This is a great memory card. I've had it over a year and have taken a lot of photos with it. I haven't had any problems with it. It works great with my memory card reader.

Works okay.......2004-04-26

I've had this card for about 1 year, and it still works fine in my Kodak DX4330 camera -- which I've used a lot. 99% of the time I haven't had a problem with this card. Also, SanDisk phone support is excellent!

However, make sure that you can "review" a photo after taking it ... otherwise it means that something has gone wrong and the file is corrupted. Also FYI -- "Unrecognized file format" means that you've run out of memory while recording a video, and the video is lost :( This card only allows 3-4 minutes of video, and if there are photos in the card then the video time allotment is even shorter.

Well, considering I worked in the memory industry for over 7 years I can help clarify this perplexing question and do so unbiased as I have since changed industries.

The Lexar Media CANADA ONLY 256MB SD CARD, like most 256MB cards, will store on average 284 pictures when used with a 2 megapixel camera, 213 images when used with a 3 megapixel camera, 128 pictures when used with a 4 megapixel camera, 102 images when used with a 5 megapixel camera, and 80 pictures when used with a 6 megapixel camera. These numbers are based off the assumption that you are going to shoot your images at the highest quality JPEG setting available for the camera and understand that they are estimates and may be off by as much as 10 percent due to numerous factors including the complexity of the scene being shot and the compression algorithm used by your specific camera.

compatibility problem.......2005-04-19

i've had this card for a while and have only recently encountered problems with it. i recently purchased a rca lyra rd1072 mp3 player with a sd expansion slot. while playing mp3's on the pqi sd card in the rca lyra the songs skip. i tried a sd card from another manufacturer in my rca lyra and had no problems. i also tried my pqi sd card in a different mp3 player and had no skipping problem.
