5 out of 5 stars Perfect for Room Parents!.......2007-04-23

I can't believe how much this little printer has changed my way of taking pictures. Signing up to be my little girl's Kindergarten room mother was an idea of lunacy. However, this printer has made it quite fun. I took 200 pictures of kids with Santa, and many parents who couldn't afford the big shopping mall expedition were tickled with their $2 picture that looked like it came out of a studio. I'm geared up to repeat this success for the Spring Festival. From 11am to 2pm, I know I can seat, shoot and print for 200 kids and everyone is happy. Even my 6 year old gets into the action and helps - it's that easy! I even went into her classroom for a class party, took pictures of kids in groups, printed them out and let them make fridge magnets to take home. I'm having a lot of fun thinking of the next activity with my Canon pair!

4 out of 5 stars A good printer.......2006-11-06

I use my printer as needed. Unlike the ink jet printers, the dye in this printer will never dry up. The picture quality is good enough in general. I wish the print size could be a little bit bigger than it is.

1 out of 5 stars Canon CP710 Printer.......2006-11-06

Will not recognize 99% of the photos stored on my hard drive including those taken with a Canon camera.
Will not work with iPhoto.
Customer service reps are zip help.
Configuring print options is definately not intuitive.

1 out of 5 stars selfish.......2006-11-04

The reviews of the Selphy 710 are great, but I found the printer to be ridiculously inflexible and very difficult to find supplies for. And, by the way, when Canon says that it prints "postcard" sized paper, what they really mean is that the unit prints postcards-- divided backs and a rectangle for a stamp included. No alternatives-- take it or leave it. So, the quality of the print may be great, but if you are looking for something other than a snapshot printer, look elsewhere. Or, perhaps you could set up a thriving business making postcards if you live in an area with a lot of tourism..... I sent mine back.

5 out of 5 stars Many new features make the CP710 a must.......2006-11-03

I've used the Canon CP330 for a couple of years now, and it's been great, but the new Selphy CP710 takes picture printing performance to the next level.

The 710 uses the same paper and ink cartridge system, but prints faster than the older model. It also adds a memory card reader, and an LCD display for picture selection and minor editing. Finally, it includes a retractable connecting cable that pulls out for connection to a PictBridge compatible Canon camera for direct print capability without fumbling with the memory card.

I'm very pleased with this litte printer, and will likely get the rechargeable battery pack that makes it truly portable.
