Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Magnificent intro to a glorious composer.......2005-07-02

This is the best "early music" choral recording I've heard by an American choir. Breathtaking music that's done with extreme sensitivity in the style of any of the great European choirs doing this repertoire. Crecquillon (surely widely known in his day since he worked for the most powerful ruler in the world) is hardly known in the 21st century, Hopefully this recording and vol 2 will change that (in the same way as the Cardinall's Musick have done with their excellent 4 vol survey of another forgotten English master, and near contemporary to Crecquillon, Nicholas Ludford).

  10. Electric Counterpoint
