"Testing," the musical. Music and lyrics by Mark Perreault. Book by Alvin Aronson and Mark Perreault. Based on a short story from "Don Quixote" called 'The Man Who Was Too Curious for His Own Good.' The musical, set on a summer island just outside of New York City, is a modern treatment of a classic story about a man who asks his best friend to test the virtues of his girlfriend. The concept is similar to that of Mozart's "Cosi Fan Tutte."

The Tesing LP - An Excellent Musical.......2004-01-20

"The Testing LP" was a surpringly excellent find. Mr. Perrreault and group have assembled a first rate musical with an excellent mix of solos and ensemble pieces. Mr. E. Mark Murhpy and Ms. Kathleen Ryan are both very capable singers and they sing with confidence and passion. The album is solid in depth with no songs that could be considered throw aways. "Fire Island Goodbye" does stand above the group as the best track on the album. I look forward to seeing this musical performed in many theatres and hopefully on Broadway.
