Being a teenager is always difficult, but imagine how complicated things must be for a teenage witch trying to fit in at a mortal high school. In this first (1996) season of CBS Television's live-action Sabrina The Teenage Witch series, Sabrina's aunts Zelda and Hilda have provided their niece with a happy, relatively normal life following the divorce of her parents, but her 16th birthday brings a big surprise--it turns out that her aunts are witches who have known all along that Sabrina is half mortal and half witch. Now that she's turning 16, Sabrina suddenly finds herself in the possession of special powers which she must develop and learn to control. Even Sabrina's cat Salem turns out to be a witch imprisoned in a cat's body. After the initial shock and denial wear off, Sabrina discovers that there are some definite benefits to being able to turn back time and cast the occasional spell on her classmates. Essentially your typical teenager, Sabrina struggles with popularity, labels, and love along a journey toward personal growth and an understanding of the value of rules, the importance of self-esteem, and the universality of guilt and making mistakes. Sometimes magic eases Sabrina's way, while other times it seems only to complicate things. Whether hanging out in the world of high school and American suburbia, the red planet Mars, or the surreal Pleasure dome where a witch can have absolutely anything she wants, Sabrina is really just an average teenage witch struggling through adolescence. (Ages 8 and older) --Tami Horiuchi
Description
When Sabrina Spellman is informed by her aunts, Hilda and Zelda, that she is a witch on her 16th birthday, she is hesitant to believe them. Having been sent to live with them in Massachusetts by her Warlock father and mortal mother, Sabrina learns the tricks of magic in order to receive her witch's license. Along the way, she gets into many scrapes while figuring out how certain spells work. She also has to keep the secret from her boyfriend, Harvey, friends Jenny and later Valerie, stuck-up nemesis Libby, and her ever-suspicious vice-principal, Mr. Kraft.
Customer Reviews:
Sabrina the "Feel-Good" Teenage Witch.......2007-06-12
There are very few "feel-good" TV shows like Sabrina the Teenage Witch.
It's episodes are timeless and will find enjoyment at any generation level.
It also helps that Melissa Joan Hart was made for the part. That is the reason that the show lasted for 7 seasons.
It could have gone on forever if it weren't for the fact that the TV series could not make the transition to Sabrina the Adult-age Witch to accomodate the grown-up Melissa. This series will always be remembered about a witch and her surrounding teenage environment.
Archie Comics hated this series...........2007-06-05
It perhaps did not help things when Hart and the show's writers turned this into a show with more blue jokes and suggestive content humor, something that might have earned rateings, but Archie Comics (who owns the Sabrina Character) did not. They openly stated in the press that they did not like what show did to their character and did everything they could eventually get it off the air, and I think they were somewhat successful. None of their comics readers ever openly said that they watched it, and since then Archie Comics has not actively done anymore business about putting their characters on live action Tv or film.
Good ole' TGIF!!.......2007-05-19
This was my favorite TV show back in the Golden Age of Friday night television. A place where kids and adults alike could sit in front of the TV and laugh the evening away.
Hart plays a sixteen year old girl who finds out from her eccentric aunts that she's a witch. So, armed with the task of learning her magic and being a "normal" teenager at the same time, she has many adventures and blunders but it's a blast watching them!
Season 2... hurry!!
Complete first season of TV-series.......2007-05-14

On her 16th birthday, Sabrina Spellman (Melissa Joan Hart) discovers that she has been given the gift of magic. Her aunts Hilda (Caroline Rhea) and Zelda (Beth Broderick) inform her that she is a witch. The series contain a sense of humour and can be quite sweet without getting childish.

