The Midland 75-517 two-way radio was designed as a very compact radio with a full range of privacy codes to keep your conversations free of any unwanted signals. It includes 14 FRS channels with 38 CTCSS and 83 DCS digital privacy codes (for a total of 1,694 code/channel combinations to block out unwanted transmissions). It also includes 10 weather channels (7 NOAA and 3 Canadian).
Shock resistant and waterproof, the 75-517 is great for outside use. With FM/UHF quality you will get a clear signal every time for up to two miles. It is voice activated with nine settings and has a built-in dual-watch function that lets you monitor two channels at once. The radio also comes with Stealth Squelch to help eliminate interfering popping noises between your transmissions.
The 75-517 comes with a rechargeable battery pack and a desktop charger. Other features include a four-tone roger beep, channel scan, a power-save mode, a flexible antenna, and a belt clip. This Midland radio comes with a limited one year warranty.
