This printer is bombproof. I have printed well over the stated 3000 pages on the included print cartrige over the course of the past 2 years with absolutely no issues. The Honda Accord of laser printers. Have yet to even open the spare print cartridge that was purchised at the same time as the printer. Never had so much as a hickup with the machine, I can recomend this unit to anyone ( and have , when ever given the chance ). People have said that it is noisy, I would suggest that they investigate switching to decaf. It is a printer, they make some mechanical sounds when they do what they do but calling it noisy is simply an overstatement. Get yourself one and start saving money today. Eliminate the hastle of the ink jet mafia.

Bought this 2 years ago for under $100. I suppose I got my money's worth, but about a month ago it quit feeding paper. You have to push it to load the paper otherwise you get a fault light. That coupled with VERY loud cooling fan makes this a fairly undersirable printer. I thought the text quality was good, but it has too many drawbacks to recommend it.

It is bad enough that this printer is extremely tempermental, finding a toner cartridge is next to impossible. Keep plenty on hand since the chances of finding one at your local office store is slim.

If you are looking for a quality printer at an affordable price with incredible customer support - buy this printer. I originally purchased a Minolta-QMS 1100 printer, the predecessor to this one. I burned through ream after ream of paper over the course of two years and I was still using the original toner cartridge. Then I upgraded to an XP computer and found that the 1100 would not work with XP. I knew the printer was out of warranty but I contacted Minolta to see if they had any upgrade offers. Instead Minolta offered to replace my old printer with a new 1250w and pay shipping both ways. I just had to switch my toner cartridge from the 1100 to the 1250w.

I have now had the 1250w for about six months. I am still using the same cartridge. The printing is clean and sharp and the pages come out faster than any inkjet I have ever seen. I have saved the cost of this printer in ink-jet cartridges. Both printers have been virtually trouble free. I have been extremely happy with my purchase and would by another Minolta lazer in a heartbeat.
