At long last Pink Floyd: Pulse has arrived on DVD, and Floyd fans already know it's a major cause to celebrate. The original VHS release was a milestone bestseller, but it seemed to take forever for the DVD to arrive, with numerous delays while Floyd guitarist David Gilmour and long-time Floyd producer James Guthrie labored to restore, re-edit, and remix this legendary concert video in 5.1-channel Dolby Surround Sound. The resulting two-disc set was well worth the wait: While the limitations of the original video source are still evident in the sometimes-hazy image quality (Gilmour would later admit the concert should have been captured on film), Floyd fans will unanimously agree that Pulse has never looked or sounded better, and only the absence of group co-founder Roger Waters prevents this from being the ultimate document of Pink Floyd in performance. (Even without Waters, it's easily one of the group's most impressive stage productions.) Gracefully directed with minimal intrusion by veteran music video and concert director David Mallet, and shot on video during Pink Floyd's two-week stint at London's Earls Court Exhibition Centre in October 1994, this 145-minute performance (from Floyd's Division Bell tour) is a sonic marvel to behold. Under a massive arch festooned with then-state-of-the-art laser, lighting, and projection systems, the 1987 incarnation of Pink Floyd (Gilmour, keyboardist Richard Wright, and drummer Nick Mason) and their stellar supporting band kicks off with "Shine on You Crazy Diamond" (a loving tribute to Floyd co-founder Syd Barrett), followed by four tracks from The Division Bell, two from 1987's A Momentary Lapse of Reason, "Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2)" from 1979's magnum opus The Wall, and leading into intermission with an absolutely stunning performance of "One of These Days," the timeless opening track from 1971's Meddle.
The centerpiece of Disc 2 is a near-perfect performance of 1974's Dark Side of the Moon in its entirety--reason enough to make this a must-have DVD for even the most casual Floyd admirers. And while no one will ever re-create the sheer magnificence of Clare Torry's original tour de force vocals on "The Great Gig in the Sky," it's safe to say that backup singers Sam Brown, Claudia Fontaine, and Durga McBroom deliver the next best thing, in addition to seamless contributions throughout the concert. After the closing heartbeat of "Eclipse," the concert ends with encore performances of "Wish You Were Here," "Comfortably Numb," and a no-holds-barred, pyrotechnically explosive rendition of The Wall's "Run Like Hell," all showcasing Gilmour's guitar mastery with frequent close-ups of his picking and fret-work as seen throughout the concert. (Like Gilmour, Mason and Wright were never dynamic onstage, and that's true here as well, but their technical precision is fully evident, and while guitarist Tim Renwick and saxophonist Dick Parry are each given moments to shine, bassist Guy Pratt is a worthy substitution for Waters, especially when vocally sparring with Gilmour on "Run Like Hell.")
With beautiful packaging, an 8-page booklet, and menu designs by long-time Floyd associate Storm Thorgerson, the DVDs offer an abundance of bonus features including "Bootlegging the Bootleggers," featuring surprisingly good-quality "boot" video performances of "What Do You Want From Me?," "On the Turning Away," "Poles Apart," and "Marooned." The surreal round-ratio screen films seen throughout the concert can all be viewed independently (still in round format, and several offered in both original and alternate versions). Music videos for "Learning to Fly" and "Take It Back" are included on Disc 1, along with "Tour Stuff" including maps, itineraries, and stage plans for the 1994 tour. "Say Goodbye to Life as We Know It" is a playful backstage video (mostly involving the production staff's ongoing quest for a good pint of beer), and after delivering a heartfelt introduction to Pink Floyd's 1996 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (with Roger Waters and Syd Barrett acknowledged by Gilmour), Smashing Pumpkins leader Billy Corgan joins Gilmour and Wright for a moving acoustic performance of "Wish You Were Here" (directed at Waters, perhaps?). Additional features include album cover art, a photo gallery, and the concert-only audio choice between a 448kbps audio bitstream or a higher-quality 640kbps stream for higher-quality DVD players. The system set-up feature ensures that audiophiles will achieve optimum speaker performance in keeping with Pink Floyd's exacting technical standards. In tandem with the superior concert presentation, these features make Pulse one of the best--if not the best--music DVDs of 2006, guaranteed to satisfy Floyd fans for many years to come. --Jeff Shannon

PERFECTION ACHIEVED IN REPRODUCTION OF A MASTERPIECE.......2007-07-10
Growing up in the 60's and 70's one only wondered when man would be able to achieve quality sound reproduction as in the recording studio. Finally, man has broken through in the field of sound technology! To the young people of today, watch this. This is what its all about! CREATIVITY!!!not the excrement for the ears which the corporations are dishing out to you! This dvd is incredible! Words cannot express the feeling that the brain receives when it gets musical nourishment! All Pink Floyd fans unite. This is a must have, to enjoy over and over again!
