Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Now I know why they invented the word "PERFECT".......2006-11-10

This is simple :

Fritz Wunderlich gave us here the best performance ever recorded of any of those tracks!
Every tenor born after him should be ashame of their singing after hear this.
I dont know what other stupidity I can say to describe this record.

Just to add something technical, the sound quality of this CD is excelent.I have two versions of the same recording (with the track's order changed and inferior sound quelity) so pay attention to buy this one, and this one only.

Some of the tracks :

Ombra mai fu
Dies Bildnis is bezaubernd
Caro mio ben
Vater, Mutter, Schwestern, Brüder
Komm in die Gondel
Wolgalied
Schön ist die Welt
O sole mio
Granada

Just want to add that Ombra mai fu, was, is, and will NEVER be performed again like he did it.
