a handheld motorized drill. Another time teen Witherspoon stabs her former boyfriend with a jagged edged piece of wood, leaving a gaping hole in his back. If this isn't enough, there is an animal beheading in the flick.

This is an exciting and involving film but its copycat story and level of violence work against its value as art. While there is a lot of shock value to keep you riveted to the screen, it become increasingly more over the top as it goes on. In that respect it reminded me of the 1979 opus "Fury", where scenes of incredible violence punctuated the final 30 minutes and essentially changed the value of the film.

"Fear", too, is a throwback to 1970s slasher and hate filled movies and operates in the same horizontal plane. It pretends to be a teen version of "Fatal Attraction" with some of the tension of "Cape Fear" but is actually more akin to "The Hills Have Eyes" with violent criminals taking the place of "The Hills'" flesh eating wackos. Meanwhile, Mark Wahlberg's psycho has none of the artistry that Robert Mitchum and Robert DeNiro displayed in the original and remade "Cape Fear".

I think it a good idea to show some fear before buying this and bringing it home if you have children under age 17. If you are a teen and/or want a cheap thrill, excitement and violence, this is your cup of tea.

5 out of 5 stars Real Cool!!!!!.......2007-04-10

For some odd reason, just watched this for the first time on TV,a month ago.I am a big fan of Wahlberg and loved it. Purchased the DVD,at a local entertainment store. If you like Wahlberg or any other cast member and a fan of suspense, this is for you. Check it out!!!!!

4 out of 5 stars seduction not from 1 movie, but from 3.......2007-04-12

IDGI... AMAZON RECCOMENDATIONS ARE USUALLY SO ON-TARGET.

whoever is responsible for recommending THIS to me must've had abou' as much empathic intuition as a bowling ball thas a liiiittle bit oerdosed on crack cocaine or sumethin', if ya' catch my drift..

IDGI...I've always been more of an Ally Sheedy, Short Circuit, Sentimentalist of sorts...(rolling 2d0 again) I only turn to this stuff to distract myself from solitude and mean-spirited, judgmental looks of others...(sigh), its enough to make a grown man...

3 out of 5 stars Skin flicks, anyone?.......2007-03-28

While the first installment with Drew Barrymore is fairly good, the subsequent films are just reasons to get a couple of hot actresses naked. The storyline of Lily has nothing to do with the first one, and only mentions someone named "Ivy" in passing. New Seduction shows the main character being Ivy's sister, Violet. What the two sequels seemed to have missed is that "Ivy" was a nickname given to the main character in the first film and not her actual name...but I digress. Watch the first, then, as another reviewer said, turn down the volume for Parts 2 and 3.

5 out of 5 stars Ignore the Non-Philistine Naysayers.......2007-03-12

It's simple - Jaime Pressly in the hottest thing she ever did. These kinds of films are often all gong and no dinner, but not in the case of "The New Seduction". You'll flip your toupee watching it, or I'll eat my shorts. Also, Ms. Milano makes the second entry watchable. What's that? Don't care for the plot, music, story, acting, etc.? Just turn the sound down and enjoy. Get'chr priorities straight, son.

1 out of 5 stars 3 terrible movies, 1 low price........2006-11-09

These 3 awful soft core erotic thrillers are some of the worst movies ever made.

The only reason to watch them is to see a 17 year old Drew Barrymore strut her stuff in the 1st film playing a very bad girl (though she doesn't do any actual nudity, her body double was Jamie Pressly ironically enough.)

The 2nd film has Alyssa Milano looking really nice in the buff.

And the 3rd film has Jamie Pressly discarding her clothing for most of the film.

But as for the films themselves? Terrible.

At least in the 1st film, they seemed to actually be reaching for something more artistic than just exploitative trash, but due to a pathetic script, they ended failing. Didn't register as a blip at all pretty much during it's original theatrical run after the whole Drew-Barrymore-sheds-her-good-girl-image press had run its course.

The filmmakers involved with the 2nd and 3rd films just didn't even try. They were also done as straight-to-video releases.

The films are all 3 shown in their unmatted full frame theatrical ratios, which actually helps as the full frame versions show some more flesh in some scenes.

These are also the more explicit unrated versions of all 3 versions as well. The pointless R rated versions available on the old DVD's have been jettisoned.

Only for super, super hardcore fans of the 3 actresses involved in the films.

There's nothing at all otherwise to be gained from watching these 3 cinematic abominations.
