great monitor.......2007-06-05

i had a dell monitor 17 inch bulky monitor. crt tube. Saw this one at staples and jumped on it. Unit is awesome. very easy to hook up. Only 2 things im a little mad about but nothing major. The speakers are weak. if u have a 2.1 system with a sub woofer connected and u add the monitor speakers for say rear sound the 2.1 over powers the monitor speakers. the other downside of the monitor is the viewing angle is just o.k. other than that the widescreen is nice. Light as a feather also. under 5 lbs

The Envision G19LWK was on sale at Staples (I usually make my electronic purchases from Amazon but I couldn't resist the price) a few weeks ago for $179...I hooked it up to one of my Dell computers which previously was using it's original 19 inch CRT...The Envision was easy to hook up and then I adjusted the resolution to the recommended 1440 X 900 pixels...what followed was a beautiful picture in a widescreen (great for movies) format...couldn't ask for more from a 19 inch, widescreen, LCD monitor...I highly recommend this product!

Beware of CompUSA.......2007-03-24

You are not getting the model that is displayed and described here, although the casing will look the same. You're actually getting the K92b, even though it comes in a box that says otherwise. Mine came with a very defective LCD, no speakers, no DVI, and a refusal by CompUSA to refund my money.

In spite of my informing them that their advertsing was fraudulent (and they are the ones that are responsible for the descriptions as a third party seller on Amazon), there is still no change, and they are selling this item the same way through other vendors. Enough said.

Good monitor. Inaccurate description........2007-01-06

I got this monitor from amazon for $189, which is the best price I have seen for a 19" wide LCD. For the price, this is a great monitor. I have found no dead pixels at all, and the resolution is great. I can't tell if the 5 ms response time is accurate, but I'm sure it is. The base is very sturdy and the controls are very good. Let me tell you now, there are no integrated speakers on this monitor, despite what the description says. Also, there is no DVI connection nor is there a DVI cord, despite what the description says. I just use a VGA cable, so I didn't need DVI, but if you do, you'll have to buy an adapter. My complaints with this monitor involve the brightness of the backlighting. It's just too bright. Even at Brightness 0, it's too bright. There isn't much apparent difference between Brightness 0 and Brightness 100. You can't adjust the backlighting. I like this monitor overall, and will keep it. Hopefully I'll get used to the brightness.

Great job to Amazon for a speedy delivery :) Bought on tues with free supersaver shipping and it arrived on thurs.

The screen is amazing. No dead pixels at all and it is bright. I haven't used the speakers because I have a sound system on my computer. Amazing price for a 19 inch that can actually watch movies without ghosting! It comes with both a DVI cord and a VGA cord. Top quality, and the base it metal with just black plastic on top of it. Very sturdy.

The LCD seduces you at first with a decent display, but components are cheap. The monitor died just when the one-year warranty expired. Sceptre has a growing reputation for marketing unreliable products. I would NOT recommend this product and will not buy Sceptre again.

A Good Value.......2004-11-03

Hard to beat the price for a monitor with this size and specs. But I wouldn't use it for games or graphics. 1280x1024 maximum resolution and .29 dpi is on the low end, although a contrast ratio of 700:1 is most impressive. The monitor is also very bright, even at its lowest setting. There's only a 1-yr. warranty on it, so there's a chance you might need to replace it after a year or buy an extended warranty from your retailer if available, the cost for which will then have to be weighed against the value of this monitor.
