Editorial Reviews
Album Description
Sawing to New Heights is a wonderful and unusual new album of music for singing saw and piano, written by Steve Margoshes and performed by saw virtuoso Dale Stuckenbruck, with the composer on piano. Dale is a superb violinist and the concertmaster of many fine New York ensembles, both on the classical stage and in the theater. Steve is probably best known as the composer of the hit musical Fame, which has been performed in 11 languages internationally. Recently, he's been composing romantic symphonic music, theatrical music, solo piano works and other chamber music, including Symphonic Fame and Sun. As orchestrator, Steve's numerous credits include 6 Broadway shows: Aida, The Who's Tommy, Big River, Tommy Tune's Grease!, Smokey Joe's Cafe, And Dance Of The Vampires.
