As mentioned in the other reviews, the photo quality is TERRIBLE. All the photos I've ever taken are blurry and the color balance is way off. It's a complete waste of money.

Dreadful Junk: Don't Waste Your Time.......2006-08-13

I decided to replace my failing Olympus digital camera in March 2006. I paid a lot for my Olympus back in the day, and within a year, it was obsolete in terms of memory, expandability, and megapixels. Took great pics for six out of seven years, though.

I went to an Office Depot and perused their cheaper cameras... and I decided to give this DXG model a try because it was loaded with stuff my Olympus didn't have. What a mistake. The camera was inexpensive, but it still ranks as my worst purchase this year.

The photos are TERRIBLE. Indoor shots are muddy and dark (the flash is a joke -- it's too bright and only works once per session). Outdoor photos are too bright even when you play with the exposure. And don't bother adjusting the "shutter speed" because it ranges from "super-slow" to "double-super-slow." If you take a picture of someone who's BREATHING, the photo will be blurry.

The two meaningful events I photographed with this camera (events I wanted to capture) were lost as a result of the DXG's problems.

Finally, last weekend I got so disgusted with this piece of trash that I went out and bought a Kodak EasyShare for roughly the same price I paid for the DXG... only this time, I made sure I test-drove the camera thoroughly. The difference between these two cameras is like night and day. The Kodak is loaded with all of the same features... except the features actually work well on the Kodak.

Now that I have the Kodak EasyShare, I enjoy taking digital pictures again... and since March, I've loathed snapping photos with the DXG because even when it looked like the photos would be OK, they all came out yucky when I loaded them to my computer.

Point is: you can buy a very usable, decent camera for the same low price as the DXG. Don't waste your time with this camera, because you'll regret it sooner rather than later.

Poor picture quality.......2006-07-11

The camera takes pictures so slowly that you can't take a picture of anything moving or it will just be a blur. The only good thing about this camera is it's direct print capability. Don't by this camera if you plan on taking pictures of anything other than something holding perfectly still.
