Works fine, but size is off !!!.......2006-06-01

Got this for a Nokia 6230i it worked fine and was easily detected by the phone. However, it seems that the dimensions on this thing are a bit smaller than they should. The card fits, but with a bit of space left in the socket, so the card moves somtimes if the phone is shaken or dropped.

This causes the phone to no longer access the card until it is read adjusted into its place. I solved this by placing a small piece of masking tape above the card to keep it from moving.

Utterly Useless.......2005-06-24

I bought this card for use in my Nokia 6230 phone, only to find that this MMC card could not be accessed with my phone OR my computer. My computer and phone have absolutely no problems reading the 32Mb card that came with my phone. I thought that the first one i had ordered was just a fluke, only to find that the replacement card (which to Amazon's credit arrived promptly the same week) had almost the same problem-useless. Because of Amazons good customer service (so far,anyways)i will order a replacement MMC card made by a different manufacturer through them.

I bought one thes cards a few weeks ago and I'm glad I did. Not sure if they are high speed or not, it seems like it is. Anyway, I recomend them highly.

How many pictures will it store? It is the most commonly asked question from digital camera enthusiast but usually the question that is the most difficult to get a straight answer about. Well, considering I worked in the memory industry for over 7 years I can help clarify this perplexing question and do so unbiased as I have since changed industries.

The EP Memory 256MB MultiMedia MMC Card - EPMM/256, like most 256MB cards, will store on average 284 pictures when used with a 2 megapixel camera, 213 images when used with a 3 megapixel camera, 128 pictures when used with a 4 megapixel camera, 102 images when used with a 5 megapixel camera, and 80 pictures when used with a 6 megapixel camera. These numbers are based off the assumption that you are going to shoot your images at the highest quality JPEG setting available for the camera and understand that they are estimates and may be off by as much as 10 percent due to numerous factors including the complexity of the scene being shot and the compression algorithm used by your specific camera.

I truly hope this review was helpful to you in determining whether this card is the right capacity for your specific needs.
