I'll admit I'm a huge fan of Macs. However, I had to price a system for my grandfather last year and he wanted Windows. Since I'm not a fan of Dell, Compaq, or HP, I decided on a Big Blue.

Coupled with an IBM ThinkVsion 17" LCD, this machine is simply the best Windows machine on the market. Popular? No. Great? Yes. I've played around on enough Compaqs and Dells made in 2004 to know that this IBM has the most refined feel of any of them.

If you're a PC shopper do yourself a favor and buy the Acura of Windows computers. If you do get the package deal make sure you get a CD-RW drive to replace a CD-ROM...with files increasing in size every year you need one.
