A top tenor from the past.......2004-03-06

Bonci was a favorite of Verdi, himself. He was so good that he starred in New York for Oscar Hammerstein's opera company in direct competition with no less a figure than Enrico Caruso. His voice was sweet and possessed the very essence of elegance. This CD is well worth having as a historical record of a voice type and style not to be found today.
