The Panasonic KXTG5480S Digital Cordless Phone features a 5.8 GHz Giga Range Frequency-Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) Technology. This technology improves calling range and clarity which eliminates cross talk to someone else's phone calls. This cordless system also helps reduce the possibility of eaves dropping because of its rapidly changing transmission frequencies within the 5.8 GHz bandwidth. This technology also operates on a different wavelength with much less traffic than the previous 2.4 HGz tecnology but still has the high levels of security, clarity and range. No need to worry about interference with wireless computer networks either.The Panasonic KXTG5480S has two lines with a LED in-use line indicator. If you have two outside phone lines connected, this unit supports up to 40way conferencing with 2 outline lines, base, and handset. Call Waiting, Caller ID, displays the information of a second caller even while you're on the line. This All-Digital Answering System requires no tapes to reset or rewind. Operation is virtually silent. Once callers reach the answering system, they will be guided through the task of leaving a message. A total of 1 hour worth of messages can be stored. Date and time stamps are automatically recorded with the messages as they are received. The flash memory will hold all recorded messages in case of any power interruptions or failures.