Some diehard Batfans have been slow to warm to the animated series Batman Beyond even though it was created by the same team responsible for the excellent Batman cartoon of the early '90s. The Dark Knight should be a brooding avenger in a noir-nightmare Gotham City, the purists argue, not some smart-aleck teen four decades in the future, with jet packs, invisibility shields, and other sci-fi gizmos loaned him by an elderly Bruce Wayne (voiced, excellently as always, by Kevin Conroy, his stony bass given a raspy hint of old age), now confined to hobbling about on a cane and monitoring his protégé's activities from the Batcave. Between its respectful reexamination of the "tortured hero" mythos and its sleek, anime-inspired look, this feature-length movie should go a long way toward quieting their complaints. Of course, it doesn't hurt that they've brought back the most legendary figure in the Rogues Gallery (voiced by Mark Hamill, deliciously deranged), but exactly how and why the Joker has managed to turn up 40 years after his last meeting with Batman still as youthful and diabolical as ever is explained not only logically but terrifyingly as well. The secret behind his arrival is perhaps the saddest, grimmest twist any purported "kids' show" has dared to attempt. (Parents may well want to preview this tape before screening it for the very young.) Once again, Warner Brothers' cartoon Batman has outshone all the live-action films, never allowing the thrilling action set pieces or flashes of wry humor to drown out the drama, even tragedy, of the all-too-human superheroes. --Bruce Reid

Customer Reviews:
Batman Beyond finally shines!!.......2007-05-26
The Batman Beyond series was definately not as good as Batman TAS or The New Adventures of Batman. It wasn't that the idea wasn't good. It's just Terry isn't a Bruce Wayne and definately not the original Batman. Also the black and red with no cape does take some getting used to. But I do like some secrets that are revealed like Bruce and Babs relationship. Who woulda thought!? Anyway, when The Return of the Joker came out it was pure gold. The flashback to the good ol' days was great, although sad. Too bad for Tim. I definately recommend the Uncut version. It's definately as PG-13 as they warn. Talk about Murder anyone?? Torture?? Definately pick this one up. If you don't like Beyond, you'll definately like the Bruce/Babs/Tim/and Joker angle. Great Stuff.
Better!.......2007-05-15
It's like a totally diffrent movie from the original release.
The re-addition of the cut scenes makes it a much, much more powerful movie. It also makes a heck of a lot more sense this way that it did as the WB butchered version.
Very recomended even if you have the original release. If you don't, then this is the version you need to have.
Not your older brothers Batman, this is better.......2007-04-01
I relate the critics view of this series to the Transformers vs. Beast Wars crowd. That to be true to the source material the story has to be THE same with updated animation. I think that is wrong. This is a brilliant series, with this movie being the Pen-Ultimate. Sadly, the animation and story are so good, that everything that came in the season after, was just not as good. Although Batman Beyond's appearances in the later Justice League show is brilliant. This movie also has one of the darkest and twisted ends for one of our great heroe's that has to be seen to believed. Not since Batman "Death in the Family" from the comics, has innocence been this lost. Not for young viewers. Great movie.
Uncut Version information.......2007-03-28
I recently purchased the "Uncut Version" elsewhere, the cover of my copy looks like the one Amazon has pictured here. The ISBN for my copy is 1-4198-1383-8 and the UPC code number is 012569717251.
My case says "Full Length Movie" across the top (white lettering on blue.) There is no mention of it being uncut on the cover but the peel off plastic seal says "The Original, Uncut Version." The cover lists the running time as 76 minutes (not the 77 minute time listed on the 2002 release of the Uncut Version.)
The DVD itself has different information. It clearly states "The Original, Uncut Version" and says the film is Widescreen (unfortunately not anamorphic) with a running time of 77 minutes and a rating of PG-13. I haven't watched the whole film yet but did check how a certain someone dies and it is the by the "uncut" method.
Be Prepared - Be very Prepared........2007-02-20
I replaced my VHS copy of the movie with this one. I wasn't quite ready for the additional violence. I'm not going to ruin the plot by saying more.
I recommend this movie - it is very good - but it is not for children. I rate it PG 13.

