Customer Reviews:

3 out of 5 stars Probably not the best.......2001-05-11

While I have the utmost respect for the work Alfred Deller and his consort did in early music before it was really fashionable, I really can't bring muyself to enjoy this recording because of the extremely wobbly soprano in the 4 and 5-part masses. It just seems totally out of place. Much better are the recordings by the Tallis Scholars and the Cardinall's Musick, this latter being my personal favourite.
