Viking flash cards are a high-performance storage solution that can be used in most laptops, PDAs, digital cameras, and network systems. They are superbly suited for portable applications because they are solid-state (no moving parts). This makes them 5 to 10 times more shock resistent than a normal rotating hard drive. Viking flash cards manage data blocks dynamically in order to maximize the life of the device they are installed in. An embedded EC function manages data to insure its reliability.
