Reale is a big surprise..........2006-10-14
Most of you came here looking for these particualar Copland piano compositions, you're in the right place.
But you will be greatly taken with the Paul Reale pieces which take up 35 minutes of 75 minute CD.
As far as I know, they are the only recording of them.
Not disimilar to Copland's, but definitely of their own.
They are modern, but tonal and have a wonderful logical and dynamic flow.
Beautifully played by Jensen and SUPERBLY recorded by Music & Arts engineers.
Crystal clear with the perfect depth of tone that puts you in the same room with Jensen.
I feel I lucked out when I bought this CD for Copland and got the Reale, whom I would never have known of, also.
I can't imagine a better played or recorded CD of this repertoire.
Simply STUNNING!!!!
