Editorial Reviews
Album Description
The word, "Pilgrimage", gives rise to thoughts of an endless series of events, real or imagined, associated with the lives of individuals or groups of people striving toward a common destination. Justice, or lack thereof, is intertwined along the way with every progressing pilgrimage. The collection of seven solo piano pieces is regarded as a highly personal and psychological portrait of Franz Liszt. This unique figure of the 19th century has so much to give us in today's world and speaks to us in such a timely manner as we all continue our personal pilgrimages in the 21st century. The vocal songs chosen for inclusion on this disc capture moments in a person pilgrimage of universal experience; elusive, fleeting and ongoing.
