ok for price.... .......2007-04-24

I bought this earlier this day, and i'm already disappointed. The software is fairly cheasy, even the best quality is very grainy, it chews up the battery, and it has the smallest amount of memory. 2 MB. Most keychain cameras have 8MB. I'm not even going to try it on low res mode, especially after i saw high res. It wont let me take video. and, there is no way to add memory (most can). I'm taking it back asap, and am going to by the better quality Vistaquest camera. I'm just happy i didn't buy the Digital Concepts camera, for it supposedly doesn't work at all.

I bought this camera thinking that it would be nice to have a little pocket-sized camera to carry around for spontaneous picture taking. I was expecting the photos to be low resolution and low quality considering the price and size of the camera. The quality of the photos was even worse than expected. They are so poor I can't imagine how you would be able to use them for any purpose. I also found that the battery life is too short and the image viewfinder doesn't match the actual image taken requiring you to mentally compensate. The worst offense, however, is that the software that comes with the unit is pathetic. There is also zero support for the camera on the Phillips web page. I recommend staying away from this camera.

I actually love this camera. For $15 it was a real steal.
Pros: Small, many modes, keychain, if you have it in school teachers think it is just a toy (rather than a prohibited camera), takes great nice pictures, adorable!! And very durable. (I was tossing it around, and dropped it on the concrete, it borke into peices, but is extremely easy to put back together and reuse.
Cons: If you take out the batteries it loses pictures, takes small pictures, easy to break (but easy to put back together)

The little peak hole is to look into from afar. If you put your eye up to it, it is blurry.

Well I got this today mailed. The thing is be careful when you cut open the package because otherwise you will break the software CD and that's exactly what happened to me. It is cool. There was a review rumor which said that the camera only held 20 pictures. That's right well sometimes. You can make high resolution and that gives you twenty photos. You can make it 81. The most is 243 pictures which is a lot. Although, the more pictures that can be stored. The worse the quality is. If you are going on a two week trip with no laptop or a place to load the photos to you should use the 81 photo setting. You can't go forever and only take 20 pictures. Just to be warned you are screwed without the software disc. [...] And in the search box type in " Photo2Album " You will then be able to download the program so you can connect with the camera. If you use a windows 98 or 2000 or XP or ME you are fine. If you use an apple that won't work with this camera. Linux or anything else doesn't work. It's so small!

What a piece of junk!.......2006-08-14

Thanks to a whopping misprint that should never have passed QC, half the pages of my "manual" are blank, and the Philips website does not seem to acknowledge the existence of this product. Nice. However, it is easy enough to get it all working. After which you soon discover that the camera is slightly better than nothing, but should really be a prize in a cereal box, not a product that you buy in a store.

Purchased as a gag gift, and at this price didn't expect much. I understand that the camera is actually supposed to work, but the instructions that came with this one were so brief and vague, we could never figure them out. Better instructions would have made it a better value I think. No complaints for the price.

I was so excited to find a product this cheap. At first, when it was just shipped, it worked fine, but then, an hour later, it breaks down and becomes completely useless. I read the customer reviews and find out everyone had a problem with it. This camera sucks! Do not buy it! Do not be tempted by its price! Navigate away from this page now and never come back!

We bought this for my Mother-In-Law, and we were shocked by what a piece of crap it is. For me to say that about a gift for my mother-in-law, you know it's bad.

While inexpensive...it becomes an irrelavent point when it simply does not work.

I purchased 2 for my daughters as stocking stuffers and we have tried repeatedly through all of the trouble shooting to get them to work with no success.

Driver for camera doesn't install--worthless.......2006-12-20

This camera looks real cute and I got it to have around for the times when you just want to be able to snap a quick photo. However, the camera software doesn't load the driver, so the camera is inoperable. I installed and uninstalled it time and again. I looked for updated drivers through Device Manager and the response I got was no driver was installed. Then I went online to look for a driver. I didn't find a camera software driver but I did find a whole bunch of people who have the identical problem.

It is good for 5-7 yrs old children. Do not expect "digital camera" like result. Children can take few shots. I do not know how to delete pictures to accomodate new one.

I bought these as stocking stuffers for my 8 and 10 year olds - they have had so much fun with them - they are small (think spy camera!!) and cute!

The pics are decent! I was surprised - they are not going to be print quality, but fun for sharing on the computer. They had fun with the video clip feature and the web cam feature!

It can slip in a pocket, purse or clip to your keychain. We have pink and blue versions!

Fun for around $15!!

I love my philips jr. because he's portable, cute, and easy in everyway. Each day at school I bring him along and take pictures of me and my friends. As soon as I get home, i download them onto the computer. It takes about 30 seconds, literally. And I'm not that fond of instructions or being patient. It works really well. In an instant my pics are up on the computer and I can print them and put them on my wall. Now, the quality of the pictures isn't WONDERFUL like a really exspensive camera. They're just really cute. They're not bad, I like them. A child's dream, at least for me. i don't think adults would be too pleased. Also, you gotta have could lighting. If you're taking a picture with little light, the picture will be black. But, over all I am so pleased with the product.
