The Olympia OL5800 5.8 GHz cordless phone offers stylish good looks and a nice bundle of features for a very reasonable price. With support for call waiting and caller ID (requires subscription through your phone company), this model provides 10 programmable memory-dialing locations and a three-line backlit LCD on the handset with adjustable contrast and trilingual menu prompts.

The OL5800 offers the standard features you're used to plus a few extras, including last number redial, new voice-message waiting indicator, and VIP priority calling. The pewter-grey housing can be customized to suit your decor when you choose among the three interchangeable faceplates (included). The phone comes with an NiMH rechargeable battery pack, and can be desk- or wall- mounted.

I bought this item few weeks ago. Its not worth buying. Very very bad voice quality. The only good things is the fancy lights.

Olympia Tango Phone - Cute but Poor Quality.......2005-07-19

This phone has the absolute WORST sound quality of any cordless phone I've ever used. There is static and feedback. You can even hear an echo of your own voice back through the ear piece.

On the plus side, the phone is really cool looking. The lights on it and the color are what drew me to it. I just knew that this was the phone for my daughter. I had high hopes for it as it matched my daughters new room really well. Even she doesn't like talking on it.

When an 8 year old can tell the sound quality is too bad to bother with, you know it is bad.

Not a bad phone for the price.......2007-02-28

I'll admit, I only ordered the phone because it was cheap, it was purple, and it had those really cool dancing lights. I wasn't really concerned about quality, as I don't talk on the phone that much. I've had the phone for almost two years, and the battery is starting to go, plus half the lights are burnt out. It is also getting to be very fuzzy while trying to hold a conversation, so I will be buying a new phone soon. I don't think I'll be buying another one of these, though. Once the lights burnt out, my fascination was gone.

A terrible quality phone.......2006-02-24

I got this phone because they were offering a terrific rebate. The noise level was terrible and the phone starting making a loud whistling noise when you talked, so it was practically worthless. Even with the rebate, I paid way too much for the quality of this phone. I would definitely recommend choosing a different phone.

THe lights are cool. My kids love them. The phone works good and it was cheaper to buy the phone than to buy a battery for the old phone.

It's okay for a cheap phone........2005-09-24

If you have teens because you don't have to worry about knocking these phones around they seem to be pretty sturdy. I bought 2 at about 17 bucks apiece. The bad part is that you can't turn the ringers off when you want peace and quiet. The volume returns to its low setting when you hang up so that each individual call requires a volume adjustment otherwise you wont hear the person speaking on the other end.

The only thing good about this phone is the lights, our 10 month old loves it. The praises stop there. VERY Difficult to use, the sound is horrible, difficult to even make a call. I have 4 other phones by the same manufacturer and those work great, but this one is not worth the $2.99 AR that I paid for it. Do not waste your time or money unless you want a toy phone for the 10 month old.

The sound on this phone is poor and the clock cannot be set. The lights are neat but do not buy if you want a quality sound!

You cannot set the clock!!!.......2005-04-24

This phone is cheap....the sound quality matches (which I can live with). What I couldn't deal with was that they include a clock that the user CAN NOT SET. Nowhere in the manual does it give instructions for setting the clock (although you can set the language, area code, ringer, and blinky lights). Turns out...the undocumented "feature" is that you have to wait for a callerID call to come in...and then the clock is supposed to set. Guess what....doesn't work. So..it's a cheap phone with cool blinky lights that never has the right time set.
