This innovative cordless telephone operates on the powerful 5.8 GHz frequency. Its classic design provides comfort and ease of use. Advanced features include adjustable sound settings, the ability to use up to six handsets, a speakerphones in the handset, and a duplex speakerphone in the base. (Duplex technology lets both parties talk and be heard simultaneously.)
The dual-band (5.8 GHz/2.4 GHz) design allows the base unit to transmit with more power in the 5.8 GHz frequency band or with greater efficiency at 2.4 GHz. The phone's true duplex transmission keeps the incoming and outgoing signals from interfering with each other.
The LCD on the handset provides caller ID/call waiting information (subscription required though your local phone company). The 5830 also provides talking caller ID, which announces the name or number of incoming callers.
The 5830's expandability, up to five additional handsets for a total of six, eliminates the need to hard-wire multiple extensions throughout your home. One phone jack and one power outlet is all you need to connect the 5830 base station and handset, while each additional model 5800 handset requires only a power outlet for its compact charger/cradle. Calls can be transferred from one handset to another.
The handset receiver lights up with incoming calls and can also be set to vibrate. It stores 50 names and numbers and works with your caller ID service to remember the last 50 callers. Sound Select lets you adjust bass, treble, and midrange to your liking. A spare-battery charging system enables the telephone to work even during a power outage. Choose from eight ringer melodies. The system is backed by a one-year warranty.

excellent camera.......2007-06-21
1- It isn't mentioned anywhere but this camera has a focus assist light
2- mpeg4 is the only missing feature on a camera of this caliber; It records video files in MJPEK format
Uneven performance.......2007-06-21
PS winner.......2007-06-19
Wide angle.
Both an LCD and a view-finder.
Image Stabilizer.
Small enough to go into my coat or pants pocket.
Canon quality optics.
Long battery life.
User friendly.
I would have given it a 5 point rating if Canon provided better quality doors for the battery compartment and the output cables. Same comment by many other reviewers. Hopefully canon will correct this in the next generation sd800. Just treat the camera as a precision instrument and you will have lots of fun taking pictures.
I have been using it for about two months and the pictures (in all modes) are magnificent.

Excellent Unit for Families with Fast-Moving Kids.......2007-06-18
I got this camera for my wife on mother's day. We had a Canon S60 that had seemed to get slower and slower in taking pictures for our 1 and 3 year olds. This camera got excellent reviews on speed. My wife also wanted something that would fit in her pocket.
The SD800IS delivers on everything we needed. It takes extremely fast pictures in all light conditions. The size of the unit is great to carry in your pocket without being too bulky.
The image stabilization really delivers. This is the first camera that I use the digital zoom on. With the IS circuity, I can shoot long-distance pictures on digital zoom with good clarity and no camera shake. It also allows me to show lower light with no flash.
All around, this is the best digital I've used.
We Love It!!!.......2007-06-17
Fast boot and quick lapse. Pictures are beautiful. Compact and lightweight. Easy to use.
A fun feature not found on comparable brands is the color swap.

Amazon.com Product Description
The Sony Ericsson W800 was a big hit. Now, here comes the sequel, the W810i. All the same great Walkman features are here, along with robust phone functions, but now you get quad-band GSM, a larger and brighter display, and perhaps most importantly, support for EDGE high speed data. In addition to a powerful and easy-to-use Walkman music player, the W810i boasts a 2-megapixel auto-focus camera with flash, a Memory Stick Duo card slot, Bluetooth, and a speakerphone. Simply put, this baby's loaded.
Big screen, big features, big fun. View an interactive demonstration of the w810. You can also check out the W810i video. |
Dedicated music control buttons make for easy listening. |
Transfer songs to your W810i with the included Disc2Phone software. |
Two megapixels of camera goodness. |
The W810i follows a long tradition of beautifully designed and crafted phones from Sony Ericsson. The same candy-bar style that graced the W800 is here, as is the horizontally-oriented camera unit on the back of the phone, allowing you to hold the phone just as you would a camera when you're taking pictures. The W810i's screen sports 176 x 220 pixel resolution with support for 262,000 colors. Quick access buttons below the screen make it easy to control the phone's Walkman music features, while a five-way center button controls most of the phone's menus and features.
The W810i contains 20 MB of embedded memory, but as mentioned, a Memory Stick Duo slot is provided, and it also supports Pro Duo cards, giving you storage capacities of 2 GB and beyond. The phone ships with a 128 MB Memory Stick Duo card. Of course, there's also a port for the phone's included stereo headset. USB and infrared data ports are provided, as well, and the phone supports USB mass storage so you can simply plug the phone into your computer and drag and drop files into the phone's memory using the included Disc2Phone PC application. To top it all off, the W810i's camera flash can double as a flashlight.
