"When hanging a portrait, it is very important what frame you choose. World Domination invites us to consider melody 'portraits' from the Middle East, Azerbaijan, Africa, South America, etc. in contemporary western 'frames.' The lyric and background meld together succinctly thanks to the fact that these talented and developed artists are based in San Francisco, Vancouver, Seattle, Los Angeles and so on. They are knowledgeable both in the ethnic sounds they are bringing out and the culture they are bringing it into. This collection also works as a label sampler to the World Domination progressive world music label. Each track is off of a full-length X Dot 25/ World Domination release. Full information on the artists and source albums is provided in the full-color booklet.     I bought this on a wim and have never regretted it. Wonderful mix of new age world music, dominated by a mystic quality with strong presence of modernized persian influced soundscapes.

    After spending time performing in Pop and Rock bands, Louisiana native Kenny Brooks started concentrating on traditional jazz. His latest CD, "Jetstream" gives his listeners some really great jazz music with different guitar flavors. He caters to both acoustic & electric "Gibson" styles. "On Shore Flow" has a sound similar to Peter White & Torcuato Mariano, very lively and cool. The title track has a sound much like Brian Hughes, very soothing. Overall, I really enjoyed his style of guitar playing and I feel is one of my favorite CD's this year. The production value is high quality. This is a hidden gem that should be getting better exposure. It's outstanding work
