Editorial Reviews This unique work combines vocal chant of the Greek Orthodox Church with a piano version of the chant. Dr. Barnes inspiration by the mystical interplay between music and theology results in a CD that offers a revealing perspective of both the physical and the spiritual worlds that are uniquely encountered through the mediation of music. The inspiration of Ancient Greek Orthodox Icons and Byzantine chant carries over into his very personal interpretation of Liszt's B minor Sonata. Dr. Barnes' performances of his unique lecture/recitals have brought him international acclaim. Included on the disc is POTIRION SOTIRIU - Ps. 116(LXX115)