Calling Features
The W810i's phone book can hold up to 1000 contacts with multiple entries per contact. A call list remembers your most recent missed, received and dialed calls. The phone's voice activated dialing makes calling your contacts as easy as saying their names, while the built-in speakerphone makes it easy to talk without having the phone to your ear. Polyphonic ringtones are included and you can also use MP3 and AAC music files as ringtones. A cool application called Music DJ even lets you mix your own ringtones. Meanwhile, picture caller ID lets you assign a photo to specific callers. Similarly, a ringer ID lets you assign ringtones to callers. More ringtones are available from AT&Amp;T's MEdia NET mobile web service. For those times you want to keep things discreet, there's a vibrate ringer mode. And because the W810i is Bluetooth-enabled, you can use a variety of headsets and handsfree kits for total wireless freedom when you're on the go.
Messaging, Internet, and Tools
If you're looking for a mobile productivity partner, the W810i has you covered. Support is built in for sending and receiving pictures, text, graphics, and sound via MMS messages. When used in combination with the phone's built-in still and video camera, MMS opens up a whole new world of messaging possibilities. The phone also ships with a built-in email client with support for POP3, IMAP4 and SMTP protocols, while the included Access NetFront Web Browser allows you to surf full HTML web sites. An included IM client supports AOL, Yahoo!, ICQ and MSN instant messaging services. T9 text entry, a technology that makes it easier for people to enter words and text on handsets, is built into the unit-- a plus for mobile email and text messaging users.
Getting on the Internet is easy with the W810i, as it supports the GPRS protocol, as well as the high speed EDGE data protocol. When used with a AT&Amp;T data plan and the phone's USB or Bluetooth data capabilities the phone can be used as a wireless modem for laptops and PDAs.
A number of handy software tools are bundled with the W810i, including a voice memo recorder, a to-do list, a calculator, a calendar and an alarm clock. The phone also supports the SyncML PC synchronization standard, which lets you synchronize your PC-based calendar, contacts, notes and tasks with your W810i.
Imaging and Entertainment
The W810i is a Walkman phone, and that means it offers a great mobile music experience. Load up your favorite songs in MP3 or AAC format on a memory card and listen to your heart's content. The user-friendly music player application also includes a "Music Mode" that shuts down the phone functions so you can listen on an airplane or anytime you don't want to accept calls. Meanwhile, Digital Mega Bass and stereo widening combine to enhance your listening experience. There's even an FM radio for catching the big game or your favorite stations. The radio also supports reception of digital song information from radio stations. To enjoy all your tunes, a stereo headset ships with the phone.
And don't forget about that powerful 2-megapixel camera, which features something most camera phones lack -- autofocus. Finally, you can get consistently great shots from any distance, shots that rival the quality of a dedicated digital camera. The camera also features an LED flash and a 4x digital zoom, and it can capture video, as well. Dedicated controls on the side of the unit will make you forget you're holding a phone in your hand.
And what about gaming? This phone is definitely geared for the mobile fun fanatic, as it supports widescreen and 3D games. The W810i comes preloaded with several games and more are downloadable from Sony Ericsson.
Vital Statistics
The Sony Ericsson W810i weighs 3.49 ounces and measures 3.94 x 1.81 x .77 inches. Its lithium-ion battery is rated at up to 8 hours of digital talk time, and up to 350 hours of digital standby time. It runs on the GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 frequencies. The phone comes with a one year limited warranty.
Customer Reviews:
Almost perfect.......2007-06-15
This phone comes complete with more than any of my other phones, and it is smaller! What do you get for a small package? FM Radio, media player supporting up to 4 GB of music, stopwatch, timer, calendar, efficient contact organizer, Bluetooth, a bright light for the camera or to find you way around in the dark, a excellent camera, calculator, note taker, and long battery life.
Ericsson has always designed excellent phones. I still use, from time to time, my old T68. In between those phones I have had Motorola and Nokia. Both weren't even in the same league as this phone. Ericsson phones are easy to use and reliable. Anyone shopping for a GSM phone should look no further. Once you go Ericsson, getting anything else will depress you. I have hated my last two phones. I love my phone again.
Synch Problems not mentioned.......2007-06-12
Great little phone.......2007-06-10
A 2 mega pixel camera, a great MP3 player and ultra-compact phone. Just a few years ago we were carring shoulder bag phones that never worked, bulky cameras and cassette tape walkmans. Can't complain too much I guess!
Everything you want in a phone.......2007-06-09
The keypad is a bit smaller than other phones and the positions of the cingular and walkman keys are a bit strange so it may take you some time to get used to in the beginning. After that, everything is just fine.
