I purchased the camera several months ago and have used it on a couple of trips. I am totally satisfied with the pictures I get from it. There is so many ways you can use it in the manual mode. It is very compact so you can take it anywhere and use it without drawing attention to yourself. Just turn off the flash, up your film speed a little and shoot in the continuous mode or use the auto film speed if you like. I get about two pictures every second. The large viewfinder makes very a pleasant review of the pictures later and you can delete the one you don't want to keep. There is so much to this camera... I suggest browsing the owners manual, play with the camera and then read the manual. Take lots of pictures and get ready for that one shot that makes it all worth while.

The biggest complain will be the location of zoom controller. My hands and figures are normal size but feel hard to use and easy to make mistake.
I've had an Olympus camera (1.3 MP, those were good ol' times), a Sony Cybershot (4.1 MP) and a Canon Powershot A520, but this one beats all of them and more.

The screen is great, it takes great photos and the autofocus comes very handy (especially for us lazy guys who do not want to take manual pics).
The only drawback this camera has, and this is a negative feature for all Canon cameras (Canon, can you hear me?), is that it doesn't show battery status but only when it is almost done with batteries. I guess you can live with that (I've had), but it would be nice to have a battery meter so I know what to expect.
I give the camera a high note. It has everything for a person to take good pictures. The battery compartment door is a little cheap piece of plastic and the 16 Picture memory card is a joke. A full sized memory card would make much more sense and make a complet package.

I LOVE this camera. I can't stop playing with it. I will say though that it'll take a while for a novice to learn exactly how to maximize a shot with all the different features. I'm not a fan of reading manuals either. but it looks great and does a fabulous job. I would highly recommend it if you're looking for a little more than a point and shoot but not quite ready for the big guns.

The W810i follows a long tradition of beautifully designed and crafted phones from Sony Ericsson. The same candy-bar style that graced the W800 is here, as is the horizontally-oriented camera unit on the back of the phone, allowing you to hold the phone just as you would a camera when you're taking pictures. The W810i's screen sports 176 x 220 pixel resolution with support for 262,000 colors. Quick access buttons below the screen make it easy to control the phone's Walkman music features, while a five-way center button controls most of the phone's menus and features.The W810i contains 20 MB of embedded memory, but as mentioned, a Memory Stick Duo slot is provided, and it also supports Pro Duo cards, giving you storage capacities of 2 GB and beyond. Not being a fan of Sony (mostly due to proprietary format approach and not-deserved high price in many cases), I only buy two Sony products: near-pro audio headphone (adequate/inexpensive) and mobile phone (brilliant).
In the past 10 years, Sony Ericsson phone has become my favorite gradually. As a business user, I do value talk time and connectivity a lot more than other add-on features such as camera or MP3 player (I have an iAudio x5 for music). A phone must be a phone first. Sony drew my attention 3 years ago because of the long talk time and free included connectivity. Most other brands at that time, Motorola or Samsung for example needed to buy either additional cables or software for the similar connectivity options. However, I do like W810i's camera (legit quality) and FM radio.
Another bright spot is you can customize the four directional pads. I use them for: turn on/off Bluetooth, phone book, Text Messaging and FM Radio. My previous two Sony phones lack this feature.
The included headset cord and in-ear headset are great. It is very nice and allows me to plug in any stereo headphone with a standard plug. An overhead lightweight headset is much more comfortable than in-ear type or Bluetooth piece for prolonged conference call. The headset cord has a mic and a button to take/end a call.
The problem of touchy camera button is permanently fixed by new location and new design. This phone also includes USB cable which means you can easily/inexpensively unlock it.
To deal with the screen problem, I am considering getting Krusell Active Multidapt case from Amazon.com. Not ideal but may be the best option at this moment.
As to reception and talk quality, I have no complaint. I am living in the west side of Houston TX and travel coast-to-coast more than 50% of time. I believe most of static/talking quality and reception problems reported are caused by carrier in the particular area. In my case, it is Cingular/New ATT. When switched to Cingular from T-Mobile 1.5 years ago because of my company's contract deal, I noticed talking quality dropped immediately with the same phone (unlocked by T Mobile). Voice became patchy and coverage was worsened. Please be cautious with some user's comments. It may have nothing to do with the phone. That was my personal experience anyway.
Wish list:
1. Customizable time to lock the keypad
2. Included screen cleaning tissue (T610 had it) and/or screen protector film.
I bought this phone with a family plane from Cingular a month ago. Trust me, I really want to like it. Great camera, mp3 player, FM radio ... But I frequently got dropped calls even if it displays a full bar. I tried to set the "Preferred Service" to "GSM Only", but it doesn't work. My wife's Moto KRAZ never has such problem in the same area I lives. So I figured it must be the phone itself. It looks like the only choice is to replace another type.