This conflicted teen comedy can't decide what it wants to be. Is Drive Me Crazy a mainstream piffle about a popular girl who turns her grungy next-door neighbor into a dream date? Or is it a sneaky critique of high school conformity? Melissa Joan Hart (TV's Sabrina, the Teenage Witch) is angling to get asked to an upcoming dance by a basketball star, but when her plans go awry, she turns to a childhood friend (Adrian Grenier from The Adventures of Sebastian Cole) in the hopes of avoiding total humiliation. Grenier wants to win back his recently lost girlfriend, so he agrees to Hart's total makeover plan to induce jealousy. Naturally, the scam turns into something sparky. Teen flicks always make things too glossy and upscale, but Drive Me Crazy somehow fumbles its design and ends up looking false and square. The movie initially presents Grenier's transformation as unqualified good, with no sense that anything he was doing before--political protests, alternative music, rebellious pranks--had any value. But as the plot unfolds, a few barbed twists undercut the good cheer, sneakily commenting on school spirit and popularity. These themes wrestle uncomfortably with the movie's production values, resulting in a curiously provocative jumble. This confusion is probably why the movie was only a modest success in theaters, but it's actually what makes Drive Me Crazy worth looking at now. --Bret Fetzer
Description
Opposites attract with irresistible force in this fresh, funny, feel-good comedy about two mismatched teens who scheme to make their ex's jealous. Melissa Joan Hart (TV's "Sabrina the Teenage Witch") is "picture perfect" (CBS-TV, Fort Worth) as a peppy preppy who performs the ultimate makeover on her scruffy next-door neighbor (Adrian Grenier) - and discovers this former "frog" was a prince all along! With a screenplay by Rob Thomas (Dawson's Creek), a cast featuring today's hottest young stars, plus the smash hit songs "Crazy" (Britney Spears), and "I Want It That Way" (Backstreet Boys), "Drive Me Crazy" is "worth celebrating!" (Detroit Free Press)
Customer Reviews:
corny but i loved it.......2007-02-23
i love this movie but i think it's good if you are a fan of one or more of the actors because i only watch it for adrian grenier.
A lark of Movie without thought.......2007-02-14
This movie is lively and fun but not much too it. If you need a movie that requires just a little thought this the movie for you. Plot is normal, acting is good.
Nice Teen Flick.......2006-08-18
Basically that's what this movie his. Their not bad actors, and even though the story could have been a little more explored, it's a nice sunday afternoon movie.
A new teen classic.......2005-10-27
The story is your typical preppy girl cleans up outcast to get Jock interested in her, but falls in love, and I know your thinking it's cliche and been done a million times and you are right! But aren't all of these teen comedies mundane? Sure they are! Enjoy them for what they are. Britney Spears sung a great song off of this soundtrack "You Drive Me Crazy" is a hit track.
Great acting.......2005-04-05
This movie is really well done. Each scene flows nicely into the next, the dialogs are perfect, and the caracters are adorable. Just watch it and enjoy.

Good Movie.......2007-05-07
I really like shows with a magical theme to them. This all started when I was a little boy in the 1970s as I watched "Bewitched" every day after school. Now I am an adult and I still enjoy these shows with a magical theme to them. I am so incredibly pleased and thankful that television shows like Sabrina and a plethora of others are available upon DVD; "woohoo" (lol).
Not As Good As TV Series.......2007-04-03
This was An OK Movie And it went into more detail about her witch hertiage but besides Melissa Joan Hart as Sabrina. I Think The TV Series Cast was a Lot More Believable
Another plea!.......2006-02-23
I absolutely LOVED Sabrina The Teenage Witch on Nickedodeon UK TV. I used to watch it every day without fail. I am very surprised that there's still no sign of it being released on DVD. This is not a review of the movie, (even though I did enjoy it!) just another plea to RELEASE THE SERIES ON DVD! PLEASE! Like another reviewer said further down, register on that tvshowsondvd.com website, and find the tv shows voting bit to vote for Sabrina!
Good but I Want To See The Show Get Complete Seeasons on DVD!........2005-10-17
Sabrina the Teenage Witch is one of my favorite TV shows and I know this is the movie that lead to the show but I watched the TV show first before I had ever heard of this movie and a lot of the scenes in this movie are actually remade in the first episode of the TV show and in the movie Harvey, Zelda and Hilda are played by different actors then in the show and though the actors in this movie are okay I prefer the people from the TV show. The only actors who are in both this movie and the TV show are Melissa Joan Hart as Sabrina and Michelle Boudoin as Jenny. I like Melissa Joan Hart as Sabrina but I also like Michelle Boudoin as her best-friend Jenny and I was really annoyed when they got rid of Jenny after he first season of the TV show. Oh, sure I liked her new best-friend Valerie but I wish they had kept Jenny too, I mean couldn't Sabrina have had two best-friends? This is a good movie but I would really like for the TV show to get on DVD in complete seasons!
Fun.......2005-08-04
All the fun and wonder of finding out a teenage girl is a witch. I confess to some wishful thinking whilst watching. Had a great time watching the movie.