My rebates are approved, actually. I see many people here have a problem with it. Maybe it's because my first bill is not exactly cheap so they want to help out a bit. Anyway, I'm very happy with AT&T and the phones I've had.
Great ALL ROUND PHONE.......2007-06-09
It is a great all round phone especially with a cash back of $100. I have found no problem till now with the usage of phone. It has
1.) Great Looks.
2.) Size and weight.
3.) Keypad is easy to write.
4.) Features like mp3, voice recorder, light, bluetooth and radio.
5.) Cingular AT&T has the best coverage overall.
The speaker could have been a bit louder. Anyway it's way ahead than RAZR.
Regards,
Praveen

Customer Reviews:
Fine form factor - misses on the media player.......2007-06-19
1. Build Quality - Out of the box the area between my volume and camera button was loose. My 8800 had the "squeaky side rails" syndrome and to some extent this one does as well. For a device which is priced so highly, these types of build issues should be worked out well in advance of production. The volume keys are difficult to push and recessed into the body of the 8300.
2. Media Player - My experience dragging and dropping mp3 both via the included software (s--l--o--w) and direct transfer was disappointing. Some tracks failed to transfer entirely. I am copying mp3 files into different folders and am not certain whether BB has a bug with reading mp3 files from folders.
3. Continued lack of html email capability - third party kludgeware is starting to eek out - but there still is the inability to natively read html emails. This is the year 2007 not 1980.
4. Pokey EDGE network. One of the included apps from ATT is XM Satellite Streaming. My experience with this app was very mixed. When it worked - it was cool (but VERY overpriced at $8.99/mo). However most of the time the stream was sporadic and had a lot of cutting in and out.
For all it's faults, the BB 8300 is still with me on a daily basis. The pictures from the camera are decent. I wish it had GPS capability like the 8800.
I think for business use you still cannot beat Blackberry.
For casual users, I think there are better solutions. Many users forget (or don't know) that the Blackberry requires an additional BB specific data plan in order to do just about anything useful.
impressive.......2007-06-17
Best Smart Phone On The Market.......2007-06-14
1) "Independent" Voice Commands - This is very important because "independent" voice commands do not have to be trained with the phone. The old way, "dependent", requires you to go through your program and say every word and number before hand and train it.
2) Media Player - As much as I have wanted a smart phone, I have also wanted a media player that would play videos as well as digital music. With the BB Curve, I killed two birds with one stone. This phone has an awesome media player.
3) Data Card - This phone uses micro sd cards for data storage. This is a plus for the media player. Currently I have a 2GB card and they say that 4GB will be available soon (or is already available). With 4GB you have plenty of room for videos, MP3s, as well as pictures and other applications.
4) Size and Feel - The form factor, or shape, of this phone is fantastic. I just recently purchased a BB case but before that it fit snugly into a RAZR case. It also has rubber sides that make it easy to hold and harder to drop. At less than 4 ounces, and just a little more than a 1/2 inch thick, what else can you say.
5) Excellent Battery Life
6) Numerous useful applications
7) Great camera with 2+ megapixel
8) Excellent Speakerphone
I have heard some people complain because it is not 3G but I sometimes wonder if 3G is not overrated.
The only problem I have with the phone is desktop manager could be a little simpler. I have had trouble using. Overall this phone is outstanding.
Curve It........2007-06-09
Pros:
-Comfy design
-2MP Camera (better than expected)
-Clear Calling
Cos-
-No Micro-SD included
-Complicated to change some settings
Conclusion: I would choose this phone anyday, don't decide against it. The word, "crackberry", also may come to mind. :-)

And don't forget, because the N75 is a Symbian smartphone, it supports opening and editing of those important attachments--documents, spreadsheets, PDFs, and more.
The N75 supports PC synchronization via USB or Bluetooth, which means you can manage and synchronize contacts, calendar and other data with your PC. Nokia's PC Suite application makes this process a breeze. You can also use Bluetooth to connect a wireless keyboard for efficient text entry. A number of handy software tools are bundled with the N75 including a voice memo recorder, a calculator, a calendar, a to-do list, and an alarm clock. On top of all that, a wide range of applications are available for Symbian devices like the N75.
Imaging and Entertainment
This is where the real fun begins. A mere click of the dedicated camera key on the Nokia N75 results in a sharp, ready to print 2.0-megapixel (1600 x 1200 pixels) photos. With a 16x digital zoom, an integrated flash LED, you can expect excellent quality from the photos taken. This entertainment device doubles as a mini TV screen, too, making it an ideal choice for optimized viewing of streaming and downloaded video clips. Featuring MPEG-4 video capture and playback in landscape mode, the Nokia N75 delivers an instant video experience with audio recording. With internal memory of up to 40 MB, which can be further expanded with an optional microSD card of up to 2 GB, the N75 allows you to capture up to 500 minutes of high quality video or close to 2500 2.0-megapixel photos. Additionally, once you've got all the pictures you want on your memory card, you can connect the phone directly to any PictBridge-compatible printer for instantaneous printing right from the phone.