I just got the w810i last week and so far its been the best cell phone I've ever had. It is smaller than I originally expected which was a very pleasant suprise. I got a 2 gig MS duo card and now have almost 4 hundred songs on it with room to spare(it can take up to 4 gig MS duo). The music quality is very good on this phone. The speaker could be a little louder but when playing through headphones it is good. I don't like how there isn't a headphone jack though, you have to plug a cord into the bottom of the phone and then the end of that cord has the headphone jack on it. It gets annoying and the cord becomes quite long. The camera is alright, i haven't sent any pics to a computer yet, but when just saving and viewing them on my phone they seem just ok for 2 MP, quality will probably look better on a comp though. This phone is loaded with features including bluetooth and infrared also you can set the alarm to only go off monday through friday or whichever days you choose. The battery life is also very impressive. I usually listen to music on it about 5 hours each day at work and use it pretty frequently for calls and it will last 3 days. Im sure it could last at least a week on standby.

A couple cons-
There is a cingular media connect button that will take you right to the internet. If you don't put the lock on the phone when it is in your pocket, you could easily rack up some unwanted data charges. Also I don't like how you are unable to see the length of your calls in your call log.
Overall it is a sweet phone loaded with features and has only a few negatives. Especially for being a free phone, I highly recommend it.
Vast upgrade from an early model Motorola V3 I had been using. Our area has a great signal and voice quality/strength is always strong, no dropped calls. I am hard of hearing and the position of the speaker is perfect, max volume is not needed as with the V3. In the past I have not been an iPod type user but now find myself daily using both the Walkman and FM radio (again, good signals in our area). Overall I am very happy with this phone+.

For the price a GREAT deal!
I know this looks like a good deal, but don't fool yourself, this phone isn't worth the trouble. The camera stopped working after the first month, as Amazon took 2 weeks to get the phone to me and the "new" AT&T doesn't let you get the insurance after the first month, I now have a phone with a broken camera.

AT&T's connection is terrible (with this phone at least). I have replaced the SIM chip to see if that would help, but it hasn't. My only next step is to get AT&T to send me a replacement phone ($$$) or end my contract with them and try someone else ($$$).
Oh, and your rebate comes in the form of a disposable Credit Card, not a check, so unless you are very good at your spending, you won't get every dollar's worth.

You can snap vivid photos (though no video) using the 2-megapixel camera on the back of the Curve, which also features a 5x digital zoom, built-in flash, self-portrait mirror and full screen viewfinder. I upgraded from a Blackberry 7105t to the Curve 8300. I love the new functionality and full keyboard. The only drawback is that my Plantronics headset with a 2.5 mm plug does not fit in the Blackberry's 3.5 mm plug.

My first time as a Blackberry user and I'm not disappointed -- this model is sleek, easy to use and fun! It does all I need it to do in terms of email functionality and as a cell phone. I have heard others complain of other blackberry models problems with attachment viewing or using it as a phone. This one does both and more! I can view attachments with ease and using it as my cell is very easy. Its slim design makes it look and act like a cell more so than other BB models.

The Blackberry 8300 represents everything that the 8700 was and was missing. The addition of the camera, flash, memory card slot and 4.2 OS make this blackberry the ultimate enterprise phone. It's an awesome phone.

