Customer Reviews:
Excellent though very different compositions.......2004-01-13
I love everything I have heard by this composer of piano and bassoon sonatas. I only wish I had been blessed with the inheritance of his talents through our ancestry. I am a descendant of this composer as my cousin discovered back in the early 1990's during his extensive research into our heritage. Anton's only son added an 'n' to the end of his last name when he emigrated to the US in 1866. He was an agriculturist in Wisconsin but he obviously passed on the musical heritage because everyone in my family loves all types of music and my nephews are showing more and more musical talent the older they get and are now planning to record some original songs written for guitar and piano. Who knows, maybe I can write a review of their cd soon. Thanks for your time and please give this music a chance to brighten your life as it does mine!
