Album Description
Solo piano improvisations by Mehmet Okonsar.

I recorded these improvisations on three consecutive days at my home studio in Ankara, Turkey. I began improvising them with no specific ideas of themes or structures. My intention was to explore some piano composing techniques such as "harmonic-orchestral" (Tracks #1, 4) or "arpeggio-accompanied melody" (Track #6). I later titled the pieces using quotations that I believe reflect the mood of the music.

I performed and MIDI-recorded the pieces on my Yamaha C1 grand piano equipped with a Gulbransen keyboard scanning system. The audio recordings were then made on a Yamaha GrandTouch GT1 digital piano.