While Blackberry hasn't always excelled when it comes to being a cell phone -- it evolved from a PDA into a cellphone -- it has consistently improved it's Voice capabilities. With the 8300, the phone capabilities have clearly caught up with other phones that "morphed" into PDAs. The voice reception and sound quality is very solid and with AT&Ts service, I rarely have dropped calls. (I originally was a cingular subscriber and when AT&T took over, I have not experienced any decrease in the level of service). You can use it without a headset which feels a bit clunky -- but when you lose bluetooth headsets at the rate I do, it is nice to know that when all else fails, it is very functional by itself.
As a PDA -- this is where Blackberry really outshines its competition. It is the most widely supported Enterprise-wide email. It integrates with Outlook which is pretty much a necessity if you live in the corporate world. Now with the addition of GPS, Blackberry solidify's it's desire to be a "grownup" phone/device.
To me, a PDA/Phone should help you get through your day. It should tell you where you need to be next. Help you get there. Tell people if you aren't going to be there. Keep in touch via email when you are there.
I don't need it to play music -- I've got my car stereo for that. I don't need it to take pictures. When I'm at work, there is very little I want to take pictures of -- certainly not my coworkers :-O. When I'm waiting in a doctors office -- the browser is adequate to kill some time though I generally plan ahead and bring an old-fashioned analog book -- you know the type -- the one with pages and real ink on it. If you have a notebook, this phone also makes a pretty handy wireless modem -- though it is rather slow. That way, you don't have to worry about where the nearest Starbucks is to connect to the internet.
So I guess it boils down to what do you want your phone to do. If you want it to be a phone and be straightforward to use, then Blackberry is the perfect device. It will keep you connected to home, office and places in between, Blackberry 8300 is what will serve you best.
I've had a number of PDA style phones and was never happy till I got this new BB 8300. Slim, light, excellent screen & battery life, very easy to use. Surprising picture quality from the built-in camera too. GPS and WiFi would make it perfect however.

Turntable.......2007-07-08
I was very intrigued to find out that I could copy my old lps onto CD. I have a ton of old albums that I just haven't been able to throw away. I thought I would start with a low-price turntable and if the whole idea was a waste of time I wouldn't be out a lot of money. I first hooked this turntable up to a laptop but since there wasn't a sound card I couldn't hear anything. The albums recorded, but there was no sound coming through the speakers. When I played the album back, it didn't sound good at all. I then plugged the turntable into my desktop which has a "line in" jack and the sounds came through the speakers beautifully!! (The cables are included, by the way.) I was very impressed with how well everything sounded. Unfortunately, I'm very dissatisfied with the Pyro software. I've worked as a computer programmer for over 20 years and I'm still trying to figure out how to do some things with this software. It's extremely unintuitive. Plus, when I applied the filter (which took over an hour to figure out) to remove the crackles and pops, it sounds like it's just lowering the volume. Not what I expected. My suggestion would be to buy the turntable, then shop for a better recording software package.

I recently bought a new computer system (Dell, running Vista) with an upscale sound card and 5-speaker system. I wondered if there was any way to connect my 40-year-old turntable (if it still worked) to the computer and digitize my collection of about 100 old vinyl LPs. I was searching online for an adapter cable (Radio Shack) that would convert the two RCA plugs to a single mini stereo plug to go into the sound card, and found this item. Various articles I then found on converting LPs to digital indicated that a pre-amp was usually needed, and this turntable had one.
The price on Amazon was reasonable, so I ordered one to try.
Okay, so the Cakewalk software isn't exactly "intuitive." But it offers lots of features and options, so you have to "play" with it a while to figure it all out.
I'm about half-way through my stack of LPs, enjoying listening to them as I record (digitize) the tracks, and saving the tracks as both .wav files and as mp3s. The digital output is clean and of high quality.
Since that's what I wanted when I ordered the turntable, I give it 5 stars.

The phone is reasonably good, assuming you don't mind it crashing once or twice per day. If you need to sync with Microsoft Outlook, however, you need to buy software separately for about $40. It will take an hour or so to download. After a couple of syncs, you will find that a lot of information has been lost on your computer. The phone, for example, cannot deal with a contact that has just a business name and no person's name. First the contacts show up as headless zombies on the phone. Then the company name gets wiped out from Outlook on your computer.