What a pity there are no groups with the caliber of Pink Floyd to take the advantage of this unique sound technology we have today!
Pink Floyd - Pulse.......2007-07-05
I can only say, Wow this is totally awesome. The sound quality and concert footage gives you the best seat in the house.
had it for years on lazer disc now finally on DVD.......2007-06-22
Saw this show twice in Atlanta. This is a must have. The only thing about this show that isn't as good as the 87 tour is the girl singers. They still are good though. This was the stage and light show that will probally keep David Gilmore from ever touring Pink Floyd again. I don't think they could out do it. Great sound and lots of extras the lazer disc didn't have. You won't miss Roger too bad trust me. This show was history. If you missed it this will get you there. Turn it up and enjoy
pink floyd in all their glory.......2007-06-15
This DVD is definitely a winner...The unique sound of "the Floyd" comes across splendidly here...Video and audio are extra sharp, and the colors and the laser effects are outstanding...get it for yourself.
excellent.......2007-06-13

My daughter received this for a graduation gift, her request and now watches it EVERYDAY; Thanks for the prompt delivery and quality product.
Michael Jackson - Video Greatest Hits - HIStory.......2007-05-24
This was a great video, the songs, the dancing, brought back so many great memories. Even my Grand daughters loved it. Thanks for the memories.
You can't beat the King of Pop in his early years!.......2007-05-22
This has all of the old, really good songs that Michael did videos for. No one can go through the 20th Century without being influenced by "Thriller", "Beat It", "Billie Jean", "Remember the Time".... The video even caught the attention of my husband who is not "into" MJ and was supposed to be doing something "important". Children, teenagers, young adults and not-so-young adults all love the early songs of the King of Pop. The video is very entertaining and fun.
Worth every penny.......2007-05-15
This DVD sure brings me back to my High School Days. I loved watching all the old plus the newer stuff from Micheal Jackson. I love every single short movie especially the Thriller one. Worth every penny. Great for Collection.
Michael Jackson Revisited.......2007-05-07
I loved the long versions of "Bad" and "The Way You Make Me Feel". I had forgotten why Michael Jackson was called the KING OF POP! He was ahead of his time in style, with his video shorts, and his stories. His underlining stories all deal with the human condition in some way--"The Way You Make Me FeeL" deals with the importance of being yourself when it comes to love and "Bad" deals with being good over being bad.
One sees his style copied by so many of the entertainers from all over the world again and again. He's the KING OF POP and to date no one has surpassed him. Many have tried but none with the impact he has made on the world.

Customer Reviews:
Works great, if you can keep it in your ear.......2007-07-04
The Samsung WEP200 Bluetooth Headset is light, has excellent battery life, talk time, and plenty of range. It would rate a full 5 stars if every time I used I I didn't to think to myself "I wonder how long it's going to be before it falls out my ear."
Works OK (not excellent) with Palm 700p.......2007-06-17
I bought this item for use with my Verizon Palm 700p. It works ok for the most part except that I think it causes 700p to crash and reboot periodically. Also, it randomly loses connection to the 700p for no apparent reason, i.e., it is still way within range of the 700p and still loses connection. I suspect this may have something to do with 700p bluetooth firmware which I hear is quite buggy anyway. Also, it can be hard to hear in noisy conditions like in a car, or windy outdoors. However, it fits well in my ear and is comfortable.
Good Bluetooth Headset.......2007-05-30
This is the first bluetooth headset that I have ever bought. Overall, I am happy with the device, especially the compact size. I have been a little disappointed with the voice recognition. At least 50% of the time, it can't understand what I am saying so I have to manually find the number. Part of the problem may also be with my cell phone provider, Sprint. Either way, if you want a small bluetooth, then this is a great choice.
