Editorial Reviews The artist brings a unique sensitivity to his music from his missionary experiences with the people of Latin America as an accomplished eye surgeon. He has personally shared in their tragedy and their joyfulness moods that this folk-based repertoire so beautifilly expresses. This is music that puts real life into the beauty of a song. Dr. Strauss lives with his wife of 25 years in Tyler, Texas. They have four children and one grandchild. The art work on the CD cover was the gift of a friend who did the sketch for the portrait during a concert. It was given out of appreciation for the Christian influence the artist has had in his life. "Encanto de la Cancion" was recorded, mixed, and mastered at WindWord studios in Tyler, Texas by Mr. Alex Blair.