I am coming from a Razr and the Krazr is a great phone, no doubt. The size is the main attraction. Fits easily in your pocket without a bulky case. Screen is a bit small and the menus are slow. The quality also does not match the Razr, it is not as clear or toned. The micro SD card is a great feature and the mp3 player is huge. It also takes pretty good pictures. I would recommend this to anyone.

Unfortunately, the quality doesn't match up.
The messaging is screwy. It isn't very reliable. It doesn't always ring when someones calling even though you're in range.
Plus, I dropped it once and the front is cracked! I don't know about you, but i need a strong phone that can take a little beating.
Would NEVER get this phone again.
Not much to say except I love this phone... can't imagine how I got by without it.

This is my first "flip phone" and I still can't get the hang of opening this phone with one hand. It's always full of fingerprints which ruins the visual appeal of the glass face. I find that the keypad can't be done just by feel and the darn keypad backlight needs the keypad pushed to come back on but also when to push the mystery button it also tries to perform that function. Call quality is fine but doesn't do much else. Camera and ringtones are mediocre and no free games! Also kinda heavy but I do like the speakerphone.

I waited for this phone for a long time and finaly it came out. Just about everthing is greath with the phone all of the apps and features are great. The olny real downside is the battery life if nokia just fixes that problem then this phone will easly be a 5. Oh and one more thing, if you have sideburns WATCH OUT! Your hair will get caught between the internal display and the frame around it. I just order some screen protectors and hopefully that will close the gap.
Great Phone ......But................2007-06-27
I really had high hopes for this phone, but was ultimately disappointed. I have been a loyal Nokia guy for years and looked forward to my first smartphone. More than that I wanted a combo phone/music player and the N75 seemed to fit the bill. I was skeptical about going from candy bar to flip phone, but I figured so long as I could voice dial (you can) and answer (you can't) without opening the phone, that would be fine.

But, in the end, this phone failed because of shortcomings of the music player implementation and poor battery life. Sadly, I will be looking for another phone.
DESIGN:
Pros:
+ Gorgeous displays in and out.
+ Outside display seems to have all the right info (especially when using the music player).
+ Great number keypad with large keys and excellent tactile feel.
Cons:
+ Navigation keys are too flat. I often hit the wrong key sending myself off to distant parts of the OS or canceling out in the middle of a task. After a while I got this down and this complaint faded.
+ Battery cover held in place by hair trigger release. Cover often came off when I pulled the phone from my pocket
MENUS and O/S:
Pros:
+ Symbian 60 OS opens up a world of possibilities - more than I had a chance to really sample.
+ Highly customizable menus enabled through obtuse menu trees.

+ Can make calls with the cover closed using voice dialing.
Cons:
+ Can't answer the phone with the cover closed - soft keys are available to silence or decline the call, but not to answer on speakerphone. What a shame because I can do this on my wife's Nokia 6126 and this makes a flip phone much more convenient.
+ Easily paired up with bluetooth headset (but NOT stereo bluetooth)

Pros:
+ Take pictures with phone open or closed, includes a flash. Serviceable image management on the phone (delete, view, etc)
Cons:
+ Shutteer laaaag, mediocre image quality for 2 mp camera.
MUSIC PLAYER:
Pros:
+ Really nice music player app with great controls.
+ Sounds pretty good on phone's little speakers.
+ Controls on outside cover are great.

Cons (the dealbreakers for me):
+ NO STEREO BLUETOOTH - I know that this advertised on the web site, but it is a misprint as confirmed by calls to Cingular and Nokia. Nokia says the required A2DP profile will be available in a firmware update, but they won't tell you when.
+ No 3.5 mm headset jack. You have to deal with Nokia's proprietary POP port, which takes up 1/3 of the left side of the phone and requires an adapter to work a 3.5mm headset. The POP cord/adapter is difficult to insert correctly and is aptly named POP port because of how easily it pops out -- I have lots of Nokia experience here.
+ Nokia Music Manager 2.0 PC software for transferring music crashed often in XP and did not recognize memory on my phone (tried two different brands of sd cards) Thankfully the included Windows Media Player driver worked well and transfers went smoothly with both cards.
BATTERY LIFE: (more dealbreakers)
Very poor; phone gobbles power like a Hummer towing a tank. Combo of small battery and hungry O/S and displays kills batteries fast. I really couldn't get more than 1 ½ hrs of talk time a day out of this, and that's without a bluetooth headset. Yes, I followed all the web advice about setting data to "as needed" setting. If you really want to use this as a smart phone: email, web, PIM and phone, then you better carry spare batteries.
I had the N75 about two weeks and here is my report:

