I had this phone for like 2 yrs already. So far the phone was very good. People writing about this review are somehow stupid. My batteries are ok. It died after 1 yr of use, very acceptable result. The reason why people had lesser battery life than me is they are stupid to read instructions on the phone! IT WAS CLEARLY SAID THAT LET THE PHONE DISCHARGE OR HAVE LOW BATT INDICATION BEFORE PUTTING BACK TO HANDSET! If you fail to that and keep on placing the phone to the handset u are entirely stupid and destroying the battery with over charge! So people stating this phone has poor battery life! THIS IS TOTAL MISS USE AND DONT KNOW HOW TO READ INSTRUCTIONS

Some Nice features but Terrible battery time.......2003-10-04

I bought this phone after owning another superb panasonic cordless that dies after 4 years. This phone has some nice features. With Caller ID and memory feature. It can recall a vast amount of numbers but this phone has no battery life at all. It says you can get 5 hours...NO WAY! I am lucky if I can get 1 hour of talk time. It goes from full charge to recharge in 45 min and it takes hours to recharge. I would not reccomend this phone at all.

Poor Battery life.......2003-06-08

I purchased my KX-TG2205W in October 2002. After only about 3 to 4 months the battery life declined to just a few hours of standby and very few calls. This past week I purchased a new battery, (about 1/3rd of original price of the phone) I then charged the new battery for 24 hours. The first use with the new battery lasted only about 12 hours, then DEAD once again. What we thought was a nice phone, liked the features, now becomes useless at all the wrong times. I purchased a 2nd phone as a gift, seems like it too may have been a poor choice? Now Panasonic suspects the charging system, requested me to send it in and they will replace with a "Refurbished Phone" This leaves me quite unhappy.

Get something else.......2003-04-27

We had this phone for 10 months and got a new one because we had finally had it with this one. The features are nice, but the major annoyance is the battery life or the lack there of. You can be talking on the phone for just a short time,15 minutes or less,and the battery goes dead. Without any warning at all. Not even a beep or two. We got it because we liked the speakerphone but that was the only good thing about it. We got in place of it a Motorola without a speakerphone and have been happy with it.
