Another Bad One.......2007-04-04

I bought this about two years ago, but only for a travel printer. It started getting daily use about a year ago when my wife started using it.
No problem with print quality, but it's now unusable as it continually paper jams due to the rollers pulling the paper thru at an odd angle. The troubleshooting fixes in the manual didn't fix it. It's now junk. I have never gotten such poor usage out of a printer. Also own an i950 and I can't say I'm particularly happy with that printer....uses a ton of color ink, even when set at grayscale. Now why would it use color ink when it's set for b/w only? Go figure.

Vendor is out of its mind.......2007-01-28

This vendor is loony if they think someone will pay $230 for this printer. When it first came out it was about $60. I contacted them about this, but they did not reply.

Awesome Printer.......2006-12-08

This printer is wokring perfect, for one year I have had no problems. Although I dont print a whole lot but still works fine. The photo quality is great. Cheap ink, quiet, easy software, everything you need for a side or small jobs.

Canon does it again.......2005-09-30

I feel bad for the people that didn't have a good experience with their printer. I cannot speak for the reliabilty across a number of printers but I can vouch for how great mine is.

I love my printer. I have an Epson C80 and several C60's at work. My C80 never really worked right. Let me tell you, Epson = Head cleaning. Seriously I have worked with 5 total Epson printers throughout the past 2 years and all I do is clean the heads of each one of them. And a lot of the times that doesn't do anything. I've gotten really good at cleaning twice in a row before testing to see if it did anything. Oh, and in case you didn't know, clean = wasted ink.

So back to my i350. I like the fact that the printer cartridges cheap (albeit smaller) but I print every once in awhile and don't notice much. I do notice not having to shell out $35 for a cartridge and I know I don't replace the Canon's 3 times faster.

As for print quality, I've had to clean the head on mine once since I've owned it. That alone is worth justifying payment for this printer. I mean, can you honestly say that about your Epson ever? I don't think so. I mean the whole reason why I even wrote this review is because I just printed out a pic on glossy paper and it came out perfect.

If you get a good i350 it will be awesome for the quality and for the value.

Print heads fail.......2005-05-15

I have both the i250 and the i350. The i250 print head failed after 3 months of use (blank lines in the middle of words), but was still under warranty, so I managed to persuade Canon to send me a new print head. BTW, the print head costs about $45 to $50... almost the same as cost of the printer. Next, I upgraded to the i350. This time, the print head took 8 months to fail...same problem. I regard these as disposable printers, nothing more. They work great until the print heads fail.