o I find the loose-fitting lid an irritant. Maybe other(')s don't.
o Mine doesn't make any funny internal sounds.
o Mine doesn't get hot.
o Mine doesn't drop calls.
o No stero bluetooth.
o Mine seems to do a good job of voice recognition.
o It bluetooths to my Moto H500 quickly, and the voice recognition works
fine there also.
o The surface does soak up finger prints.
o The display screens are spectacular.
o I like the large buttons on the key pad.
o Large screen, large buttons = large phone, I guess.
o The battery goes flat pretty fast (one day), but I'm constantly
playing with the phone. Maybe when the newness wears off, It'll
do better.
o The pop-port is a pain; also, they should have put it on the top
or bottom.
o Transferring pictures, music and application using the pop-port
is a breeze. It's quicker than screwing with the microSD.
o Speaker are loud enough.
o Being able to load different application is neat.
o The pictures seem plenty sharp for a 2 Mega-pixel. If you blow them
up, they become pixelated (see submitted pictures).
o I'm going to keep it and hope for a battery solution, or learn to
live with it.

OVERALL: Buy this phone if you're like me and like bigger phones with great music/media access. Buy the SOny Erricson W18i if you want a smaller phone with nearly the same function. Or wait for the iphone June 29th.

The first thing you should do when you get this phone is change the packet data from "when available" to "when needed".

This is done by going to settings-->config-->connection-->packet data
This will solve the battery complaints posted by others. I can get ~2.5 days on a single charge.
I have had 3 long weeks to use and abuse the features of this phone.
Size wise: If you have a problem putting this phone in your pocket, get some looser fitting pants. People are probably seeing more than your phone bulging if this is the case.
Buttons: The whole keypad is spacious including the D-pad. I have large hands and find the tactility of the buttons to be high and are very easy for texting. The keypad buttons even tilt a little and make it easy to slide your hand around during fast texting/e-mailing.
Camera: Not a strong point. In some situations there is a green tint to the photos. The camera works best outside in sunlight and will produce pictures acceptable for a 5x7 with no green tint.
Operating system: Strong point of this phone big time. The Symbian S60 OS is the most customizable OS I have ever seen. Honestly, if there is something you want to customize you can probably do it. It may take a few days to get used to Symbian S60 but after that you won't look back. The availability of 3rd party programs is endless. I recommend Smart2go & Handy Alarm. Don't tell AT&T but this is actually a smartphone and has all the PIM features you need. Syncs with Outlook much easier/faster than Activesync and Windows mobile. It is also very easy to setup your e-mail accounts on the phone.
Media features: A pop-port to 3.5 or 2.5mm headphone jack is available online for $5-8, or Nokia's version for a bit more. It is worth the investment because the media player + a 2gb MicroSD has replaced my iPod nano. AT&T left Nokia's Music player on the phone and it is the best phone media player I have ever used. The built in speakers are loud, I mean insanely loud. I can turn it to 11 and it will drown out the TV and hurt my ears from 5 feet away. Once adjusting the EQ the sound quality improves. They are slighty tinny but not as bad as you expect.
Screens: Both screens are amazing. The inside screen is very crisp and does not wash out in direct sunlight. The outside is very functional and often times allows me to not flip open the phone for a lot of features.
Web: Use Nokia's web browser and not the Media Net one. It is a full feature browser and displays webpages just like a computer. It does not go to the mobile phone web but the actual web. Very amazing and far superior to Mobile IE.
Call Quality: Very clear and have yet to drop a call. I found myself calling people just to hear the call quality the first few days. I couldn't believe the clarity. Speakerphone is very loud via those little speakers on the back.
I would recommend this phone for anyone looking for a phone with some PDA functionality. The multimedia features just add to the functionality of the Symbian OS.
Every phone has its flaws and I find this phone to possess very few after fixing the battery issue and customizing it a bit.

