This is an excellent recording of some very rare art nouveau piano music of the belle époque. These pieces are very cosmopolitian in ethos, although stamped with Karg-Elert's individuality, which in some ways is reminicent of Reger's and Hindemith's. Something new and unusual--but not too scary, so no need to fear, little chickens! If you like Grieg's Lyric Pieces for piano, then you'll surely be able to digest these as well. Go ahead: take chance!
