Fastastic And User Friendly Camera.......2007-03-15

Two years ago I bought my first digital camera which was a very expensive Olympus C-7000 Zoom and I loved it, but it was very technical for me. It took great pictures but I knew that I wasn't doing all that it was able to do. I am or was an amateur and it was my very first digital. I wasn't able to take my children's pictures very well. I missed a lot of cute moments with my Olympus. Then, my brother told me that I should get a Canon PowerShot because it had a pet/child setting on it. That did it right there. You see, I am an avid scrapbooker, and to me, I just gotta have great pictures of my kids. I have a little boy who is 4 and identical twin daughters who just turned 3. Well, I did a lot of searching, but kept coming back to this Canon SD600 Elph. Finally, after a week of searching and checking with other Amazon reviewers, I bought it. I ADORE IT!! It is one of the best things I have ever bought in my life. I also have a Canon Pixma IP6000, which I love, too!! I am soooo impressed, that I think that I will always buy Canon products from now on. I had the Canon Printer with my Olympus Digital, and it did wonderful things with my pictures. I have a Mac and use IPhoto, which is also awesome. My Canon Elph is fantastic and I would and will recommend this camera for anyone who takes lots of pictures of kids, pets, and still items. I use it for my ebay pictures, too. I am saving my other expensive--$750 camera--Olympus, just because some day I may want to use it, when the kids get older, and I read and understand that Digital Camera, better. I think I need to take a couple of classes to understand how to use it.
I am a true believer of my Canon PowerShot SD600 6MP Digital Elph Camera. Buy it and you will see!! Also, I was able to get the 1GB Deluxe Accessory Kit that came with it, and trust me, it is well worth the extra cost. This camera even has a video-recording doo-dad on it. Haven't really played with it yet, but I will. Thank you Amazon for all your amazing help and Reviewers. You are the best!!! Heck with Consumer Reports--that was the reason I bought the Olympus in the first place.

Great deal.......2007-02-09

I love this package!! For only about $70 more I got a mini tripod (which is essential for macro shots), a travel case, a 1 gig flash, an extra battery and more.

My only complaint is that I thought the battery was going to be an official canon one. I'm just wary because if for some reason this extra battery blows up in my camera my warranty with Canon is void. However, I have read reviews on the battery and all have said it's fine. Also, the 1 gig flash card is not very fast but it's great for a starter kit and for such a low price.

I definitely would recommend this to any person who is looking for a fully loaded kit to get them going. Not recommended for those that are super paranoid about brands.