Like the Samsung product better than the Motorola.......2007-05-21
I had the Motorola HS850 and the volume was so low that I could barely hear the person. My husband has the Motorola and loves it, but it wasn't for me. It didn't fit very well either. I bought this Samsung one because consumer reports ranked it among the best and so far it has been great. The volume is loud enough and it is comfortable in my ear. Surprisingly it does not fall out.
headset.......2007-05-14
I am having a hard time getting it in my ear. Unfortunately, there are no instructions either with the headset, or anywhere on the web, that I can find as to the proper way to put it in one's ear. So far, I haven't been able to use it. I bought this because of all of the wonderful reviews I read on Amazon, but I am not happy and may have to return it.

Customer Reviews:
It's not work for Nano 2nd G.......2007-05-13
I discovered that it's not suitable for Nano 2G because of it's round corners, but it's very good in it's pure plastic and it fine made.
Did not fit product advertised.......2007-02-01
This did not fit my Second generation ipod as advertised and I did not get any response about returning it, and of course I had to open the thing to find out it didn't fit.
NOT FOR THE NEW IPOD NANOS!!!!!!!!!!.......2006-12-15
I got this for my wife's new nano, but the new nanos are not rounded on the corners like the older ones, so the new ones WILL NOT FIT in this case. I'll have to see if I can return it. I am surprised Amazon is still listing this item.
Clear is great - easily marred surface..........2006-07-26
This case works well, is clear, and is sufficient protection for most iPod scratching and stuff. The case itself is so Not impervious to scratching - after two weeks it's pretty beat up and I keep my iPod in my bag! That is OK with me though - I wanted protection most of all and all those scratches didn't get to the iPod. One thing bugs me and that is I have to periodically open the case and clean it - it is not sealed to dust or water, so you still need to use common sense. Also, I would not trust it in a fall - your iPod won't crack, but a fall would still hurt it. I don't really know any real protection for that though, so I recommend this case.
Almost Perfect - Slot in Bottom Too Narrow for Some Earphones........2006-07-22
Very nice hard case with removable belt clip that inverts Nano so earphone jack is on top. Great for running or other exercise - just clip it to your pants or shorts. Nano fits perfectly in the clear case. Protects screen and remainder of surface (but not wheel) while adding very little bulk. Only problem was that the plug for my Shure E3c earphones was too thick to push all the way through the narrow bottom slot. Careful filing on the case widened the slot around the earphone jack another 1/8 inch and all works fine now. The manufacturer should widen the slot to at least accomodate earphone plugs that are no thicker than the Nano. Otherwise, 5 Stars.

Customer Reviews:
Plantronics.......2007-05-22
The headset fits in well with any ear and is not a bother even if you wear it for a long time. The only issue that I found is that there is a definite disturbance in sound when outside in the open. I believe it is due to interference of air with the waves. It becomes basically useless when using outside while walking down a pavement. New Yorkers would not find it handy. I use it mostly when I drive and it works just fine for me.
Great fit; mediocre performance.......2007-05-05
This is my second Bluetooth Headset; I had a Motorola HS820 before. It turns out they have complementary problems:
The Motorola sounded good but wouldn't stay on my ear. It feel off once too often and stopped working after less than a year.
This Plantronics 330 sticks to my ear like gravy. But the call quality is indifferent-to-bad.
Using it with a Cingular 2125 it is hard for people to understand me; "Quiet" and "echoey" are the two most common complaints. I can understand them quite well but only provided that I hold the phone within 3 feet of the receiver. The range is appalling.
I used to wear my Motorola headset and wander around the room with no impact on signal quality; with the Plantronics 330 if I wear the headset on my right ear and put the phone in my left jacket pocket it causes the quality to deteriorate sharply. If I've been on a call for 20 or 30 minutes, I have to hold the phone within inches of the headset to maintain a tolerable signal.
I do find it very comfortable and stable. It has a little rubber bud that one inserts inside one's ear and it never falls off, but based on its limitations I would not recommend this device.
Not bad, not great, you get what you pay for.......2007-04-24
I got this because it was the least expensive, decent looking bluetooth headset available. One really big thing in its favor is that, in comparison to other bluetooth headsets, the 330 is pretty discreet. Okay, I admit, it flashes blue every once and a while and people look at you funny. But it is by far one of the least obnoxious and lowest-impact earpieces in terms of appearance. For me, that is a good thing. You may desire a different, more bling bling look. Another good thing is the price.