The Nokia N75 music experience excels even with the device closed. The digital music player has easy to use controls on the cover of the device, and the reflective 1.36-inch color cover display guides you to your music, which is always just a button press away. Supporting a multitude of different formats, including MP3, M4A, AAC, eAAC+ and WMA, the advanced digital music player includes an equalizer, playlist, shuffle, and repeat features for a direct connection to compatible online music services. When you connect the Nokia N75 to your compatible PC, a mere tap on the music key acts as an instant link to music stored. The PC-mobile synchronization redirects your favorite tunes straight to the Nokia N75, which can store up to 1,500 individual tracks on an optional 2 GB microSD card. In addition to playing downloaded music and ripped CDs, the Nokia N75 also includes a stereo FM radio, allowing you to listen to your favorite talk or music radio stations through your compatible headphones or through the integrated 3D stereo speakers.

ASIN: B000MSBUZO Release Date: 2006-12-18 |
Amazon.com Product Description
Featuring the perfect blend of broadband-like speed, dynamic multimedia capabilities, and cutting-edge design, the MOTO RAZR V3xx is the first Motorola handset to ship with High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) and EDGE technology. The iconic RAZR design is still here, as is the all-metal construction, this time, though, the phone boasts an updated and streamlined design, enhanced media capabilities, a 1.30-megapixel camera, a hot-swappable MicroSD memory card slot, and more. Simply put, the V3xx is the perfect combination of performance and style, and the perfect complement to Cingular service.
Cingular, Motorola, and HSDPA high-speed data: the perfect combination. |
At .58 inches thick, the RAZR V3xx is virtually the same thickness as the original RAZR. And like the original RAZR, the phone's design takes the standard clamshell form factor to the next level with an impressive, fully-anodized aluminum construction, and 60 MB of internal memory. A large 240 x 320 color display with over 262,000 colors dominates the inside of the top cover, while the outside cover of the handset sports a supplementary 96 x 80 full-color display that can display caller ID pictures, time, call information, battery and signal strength, and more. The integrated VGA and 1.30-megapixel digital camera is housed above this display. Use the VGA camera for live two-way video calls at up to 15 frames per second. Up/down buttons are placed on the left side for volume control, as well as the camera button and mini-USB port.
Most of the phone's features and on-screen menus are controlled by a five-way center button on the handset's backlit control pad, which is precision cut from a single sheet of nickel-plated copper alloy. A mini-USB port is provided, which, while useful for fast data transfer, can also be used with compatible USB stereo headsets. Note that the phone does not have a standard 2.5mm headset jack. Lastly, a charging port is placed on the bottom of the phone, and an unobtrusive internal antenna is safely tucked away, keeping the phone's design compact and portable.
Calling Features
The RAZR V3xx's internal phone book can hold up to 1000 contacts while the phone's picture ID system allows you to assign pictures to your most common callers. The phone also supports polyphonic ringtones as well as MP3 ringers, allowing you to use portions of your favorite songs to alert you to incoming calls. For times when you want to be discreet, there's a vibrating alert. A built-in speakerphone makes it easy to talk without having the phone to your ear while voice activated dialing makes calling your friends, family and associates as easy as saying their names. Speaker-independent technology allows any speaker to dial numbers with the voice dialing system. And because the RAZR V3xx is Bluetooth enabled, wireless headsets for calling, and even wireless stereo headsets for music can be configured with the phone for total handsfree operation.
Messaging, Internet, and Tools
The RAZR V3xx is a messaging and wireless Internet powerhouse. With HSDPA and EDGE technology, the RAZR V3xx delivers broadband-like speeds for downloading, Web browsing, and data exchange. Leveraging these advanced capabilities, the RAZR V3xx allows for live two-way video calls at up to 15 frames per second, over the air music and video downloads, direct media streaming, and more.
Support is built in for sending and receiving pictures, text, graphics, sound and video via messages. When used in combination with the phone's built-in still and video camera, MMS opens up a whole new world of messaging fun. And because UMTS and HSDPA support built right into the phone, you'll be streaming and downloading at speeds so fast your head will spin. Used in combination with one of Cingular's MEdia Max plans that supports Cingular Video (additional Cingular charges apply), the V3xx will allow you to play high-quality news clips, sports clips, weather clips, and more--right on your phone. And with Cingular's exclusive partnership with HBO Mobile and HBO Family Mobile, you'll never be at a loss for something good to watch.