Not Another Teen Movie.......2007-04-01
The most precise 80's/90's teen movie spoof! Very funny and the line-up of teen stars is incredible!
Surprised me.......2007-03-25
I got this movie because I wanted some 'mindless fun'. What I got instead was a great comedy. If you haven't watched any other 'teen movies', then some of the skits won't click but it is so well done that it is still enjoyable. Definitely worth the purchase price.
Brilliant brilliant brilliant brilliant... but not 5 star material.......2007-02-18
Wow.... this movie is seriously brilliant. And I'm seriously drunk right now.... but this movie is hellla funny. Points out all the flaws with stupid teen movies. Watch this if you're drunk. Otherwise... I don't know because I'm drunk.
Talk about a "Feel Good Movie!".......2007-01-24
The opening scene with the vibrator was the best part of the entire movie. Watching dewy-eyed, bespectacled Chyler Leigh squirm and cross her eyes while trying unsuccesfully to control her stimulation while her entire family watches was priceless. The buck-naked foreign exchange student was good too.
Funny as Hell!.......2006-12-31
This movie was so funny! Some characters were very stupid, but still funny! But if that guy's friend always dress asian, why does he make fun of them? Great to watch! So funny when you first see the part when the guy sings that the girl had a gun, and everybody ran thinking she had a gun and was caught by the cops and when one dude with the casts whispered at the girl's ear and for real told her nothing to make the other guy telling her. Watch this movie!

Disney's Recess: School's Out dipped in and out of theaters faster than fans of the cable TV show could snap their lunch boxes shut--kind of nice for parents whose idea of grown-up detention is sitting through such fly-by-night kiddie features. Now that home screenings are an option, though, plan for the ages 5-and-older set to settle in for reruns. Also plan to get sucked in yourself--if the screwball plot doesn't do it, the soundtrack will. While TJ and Principal Prickly (the latter the unfortunate bearer of the "saggy butt" that becomes this movie's clunkiest running gag) bust in on a crew of fiendish would-be teachers during summer break, slices of vintage grooviness--Steppenwolf's "Born to be Wild," Strawberry Alarm Clock's "Incense and Peppermints," and Robert Goulet's "Green Tambourine" among them--get you cheering along, whether you're 3 or 43. The reason for all the retro funkiness revolves around the chief bad guy, Phil Benedict, a one-time educational visionary and former Prickly schoolmate. Back in the day, Benedict was a radical school revolutionary, but his manifesto for better test scores misfired when it called for a ban on recess, a concept so barbaric it got him canned from a cushy government job. Now, undeterred in his mission to make life miserable for kids, he's hatching a switcheroo scheme that will forever pull the shade on summer and thus summer vacation. Predictably, right at trigger time, TJ, Prickly, and the gang roar in to the rescue. It's an ending that's as pat as any on the TV show, but so what--this is a movie that aims for summer-linen lightness. Just as the Fifth Dimension promise on the soundtrack, it lets the sunshine, as well as a few well-timed chuckles, in. --Tammy La Gorce
Description
The Third Street Elementary School kids are teaming up to save summer vacation for kids all over the world in Disney's RECESS: SCHOOL'S OUT -- the hit theatrical movie that The Washington Post calls "Great Fun!" The school year is finally ending, and T.J. Detweiler is looking forward to summer. But boredom quickly sets in when his friends leave for camp -- until T.J. uncovers an evil plot to do away with summer vacation! A crazy former principal, Dr. Benedict, is planning to use a laser beam to alter the weather and create permanent winter. Faced with the dire threat of year-round school, T.J. rounds up the RECESS gang and bands together with some unexpected allies -- Miss Finster and Principal Prickly -- in a nonstop adventure to save everyone's summer break. As the kids discover the heroes inside themselves, a platoon of wacky characters, far-out music, and sci-fi surprises turn this madcap mission into a major victory for fun!
Customer Reviews:
Recess: School's Out.......2007-03-11
Recess is something of a misnomer. Despite it's ability to blend quickfire humour and morality it's success has fluctuated with the regularity of the recess bell itself. Yet the spirit of the show which follows the summer vacation's of TJ Detwieler and co. is once more enhanced by this, it's most recent DVD outing.
Whilst the kid's are at summer camp, TJ (or Teej) stumbles across a plot that will change recess forever. Now he must get the gang back together to thwart the plan.
The animation is certainly better than any Pokemon venture, but don't expect Pixar. The strength of Recess has always been in the dynamics between the kids and adults and this remains a potent mix here.
School may be out, but Recess is always in.
recess- school's out.......2005-08-20
awesome kids adventure. things we use to fantasize about in school. great for everyone
Bored already!.......2004-02-26
Makes me fall asleep and lasts too long! Rent it, Dont buy it!
Great Movie.......2003-11-02
Great movie I loved it. Get it because it' funny.
Recess is the best.......2003-05-04
My 4 year old son, Parker, has been watching Recess since he was about 2 1/2. He loves it. He watches it on TV and also on video. Recess is great because not only is it entertaining for our kids, but for us adults as well.
I would recommend this video or any other Recess videos to any parent who wants healthy, smart and wholesome shows for their kids.