Additionally, the notion of incurring a 250$ fee for practically anything makes it an unwise purchase imho. Cannot upgrade or downgrade, or pay a day late......Spend the money on the phone now, or, spend it later when incurring the fee penalty fee.
I recently purchased this device from Amazon at a price of $199 (w/ 2-yr contract). This phone is very delicate and will not function after only minor contact with minimal moisture. This is apparently a known issue.
Do Not Buy This Here!!!.......2007-07-03
So, two months into a 2-yr contract, I need to replace this device. Amazon lists it today @ $124. However, if you need to buy a replacement, Amazon regards it as an "upgrade." Their only option offered was to buy an unlocked version from them for $750! I cannot buy the $124 version unless I set up a whole new service separate from what I just bought two months ago.
AT&T will not touch this since they didn't sell it. They offer a replacement for their full retail price -- $600!
So, if you buy from Amazon, you better lock this thing up in a moisture-proof safe and hope for the best. They'll be no help at all if you ever need a replacement within that 2-yr timeframe.
So, I'm out the original purchase price. I was so upset with AT&T I cancelled my service ($175 fee). Now I'll be getting back-billed by Amazon for $250 for not completing six months of service (but how could I with a broken device and no reasonable option to buy a replacement?). And I still need a new PDA!
I so loved this device, and then to get it at an outandingly great price was even better! The only drawback was that it was apparently on backorder when I purchased it, so the expected delivery date was over a month away. I complained a little along with others and the date was shifted to just over 1 week or so. Overall great procuct!
Frigid Awesome!.......2007-06-27
I got the 8525 six months ago. It's good, and I'm happy I got it. Having said that. It's expensive, or was. It needs to be rebooted several times a week - seems to freeze on me every other day (the cingular store said, yeah that happens). Works well as a phone, though it is a pain to dial numbers by hand, the keypad is virtual (not sure what you do when you have to dial 911 in a hurry).

The Internet access has been great. We don't get 3G much in DC, and oddly get it more in out of the way places like the Chicago burbs, but even without 3g I've liked the speed of the access. I've used my phone a LOT as a modem for my Mac powerbook laptop and it works great - quite fast in fact. Having said that, you need to scour the Internet for instructions on how to connect the two, but you can find it and eventually it works.
As for the keyboard, I was a bit duped thinking the keyboard would permit me to type like a normal full sized keyboard. I type fast, like 90 words a minute, and I still have to type with two fingers on this keyboard, it's just the way it is. I find that my friends with blackberrys and treos tend to go from zero to 60, in terms of picking up their toys and doing a web search, quicker than me.
Don't get me wrong, it works well, and the wow factor is nice - people admire the phone. Also, I had to cajole Cingular/ATT into unlocking the phone for me - they refused at the store, but the nice lady on the phone did it for free when I called from Europe and begged. I bought a French SIM card and it worked great in the phone.
You'll hear varying stories on whether ATT can still charge you for accessing free wifi in Europe while still having your American SIM card in the phone. My tech friends say this is impossible. But Cingular claims it's true, as did the helpful lady on the phone who actually seemed to know her tech stuff. To be safe, remove the American SIm card if you're abroad and surfing the net with this thing - oh yeah, it really does work with foreign wifi, even without the sim card. Pretty cool.
Oh one more thing, as with many phones, I find the volume is just too low during calls. It's especially a problem when I download movies or tv shows from my computer (I use a PSP video 9 to shrink the movies and shows to the right size, then just sync the computer with the phone - for Mac users, you have to use Missing Sync and it doesn't always work, it's kind of weird, sometimes it syncs sometimes it doesn't). Anyway, yes you can watch tv shows and stuff on here, but the volume is very low and when sitting on a plan, forget it - I could not hear my shows using the headsets. I'm going to buy an adaptor so I can try different headsets on this. Oh yeah, buy an extra storage card, I got like 2 gigs for 50 bucks or something, it's worth it. I'd read the 4 gig cards weren't working as well with this phone, maybe that's fixed now. I think that's it.
Slingbox IS compatible with this phone, and it's cool as hell, I have it, and it works - but again, the volume issue if you're anywhere even vaguely loud (having said that, i was on jury duty and sitting in the courthouse in a crowded room and could hear my shows fine through the cheap earphones). So, all in all, I'm satisfied, it's cool, it works. I've never owned another smartphone or treo or anything, so have nothing to compare to. I'll consider switching to an iPhone in a year when that shakes out more. PS The size doesn't bother me, I have it in my pocket all the time, in jeans or a suit it's fine in your pants. In shorts, yeah it starts to get a bit big, but again, it's really not as large as it looks.
The camera sucks. It auto sharpens all the photos horribly - I've tried to stop it, you can't, it just does. REally really really bad photos - and I take photos for a living, but also take them for fun, you won't be using this phone for photography, trust me, it's bad. The video isn't bad however, I just don't have a reason to use it.
After reading many of the reviews, I was shocked that the 8525 was far better than I expected. I took the time to go through the online tutorial. In addition the DVD that was included was self explainatory. The battery life was better than I was led to believe, especially after the push to talk upgrade. You have more than one way to access info. i.e contacts, task, photos, etc. This is my first smartphone. I hope you enjoy this product as much as I do.

