There's no lengthy installation process and no need for a separate card reader. Lexar's Professional Series CompactFlash Card is designed to speed up image transfer times by taking advantage of a digital SLR camera's high-speed processor. In a non-WA-enabled camera, the card performs just like a standard 40x card.
Current camera partners supporting Write Acceleration Technology consist of: Kodak Professional, Nikon, Pentax, Olympus, Sanyo, and Sigma.
