Equipped with six waterproof gaskets, the BDR-100 is water-resistant so you can use it in practically any environment. Voice-activated transmission (VOX) allows hands-free use. The display has an LED for use in dim light, and a field-strength and battery-level indicator. The talk-confirmation tone lets the person on the other side know that it is clear for them to respond.
This radio requires four AAA batteries (not included) for up to 26 hours of operation. Other features include five memory locations for radio settings, a keypad lock, belt clip, wrist strap, and channel scan.