In the past, I've been happy with AT&T phones, but this phone is really poor quality. I have to dial a phone number three or four times before it actually connects (this does not happen on any other phones in my house), and there is quite a bit of static heard during calls. I bought a hands-free plug-in ear piece to go with this, and the connection is horrible - it cuts out all the time! In general, I am very disappointed with this product. Spend a little extra money and get a better phone!

This basic little cordless phone is just what we needed in a cordless phone. All of our previous cordless purchases were 3 to 4 times the cost of this durable AT&T basic model. We chose this unit based on C/R ratings and haven't been dissapointed. It gives clear calls and stands up to abuse well while still maintaining its simple, stylish appearance in our home. Why pay more for technology and features you rarely use anyway, unless you are a sucker for marketing ploys.

I got this phone as a Christmas gift this past Christmas, so it's been about all of 6 months now. It is a pretty good phone. The sound quality is good and I haven't had the battery die out once yet, but I am shopping around for another. For the past month or so, when I'm talking to someone on the phone, the sound will just cut out. The other person can hear me, but I can't hear them. I have to hit the antenna to try and get the sound to come back. It is really annoying. If it weren't for that problem, it would be a great phone. Maybe we just have a bad one, I don't know.

At .58 inches thick, the RAZR V3xx is virtually the same thickness as the original RAZR. And like the original RAZR, the phone's design takes the standard clamshell form factor to the next level with an impressive, fully-anodized aluminum construction, and 60 MB of internal memory. A large 240 x 320 color display with over 262,000 colors dominates the inside of the top cover, while the outside cover of the handset sports a supplementary 96 x 80 full-color display that can display caller ID pictures, time, call information, battery and signal strength, and more. The integrated VGA and 1.30-megapixel digital camera is housed above this display. Use the VGA camera for live two-way video calls at up to 15 frames per second. Up/down buttons are placed on the left side for volume control, as well as the camera button and mini-USB port.Most of the phone's features and on-screen menus are controlled by a five-way center button on the handset's backlit control pad, which is precision cut from a single sheet of nickel-plated copper alloy. A mini-USB port is provided, which, while useful for fast data transfer, can also be used with compatible USB stereo headsets. Note that the phone does not have a standard 2.5mm headset jack. I think the Motorola v3xx is a nice phone. It performs the basic functions of a phone pretty well which is to make and receive calls. I haven't explored the other features much. I've been using it for about a month and didn't find any problems with it. Reception and battery life are good.

I was talked into this phone when I almost used my old Motorola as a hockey puck when it "spontaneously died" along with 2 other Cingular customers who also had the Motorola V557- Our phones just powered off and would not power on, and we were all within a month of contract end and planning to go to Nextel. However, the phone has performed well. Battery life could be more like I was led to expect, but it is ok. It charges best if turned off, and the camera (not a critical accessory) is phenomenal, sometimes outperforming my wife's digital. However my carrier is still big disappointment.

