Finecam S5 is the world's smallest, lightest digital camera with an effective resolution of 5 million pixels and an optical 3x zoom lens. Thanks to a CCD of 5.25 million pixels for the shooting element (1/1.8 square pixels, using a primary color filter), highly precise, beautiful color reproduction has been achieved. In addition, among other cameras with an effective resolution of 5 million pixels and an optical 3x zoom lens, this product is the world's smallest and lightest. The dimensions in millimeters are: 92 (width) x 57.5 (height) x 33 (depth), and the weight excluding batteries is approximately 165 grams.Equipped with a high-resolution optical 3x zoom lens to achieve more than 200 lines/mm at the center of the projection resolution, with a focal distance ranging from 7.3 mm in the Wide-angle mode to 21.9 mm in the Telephoto mode 3, the camera enables you to shoot high-quality pictures of landscapes, ceremonies and portraits, which resembles silver-salt films in image quality. The use of four non-spherical lenses enhances the cameras' performance and enables it to be more compact. Using the optical 3x zoom in conjunction with the digital 4x zoom enables you to shoot pictures with a magnification of 12x. Digital 2x zoom is possible during playback.

What a fantastic camera.......2003-06-05
Everything about this camera is fantastic and there is nothing gimicky. Most importantly you are getting a solid metal frame rather than plastic. The only hitch is the battery life but it would appear that a lot digital camera have this problem.
Truly, I don't know what else to say but you won't be disappointed.
