Best solo accoustic piano album I have ever heard. He is a new artist in the market and has to yet establish a fan base. If you are trying to listen to something different in piano music then I recommend this album. Also for piano enthusiast this is a must own cd. A free track is available in the free download sections. Just download it and listen to it. Then decide.

I heard of Rob's music via another piano guru, Jim Brickman. After going to Rob's website (...) and hearing his music I was hooked.
Not only did I pick up this CD, I got Rob's second CD, "Sophomore Jinx" as well.
Rob's unique style allows one to escape in their own world. With all the angst in this world, a little peace and stillness is rare.
The instrumentals will bring a calmness all their own.
What are you waiting for in adding this to your CD collection?? :-)

I too immediately bought Rob Costlow's 2 CD's after hearing his music played on Adam Curry's Daily Source Code. I also immediately emailed Rob from his website suggesting he start his own podcast and he quickly emailed me back. I been doing my own podcast for about six months and Rob immediately agreed to a telephone interview. The direct link to the MP3 file interview with Rob Costlow is:

I discovered Rob's music after hearing the song "I Do" on "The Daily Source Code" podcast. I quickly went out and bought "Sophomore Jinx". After listening to the whole album I got back on the web and bought "Woods of Chaos" as well. Rob's work has a very unique style to it. I highly recommend that you check out www.robcostlow.com and listen to the streams that are on his site. If you like solo piano tracks, Rob Costlow is one of the most talented pianists that I have heard in a long time. A definite five out of five very big stars!

This, the second CD from United Sounds of Bassoon is a perfect follow up to their previous release. Using the same whit and spunk with a few new twists these bassoonists churn through Gershwin, Pulank, and even some Christmas carols! Helped out by a drum kit, contra basson, and harpsicord this is a great package for the bassoon lover!

    They showed up here at the University of Wyoming. I stopped in just to listen to a few tunes, and ended up on the floor with the rest of the crowd. Jana's vocals are amazing. She's a cross between every great female rock legend out there. The band played with amazing energy and kept us well entertained from the start to the end. They left us begging for more, and although they currently only have 2 albums, I expect there'll be more on the way.

    This band is a fresh reminder of what rock and roll really is.

    I WENT TO A BOB DYLAN CONCERT AND THIS BAND WAS THE "GUEST BAND". I WAS COMPLETLY IMPRESSED. THIS "GUEST BAND" ROCKED BOB DYLAN OFF THE STAGE.

    THE LEAD FEMALE SINGER HAS AN ALANIS MORISSETTE/ JOAN JET/ MELISSA ETHRIDGE/ JANIS JOPLIN LYRIC STYLE. HER MOVES RESEMBLE THE LATE / GREAT JIM MORISSON. THE LEAD GUITARIST IS A REAL SHOW BOAT BUT CAN BACK IT UP AND REALLY PLAY SOME HONEST LICKS. THIS ROCK-N-ROLL BAND PERFORMS AS IF THEY HAVE BEEN PLAYING TOGETHER ALL OF THEIR LIVES. VERY SOLID ROCK-N-ROLL THAT HAS A BEAT THAT RUNS THREW YOUR VEINS.
    I BOUGHT THIS CD AND I JUST KEEP PLAYING IT OVER AND OVER.

    I purchased "Simply Jane" on a whim just for the experience of hearing from an "unknown". I don't expect that this group will remain unknown for long. Their music has depth, emotion and remarkable range. Their original lyrics take the listener on a musical journey of universal experience. Any listener would be able to relate to almost every single on this CD. This is a first rate piece of work that should be a staple of every serious music collection. More importantly, if you enjoy really good music with well thought out and original lyrics, then you should buy this cd! What I want to know is, when is the next release?
