Live performances from a 1960 recital in Redpath Hall (Montreal) by one of the most respected violinists of the twentieth century, Johanna Martzy (1924-1979). Martzy was a recording artist with both EMI and Deutsche Grammophon. Her LPs have been among the most sought-after by collectors; in fact, when listed by secondhand record dealers they are usually priced higher than any other LPs of any classical artist!

Nice performance by Martzy on some pieces I didnot have on other issue. I dont think Pommers had the synergy that existed between Martzy and Antionetti. Recording quality is fair. Not a must have
