good phone, awful battery.......2006-10-09

the phone works great. I have had this phone for about 4 years now. the problem that i had was the battery. After a couple of menths the battery started to last less and less, to the point where it lasted for only 2 minutes. I changed the battery for one with more mAmps and the problem was solved.

Worked great at first... But then disappointment.......2006-01-01

the KX-TG2267B is disappointing how after less than two years it's buttons are now only working intermittently, and I have to order a new phone, as this is out of warranty, and I couldn't get inside to clean the contacts.

I've had the other Panasonic model KX-TGA270S base station and handset for just slightly less time than this phone. The KX-TGA270S is a wonderful expandable unit. So I will order anothjer handset for that unit rather than make the mistake of buying this phone again.

Anyone remember how phones in the 50s and 60s lasted as long as you used them? Now with these cheap cordless phones we just expect that we have to replace them every few years...

Don't waste your money.......2005-04-22

Discounting other negative reviews here, I went ahead and purchased this phone several months ago. A pretty little phone it is. And relatively easy to get up and running. BUT unless you a real phone "techie" and familiar with multiple menus and cursoring back and forth and up and down, this is not the phone to buy!

Battery problems are strange, but avoidable.......2004-10-18

I recently acquired a 2.4Ghz Panasonic cordless phone after seeing one my parents have had the last 5 months and being very impressed with the features. I wanted to post this because I've seen the many reviews complaining of poor battery life.

My question for all the people experiencing problems: Did you leave the phone charging on the base unit while you weren't using it? If so, you should understand this. For whatever reason, these phones appear to be counterintuitively designed so that the battery lasts longer when NOT left on the base unit.

And in fact, my owner's manual for model KXZ-TG2355 states this under the Battery Information section: "If the battery is fully charged, you do not have to place the handset on the base unit until 'Recharge battery' is displayed and/or [the battery indicator] flashes. This will maximize battery life."

So although this is a very strange way of designing a phone (or a battery), it regardless is not something Panasonic doesn't address in its manual, and therefore it can be avoided. Don't leave the phone charging until it needs it! I hope this review will help balance the many complaints from people who advise against getting these phones because their batteries have inexplicably gone dead.

I, too, think this phone is terrific. Crisp, clear connections, sleek design, and all the latest features. I would prefer if it had an on/off switch, but other than that, I can't say enough great things about it. I'm actually purchasing a second one for our home!
