It was good while it lasted..........2007-06-25

I bought this for my boyfriend because I'm a college student with only so much money. We found it to be a good camera for the price... quality pictures, good battery life, easy to handle, etc etc. Unless you're a photographer, for$56 this is an exceptional camera that gives you just about everything a camer costing $200 would.
But that was before it broke in less than 2 months while sitting on the shelf on its own. The screen simply leaked and that was that... I realize now that I made the mistake of buying a piece of electronic that's not Japanese. I know Canon PowerShot SD1000 is more expensive, but whatever the price this camera felt flimsy to begin with while my PowerShot always gave me the feeling that I'm holding a chunk of solid metal.

i bought this camera thinking hey pictures too. i bought the docket to. now don't get me wrong i love kodak cameras but this one is terible the software messed my computer up but i gave it 2 stars because it does take good pictures but next time i buy a kodak it is going to be with out a docket they are to much trouble.i love kodak but this one has been a night mare. in process of sending it back. i am sure i just got a bad one because i have had them before but i would not buy this one. just my opinion. but i will get another one because of all the cameras kodak is the best for me just not this one i tend to spend a little more but hey they are worth it.

Camera is fine, the camera dock is not the greatest........2007-06-01

I liked the price of the set and having the ability to print pictures with the printer dock is a good idea but I am having problems with the film cartridges not matching up with the number of photo cards that come in the set plus I am also having problems with the photo cards not feeding in to the printer correctly. You may want to buy the 160 photo cards set as the cost per picture is a lot less than the 40 or 80 card bundles.

I bought this camera for my girlfriend and so far no complaints. It works well and prints easily. She's not the sharpest tool in the shed, but she works it with ease.
The only downfalls, is the limited internal memory, and the ink cartridge it comes with doesn't print many pics. Buy a scandisk and extra ink and it'll be great.

best camera/not software.......2007-04-12

I bought the C-533 version along with the printer dock 3, and I love this outfit! Small, lightweight, and takes great pictures! My only two complaints, number one; the cartridge/paper kits are hard to come by locally, and when I can find them, they are outragiously high in price. Number two; I run an older windows 98 computer, and the software for windows 98 was not incuded. I had to download it, and after the download, it is complicated to set up, and had to contact tech support to find the name of a hidden driver file so I could locate it and install it. I do realize that windows 98 is becoming the system of the past, but there are many of these systems still out there.

One year warranty warning, not enough.......2007-01-03

After getting this camera as a gift last Xmas(2005) i was pleased with the features and picture quality. However, when attempting to use it this Xmas (2006) i was greatly upset when it would not turn on at all. It works in the docking station only and a new battery does not fix it. I had only used it about 4 times in that first year and when contactin Kodak about a obvious defect, they blew me off and said it was out of it's one year warranty and all i could do was trade it in and buy a referbished lower end camera for about as much as i paid for this one. I am no longer a Kodak customer due to this and their response to my inquires. This is not to disuade anyone from buying this product, just know about their warranty and how they deal with them before buying.

great camera.......2006-07-18

I love this camera! I already used the Kodak easyshare software, and there were zero glitches with updating my camera and dock. The short video clips I can take turn out well too. HOWEVER, I bought this camera thinking that video clips, while shorter, would be just like a video camera stream. Nope. Once you upload, it's clear the images aren't as high quality. When I was created a DVD and used video from my old camcorder files (which broke, hence getting this camera) and the files from this camera, well, there's no comparison. HOWEVER, the photos are awesome and perhaps all video files from digital cameras aren't as good as a real camcorder. Anyway, overall VERY happy with the camera.

Beautiful pics time after time.......2006-05-10

I absolutely love this camera. My previous camera was a Minolta SLR, which I also loved, and I swore I would never "go digital". I have three children (ages 7, 4, and 1) and I was going through at least 2 rolls of film/month... more if a special event occurred. Several photos on each roll wouldn't turn out, of course, and sometimes (at Christmas, for example) I'd waste an entire roll in one sitting, hoping to get JUST ONE photo where all three cherubs were looking in my direction. But I loved the beauty of the prints so much, and I thought a digital camera couldn't compare. Oh, how wrong I was! My parents got my husband & me the Kodak for Christmas, and I (sadly but truthfully) haven't touched the Minolta since. I have just as much fun playing with this camera as I did my SLR, turning off the flash and using natural light and changing the color setting to black/white or sepia. My prints are gorgeous, and the best part is knowing what I'm getting BEFORE I visit the photo lab. I also like the rechargeable dock, even if it is a little bulky to travel with. I would recommend this camera time and time again, especially to digital "rookies" like myself!
