The TravelMate 630 series is Acer's response to professional users in small, medium and large corporations looking for desktop functionality, security, everywhere connectivity and advanced modularity in a high quality design notebook PC. Equipped with the powerful Mobile Intel Pentium 4 Processor-M, a bright and wide-viewing 14,1" or 15" TFT display with DualView support, system memory of up to 1GB, and up to 30GB hard disk storage capacity, the TravelMate 630 meets the requirements of demanding business applications, resource demanding mainframe/client front-end applications and multimedia presentations. For maximum flexibility, the Acer MediaBay enables the incorporation of optical, hard disk, or floppy disk drive while an external USB floppy drive allows the simultaneous use of hard disk, optical and floppy drives as and when the need arises.A desktop replacement notebook like the TravelMate 630 stands out both in the office and while on the move. To withstand the rigors and hazards that come with out-bound applications, the TravelMate 630 has been especially designed not only to survive harsh treatment, but also to secure all the vital data and information it carries. Built with aluminum back panel as well as fiberglass chassis enforcements, and equipped with Acer's Disk Anti-Shock Protection (DASP), this notebook series has undergone extensive quality tests to ensure its reliability at all times. For enhanced security, an integrated SmartCard solution provides pre-boot authentication, data access protection, data encryption, and "coffee break" protection at operating system level.
