With the Compaq A3000, you can print documents with up to 2400 x 1200 dpi resolution at speeds up to 15 pages per minute in black and 7ppm in color. For copying, you can execute project features from the front control panel, including auto fit to page and to standard photo sizes with and poster and mirror effects. Clone two, four, or nine images per page; create n-up, booklet, and watermark pages. You can scan up to 600 x 1200 dpi in 48-bit color using quality CCD technology. Scan-to-fax, scan-to-email, and scan-to-application software is included. The A3000 supports Windows 98, 2000, Me, and XP. It can simultaneously print and scan using internal JBIG compression. It boasts 16 MB internal memory, scan to PC fax mode, and support for peer-to-peer network printing.

This machine compatible not only with XP,but with the latest one( 2003 server),if you get problem with it,just make sure slowly follow the instruction of the cd driver,then you will get them all.

Excellent Scaner/Printer/Copier.......2003-09-28

My Family enjoys the speed and versatility of the A3000. I see other customers have complained about the scanner, but I has been a life saver for us. It can scan textbook pages as images or into Character recognition software for easy implementation into Word processors. Scanned images are saved to a folder you specify as jpeg format images. (You do have to run the A3000 utlity or ABBY when scanning - others may not have known this).
It prints faster and quieter than our HP890 inkjet. It takes Lexmark ink cartridges, which are widely available. The A3000 footprint is small and fits on a roller shelf under my desk. HP does have a download site for the driver, but has limited support since they bought Compaq and the printer doesnt use HP cartridges. But this was a well designed product and after nearly 2 years of service we use it almost daily and it still works and acts like new.

Scanner Compaq A3000 all in one.......2003-03-12

I bought this Compaq A3000 at a local store and ever since I got it the printer and copier work fine but the scanner does not work and hasn't work since I got it. I think they gave me the wrong disk for it. I have a new Compaq Presario 6000 Windows XP. Could please advise me what to do to get this to work. I have emailed and called the Compaq Service and still do not get it to work.

All I have to say is that I have Windows XP and with the drivers from the Compaq website, the A3000 works like a charm.

Ive had 2 o fthese. The drivers for XP dont work. DOnt waste your time.
