Album Description
"Neglected Masterpieces" is Mazdak’s second release. In this CD, Mazdak returns to his classical roots with a very interesting and unfamiliar repertoire. The repertoire heard on this CD includes two early works by the great Polish composer Karol Szymanowski, a set of Variations by Beethoven on the popular tune "God Save the King", the Suite op.14 by Bartok, two songs by Schubert transcribed by Liszt, and the 14th Hungarian Rhapsody by Liszt. This is a delicate, virtuosic repertoire, and Mazdak offers a comprehensive interpretation on these works which ranges from the early 1800's to the mid 1920's.

Neglected Masterpieces, Music, Szymanowski, Liszt Beethoven, Piano Solo, Mazdak Khamda, Rarely performed repertoire for solo piano ranging from variations by Beethoven to Preludes and Etudes by Karol Szymanowski. Album also includes works by Schubert and Liszt.