Not Another Teen Movie PSP UMD Movie MODEL- 11924 VENDOR- UMD MOVIE FEATURES- Not Another Teen Mov PSP Movie Super-jock Jake Wyler makes a bet with his buddies that he can turn the school frump into a prom queen. But by the time they get to the dance, this over-the-top, outrageous comedy hysterically pays tribute to all of the classic teen movies and moments in film history. Former MTV executive Joel Gallen makes his feature directorial debut with this broad spoof of the popular teen comedy genre, lampooning dozens of movies including American Pie (1999), American Beauty (1999), Bring It On (2000), Clueless (1995), She is All That (1999), Road Trip (2000), Cant Hardly Wait (1998), 10 Things I Hate About You (1999), Never Been Kissed (1999), and even the teen films of an earlier era such as The Breakfast Club (1985). At the aptly titled "John Hughes High School," aspiring artist Janey Briggs (Chyler Leigh) is an outcast because of her plain, bespectacled looks and paint-splattered overalls. Football hero Jake Wyler (Chris Evans) makes a bet that he can transform Janey into a gorgeous prom queen, a wager he may come to regret as he discovers Janeys true inner beauty. As their relationship blossoms, several other characters are limned, including a Nasty Cheerleader (Jaime Pressly), a Token Black Guy (Deon Richmond), a Stupid Fat Guy (Ron Lester), an Obsessed Best Friend (Eric Jungmann), an Undercover Reporter (Beverly Polcyn), the Cruelest Girl in School (Mia Kirshner), a Cocky Blonde Guy (Eric Christian Olsen), and several others. A nod to the multipl

Britney is a super star!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......2005-11-08
The first DVD of Britney, is this. She is a teeneng, a maybe she don't a women, but, she is a girl.
God, please.......2005-08-11
Please, make it so I can have some peace and quiet, while Britney Spears has time out. Maybe her record deal will fire her because of her weak sales of Greatest Hits: My Prerogative. Thank you.
Bodacious Britney.......2004-07-14
Britney Spears is the biggest female superstar in the world right now, and this DVD shows exactly why. First debuting onto the charts in 1998 with her No.1, Grammy-nominated single "...Baby One More Time," Miss Spears has since ruled the roost of teen music, whether or not she was actually performing. This shows the innocent beauty of this teen pop sensation, from her sweet Louisianan accent to her sweet smile. Britney Spears, whether you like her or not, is one of the most substantial singers of the modern era. Her voice was actually pretty tight when she first hit the charts but since, her techno-oriented beats of her latest CDs make her voice not that great. Overall, Britney Spears rocks!
Amazing!.......2003-11-30
An amazing video to watch of Miss Spears!
2 Versions of "Sometimes" bonus!.......2003-03-18
...To see the different version of "Sometimes", go to the [Videos] section. It has a different scene near the beginning with more from the group dancing on the pier.If you want to see the version that we are all familiar with, go to the [Making The Videos] section, and enter the time value T: /4/ 29:14 on your remote, and it will take you straight to the as-aired version. You will notice that the picture is not as sharp, but it's the difference between DVD, and the LaserDisc or SuperVHS that was sent to the TV networks originally. It's not that big a difference, but you do notice it. ...
