Cobra's FRS305 is a Family Radio Service (FRS) two-way radio with top-of-the-line features like 10 memory channels, water-resistant construction for outdoor use, and vibrating alert mode--perfect for quiet environments you don't want to disturb or noisy environments where you can't hear a ring alert. This radio comes with all 14 available FRS channels plus 38 CTCSS privacy codes per channel, providing 532 subchannel options. With 500 milliwatts of output power, the Cobra FRS305 has a range of up to two miles.
An audible incoming-call alert lets one unit ring another to initiate a conversation, and the talk-confirmation tone indicates the completion of your transmission and signals others that it's clear to talk. The electronic memory remembers the last channel used, while the key lock, when activated, prevents accidental channel change. Other convenient features include a monitor function, a headphone/speaker jack, Cobra's SoftGrip casing for a reliable gripping surface, and a belt clip holster that can also function as a desk stand.
The Cobra FRS305 is powered by four AAA batteries (not included). It also includes charge pads in the battery door to allow an optional NiMH battery pack to be charged in an optional charger. You can expect 20 to 25 hours of operation with either battery type.
