This is not worth the money. Please do not buy this just to be disappointed. It does not go on smoothly no matter what you do. Spend a little extra money and buy the hard anti glare products the sit over the screen.

Air bubbles.......2006-08-24

Well, i may not have applied this product correctly, but it sure isn't easy to do so, and no matter how hard you try your'e sure to get air bubbles and invisble fibres stuck under the film. The instructions are not as easy and I get alot of contrast now. I also found out after buying this that there are other similar products that can get you more sheets for less.
I wouldnt buy this if you expect to get a non-existent affect of the film for your screen.

It's ok if you want a simple 15" tv with a few extra inputs.......2007-04-15

The monitor works well, the picture is good, I've had it maybe 6+ months and bought it for the office. I hooked it up to a cable and did a quick scan and it worked.. BUT when i tried to connect it to a HD ant, I found that it wouldn't pick up HD without an external tuner. This is the reason for the 3-Star rating - to me any 'monitor' that requires an external HD tuner, isn't HD. For me this is nothing more than a flat panel monitor with a standard tuner and few extra connections (something you can find at any computer store). I probably should give it a high rating since I haven't had a problem with it along with the fact that it only cost me about $100 (refurbished).

Hmmm, what did I miss?.......2007-01-16

Maybe with time this will work itself out...but right now, I can't seem to get the darn thing to work well. Granted I live in a place where there is no cable; granted the instructions are written so small I can hardly read them. I'm not finding it easy to get this TV to work well! It's difficult to even get the color right when I'm watching a DVD... Oh well, maybe I'll edit this in a few weeks. I'm a little disappointed...

Television Not Advertised as Refurbished.......2007-01-15

I received my Magnavox 15" LCD screen television and gave it as a gift to my spouse for Christmas. I installed two days after Christmas and my spouse noticed a spot on the screen. I called the online store I purchased from through Amazon and they were very pleasent. They would issue an RA for the television to go back. I had already disposed of the packaging and I expressed concern for shipping the item back as I did not have the original shipping container. I asked if they could just send me a new Television, charge my card and I could then send the old TV in the shipping container of the new TV. They would not do this. I am stuck with the old TV and the Pixel dot on the screen due to this fact. As a customer, I am dissatisfied due to the fact the online store would not work with me even though I was willing to charge a second television on my card so I would have the proper shipping container to send the old TV back.

Perfect little TV for my office.......2007-01-06

I received it as a Christmas gift and I'm thrilled with it. I took it out of the box, hooked it up to basic cable service, programed the remote control using the on-screen guide, and I was watching my favorite cable news shows in less than 20 minutes.

I've had no problems whatsoever with sound or picture. Be realistic in your expectations. If you want a home theater with surround sound and big screen HD-quality, well then, go out and spend $5,000. If what you want is a simple little home office TV to catch the news, weather, sports and maybe a favorite prime-time show while working in your office, this 15" TV is ideal. Don't listen to the whiners.

Ive had this TV/Monitor for about 2 years now and it is awesome! I havent had any problems with the picture and I can hook up everything to it! I have my PC, Xbox, Sega Dreamcast, Sega Saturn, Sega Genisis, N64, SNES, NES, and DVD/VCR hooked up to it. thats the best to not have to have alot of different tv's or have to unplug and replug all my stuff. The only things that you could complain about are that the remote is crap but hey get a universal and the sound isnt very good but I use a surround sound system anyways and dont use those speakers so that works great for me!

I ordered this from the Philips Outlet website in mid-December 2006 and received the refurbished TV on 12/23. I plugged it in and the sound stopped working after about 20 minutes of operation. If I turned it off and let it cool, thenturned it on again, the same thing would happen after 20 min.

Called customer support and got a RMA to return it to their service center in Siloam Springs, AR. I got a replacement shipped to me on 1/17/2007. Opened it and found that this unit had the wrong manual and remote control for a different model packaged with it. The TV works with on-board controls but the (wrong) remote control doesn't function with it. Called Magnavox support at 800-705-2000 today and was told it was under warranty but there aren't any remotes available to send me, and to try calling back in a few weeks to see if any are available. I guess I should consider myself lucky the TV itself works, huh?

It certainly looks like a good TV, but I opened mine, turned it on, and discovered a burnt green pixel on the top left of the screen. In other words, it's a piece of junk and I'm trying to get a refund.

Remanufactored but the price was right........2005-11-07

Purchased this Tv for a bedroom to hang on the wall. Since the price of these TV's will go down in the near future I didn't want to invest a lot of money in one but wanted a good picture also. I am pleased with what I received. None of the preset color set's looked very good so I had to adjust the color standards to my own preffence and now the picture looks OK. This isn't the top of the line Tv so I am pleased and feel I got my money's worth.

It arrived with NO set-up instruction other than a CD that was so confusing even my expertise could not comprehend.

I spent hours on the phone with Samsung techs but never got a decent picture only to discover that the picture loses a great deal of brightness when viewed other than straight on. Side view might be OK but the slightest deviation up or down is a disaster. Also note that several of the controls on the remote don't work. Also note that the remote control arrived without a battery and NO ONE including Samsung could determine what battery it was supposed to be....

I wasted 2 days trying to make this puppy work. Dont waste YOUR time.

Don't make the same mistake I did! I signed up for one of those get-Samsung-LCD TV-free "offers" that are continually being posted here.

Within one day, I received over 200 spam emails and 15 telemarketing calls. What a pain. I guess there really is something to the saying "you can't get something for nothing".

I hope everybody here will learn from my extremely bad experience and avoid these ridiculous pyramid schemes.

Great for car and using with Xbox, playstation game systems.......2005-01-13

I was looking for a 13 to 15" LCD screen to hook-up to my son's XBox gaming system for traveling in the car. Now they can play XBox games, and, along with the XBox-DVD-player/remote the kids can also watch DVD movies. Compared to other automotive solutions that are sold for DVD movie/gaming combinations .... I think that this just might be the ultimate solution. I plan to "securely hang" the Samsung SyncMaster 510MP 15" LCD Monitor between and behind the 2 front seats of my minivan. They'll be able to play dual or split-screen type of video games such as Halo. Watching movies from the 3rd row of seats will also be possible. Basically the Samsung SyncMaster 510MP 15" LCD Monitor is plug and play for hooking up to the XBox or Playstation; just plug the video/audio inputs - yellow, red and white into the matching female holes in the SyncMaster 510MP. Nothing else is required other than having a "power converter" to plug-in the monitor and the game system.
