The Color LaserJet 4500DN is a network-ready color laser printer for workgroup printing applications. This versatile laser printer prints in color and monochrome, has a Fast Ethernet 10/100Base-TX print server, and is JetSend-enabled for receiving compressed electronic documents. Add optional memory upgrades, auto duplex kit, larger paper tray, and other network connection options and the 4500DN is ready to take care of growing print demands.A 133MHz processor powers the printer's yield of full-color prints at 4 ppm and crisp monochrome at 16 ppm, at 600 dpi resolution. HP ColorSmart II technology automatically provides the best color settings for consistent color results. This printer uses one each of black, cyan, magenta and yellow toner cartridges. Use a variety of media up to legal size with the Color LaserJet 4500DN including transparencies, specialty papers, envelopes and labels. Standard 150-sheet and 250-sheet input trays provide up to 400 sheets of paper at the ready. An optional 500-sheet tray is available, and two-sided printing capability can be added with the optional auto duplex kit. The Color LaserJet 4500DN uses a parallel port interface (cable included). It comes with a JetDirect EIO card for Fast Ethernet 10/100Base-TX and has an open EIO slot for other optional HP JetDirect internal print servers for Ethernet and Token Ring networks. The 4500DN supports HP PCL 5C and PostScript Level 2 emulation, with 135 TrueType scalable typefaces.
