By activating the VOX you only have to talk into the front of the radio or use an optional headset to make the radio transmit. With 38 CTCSS codes and 83 DCS codes allow for private communicating. This package comes with a high speed recharging unit, allowing for a ninety minute turn-around for the included NiMH battery pack. Remember that you'll need a FCC license to operate this powerful radio.