I really had high hopes for this phone. Previously I had a cingular v3 for 2 years and couldn't have been happier with that phone. So, in looking for a new phone, naturally I went with the v3xx because of the 3g network, new screen, sd slot, and all the new features. Everything was great with the phone, screen is awesome, data transfer is quick, phone looks great, but I could not get over the most important thing in a phone: call quality.

Experienced terrible reception with this phone, numerous dropped calls, and being in downtown L.A., I'm not sure of the reason. I'm on my second unit and still experienced the same issues. Dropped calls + voice distortion to the point where i was asking people to repeat certain words several times a minute. I suspect it mostly occured when the phone was switching from 3G to Edge, or vice versa as I experienced the worst reception and call quality when I noticed the network icon switching back and forth. Needless to say, I'll be returing this to amazon, perhaps looking to another carrier and settling with edge network, instead of 3g. I see other people are completely happy with this phone, so I guess reception and phone quality greatly varies, and maybe my gripe is more with the network than the phone as everything else with the phone was excellent.
The phone's case on the back did not close properly...

I definitely like the phone for it's slender design and features. the only thing that gets me is getting used to actually using the phone. trying to make sense of call history, or to quickly access some of your items can be trying for someone who is not as tech savvy with cell phones. i enjoy the phone and it does what it supposed to do very well... make and receive calls!

clear audio quality, no dropped calls so far and a HUGE screen to see things. after reading the guide and sitting down with the phone for an hour or two and re-programming it,... it's a lot more user-friendly. it's as good as any other phone for text msgs.
good battery life and if looking for accessories, definitely look for a snug holster to avoid this phone from feeling loose in its case. You can also find good accessories at Radioshack.

That out of the way here is my review:
Good: Direct drive, straight forward arangement with wide arange of controlls, well put together (at least on initial inspection), good software package (with a variety of filters, corrections and features for copying, converting and burning).
Bad: Line out switch is under the platter and it has hard wired cables. Why couldn't they bulk head the connections and put the switch next to the connectors?
Unknown: My only attempt to convert vinyl to WAV sounded a little flat. It wasn't bad for a first attempt, and I'm sure with a little tweaking and familiarization with the software my results will improve. I am just not sold on the included ATP-2 stylus. I have ordered a different model with a lighter tracking pressure.
All in all I would definately recomend this item. Unless you spend ALOT more money I don't think you will get a better product. If you are picky about the sound or tracking pressure you may want to buy a different stylus.
I received and hooked up the new AT-PL120S turntable day after Father's day, it's for my father, his old Yamaha turntable finally give up after 20 years, it's straight forward typical setup, the owner manual doesn't help much on setting the the tone arm balance weight and the anti-skid setting, so I have to guess it. This turntable is HEAVY, Well made and have a very nice dust cover.

After listen to few of my dad's favorite LP, this is a worthy replacement. Surprisingly the typical LP pops, click, scratch sound almost gone, the line out level is perfect, it's great output level, the added features over the old one was the pilot light for the tone arm stylus, for under $200 plus free shipping make this turntable a very worthy purchase. I have not use the software yet, we have a Pioneer Elite CD recorder which can copy analog source. Bottom line this is a great unit, great price, solid built, easy to use, we will upgrade the cartridge and stylus later. Highly recommended.
I received and hooked up my new AT-PL120S turntable today, everything was very easy. When I picked up the box the first thing I noticed is that this baby is HEAVY and appears to be very well made from solid materials.

This unit is taking the place of my 30 year old Dual 506 belt drive turntable and so far it seems to be a worthy replacement. I use my turntables for listening to LP's, not for DJ purposes but this new turntable looks and performs like it could fit the bill no matter how you used it.
I have not yet used it to transfer LP's to my computer but I excited about the opportunity. All in all I am extremely happy with my Amazon.com purchase; the price was excellent and so is the turntable.
For less than $200 and free shipping the AT-PL120S turntable is a very worthy purchase.
This turntable is not more than you pay for. It is a cheap copy of the Technics sl1200. But it is what I need for listening to my few aging LPs.