However, the price seems to show in the quality of the earphone. The microphone appears to work fine- no complaints from people that I could not hear them clearly. But in my experience, this headset has been very variable in regard to how clearly I can hear the other person. The fidelity seems variable and I can't explain why. At this price, I really would not hesitate to buy it, though. I got it when it cost a little more and I do not regret buying it. I do not doubt that there are better bluetooth headsets out there, but I do not think that for thirty bucks this is a waste of money. If I'd paid $150 for it, I would say that the fidelity of the earphone is not up to par for an item of that price, but that's not the case.
Does not work with Treo.......2007-04-12
Nice compact headset, but will not stay coneected to my Treo 700P. Connects easily, but drops connection every 10 minutes or so. I called Plantronics and was told NONE of theie headsets are working with Treo phones.I had to return the headset in less than 24 hours
Good headset.......2007-04-02
I really like this headset of the two I've had before, mostly because it has the piece that fits inside your ear. The over the ear clip isn't loose and fits okay. The only thing that bothers me is sometimes if I don't have the headset in my ear properly, that inside piece irritates my ear. Other than that it's a really good headset. I like it better than the two Motorola's headsets I've had in the past.

Customer Reviews:
Cobra muerde!.......2007-04-11
"Cobra" es una pelicula de acción para el lucimiento de Stallone, como una especie de rambo urbano.Si bien la trama es sencilla, la pelicula avanza a punta de balazos, y en eso cumple bien.Despues de tanta secuelas como "Rocky Balboa", "John Rambo" y...¿ se animará para Cobra 2? Por mientras, ve esta para pasar un buen rato.
This is where the law stops....and I start !.......2006-11-23
Sly, after having single-handedly defeated the Soviet Union in Rocky IV, is back as tough, no-nonsense but relatively ironic LA police officer Marion "Cobra" Cobretti.
Cobra is up against a gang of assassins known as the "New World", whose major activities are axe-clanging, riding motorbikes and killing random victims (apparently an equal opportunity gang, as there are asians and women among the victims).
The initial supermarket scene is memorable, as we learn that Cobra prefers to "put away psychos" (read: shoot multiple times) rather than dealing with them.
More importantly, as the gang sets its sights on hapless Nielsen (a fashion model), Cobra turns into a lean killing machine that despises sociological analysis of crime ie "tell it to the judge...we put them away and they let them out".
Compared to Cobra, even Bush could pass as rabidly left-wing.
In the end he is able to single handedly kill all gang members and even get the girl as a bonus.
Overall a low body count, compensated by an intense performance by Sly, some interesting weapons, memorable lines (see review title, plus Cobra's views on society and justice) and an unforgettable ending among California's orange orchards.
An interesting addition to a DVD collection, especially indicated for Sly connoisseurs.
A Cop above The Law.......2006-11-10
Sly is the ultimate cop in this movie. He goes above and beyond his call of duty to protect the innocent. Even when his superiors tell him to chill out and how they want the job done. He ignores them and does things his way. And thats the only way. Especially when it comes to dealing with low life criminals.
Eating pizza with scissors. The Cobra style. .......2006-06-13
This movie is so bad that you have to love it, from the opening scene in the super market, to the motorcycle/car chase at the end of the movie. This movie has got it all. Sly is the archetype of a stale, tough on the outside, warm on the inside hero. The one liners are sick. For instance when the super market is threatened to be blown to pieces Sly says, "Go ahead, I don't shop here."
As for Brigitte Nielsen, what a wonderful little (or tall) actress she is. I especially like the part in the parking garage, where she is fighting for her life. I found it all so believable. I really think she should have gotten an Oscar in 1986 for this movie. Why not? Judi Dench received an academy award for Shakespeare in Love and she was only in it for five minutes. Here we have eighty-seven minutes of sheer genius.
Last but not least, I love the Bounty Hunter from the X-Files as the lead villain. What a wonderful job he did, because he had to really work outside his acting realm to be in this film. I also loved the Bounty Hunter's minions, all very upset blue-collar workers who wanted to be loved. So they joined a serial killer cult!! I love this movie! I love the Zombie Squad! I love the 80's music in this movie! Why can't Cobra just come over my house and have some Famous Amos cookies with me?!
Psycho?.......2006-06-07
A "get what you pay for" Dirty Harry clone in which Sly tosses out a few too many tough guy one-liners, basically. Perhaps I'm over-analyzing the thing, but watch closely as buttoned-down Andrew Robinson, best known for his "Scorpio" serial sniper in Clint's original vigilante cop hit referenced above, has a moment when, after being accosted by Sly's Cobretti, snarls, "HE'S the psycho!!" A clever intentional line? who knows? lol
