Legacy is the right title for this album. Boyz II Men were the original, modern-day boy band, predating both 'N Sync and the Backstreet Boys. Heavily influenced by doo-wop groups such as the Platters and the Dells and developed by ex-New Edition member Michael Bivins, Boyz II Men quickly rose to heavyweight status after the foursome's 1991 debut, Cooleyhighharmony, their success based on romantic ballads and strong vocals. However, they lacked the charisma and looks to really make an impact on the world, and they're perhaps the only group that could be described as "quietly" selling 35 million records. This collection of their best moments concentrates on their strengths as crooning Cupids, exemplified by their massive hit and classic ballad "End of the Road" (taken from the Boomerang soundtrack). "Hey Lover," featuring LL Cool J, is as energetic as the album gets. Legacy is unabashedly assembled for lovers of slow, romantic bedroom soul. --Jake Barnes

Boyz II Men Greatest Hits.......2007-06-08
Excellent CD. All their biggest hits. Great for any Boyz II Men fan!
Legacy Of Great Vocalists! Need to Expand CD!.......2007-04-30
'Legacy' by Boyz II Men was merely a decent compilation when it was first released, but with only 13 tracks, I felt short changed, and wasn't about to buy the re-released 2 disc version. I've followed Boyz II Men since 1991, and like many fans, have all of the CDs. With that in mind, I decided to create 'The Ultimate Boyz II Men Collection' that covers 1991 - 2002 perfectly. Here's the tracklisting, which results in a 80 minute single disc masterpiece...
1. Motownphilly
2. Uhh Ahh
3. It's So Hard To Say Goodbye...
4. End Of The Road (fr.'Boomerang' SDTK)
5. I'll Make Love To You
6. On Bended Knee
7. Water Runs Dry
8. One Sweet Day - Live Version! (w/Mariah)
9. Doin' Just Fine
10. Four Seasons Of Loneliness
11. A Song For Mama (fr.'Soul Food' SDTK)
12. I Will Get There (fr.'Prince Of Egypt' SDTK)
13. Pass You By
14. Thank You In Advance
15. The Color Of Love
16. That's Why I Love You
17. So Amazing (fr.'The Hurricane' SDTK)
BONUS TRACK 18. Sara Smile (2004)
So there you have it, the Ultimate Boyz II Men on a single CD!
Enjoy making this collection at home!
Peace, SD

Very Happy.......2006-08-06
I bought this CD to listen to "A Song for Mama". My fiance was thinking of using it for his mother/song dance. We decided on another song but I am still happy that we purchased the CD. I don't own much R&B so it will add to my collection.
This CD Is Just Whatever.......2006-06-21
Boy II Men were extremely hot back in the day and I always wondered why. I tried to give them a chance by getting their "II" album, but I just couldn't get into them. They had a few good songs out, but, other than that, their music was quite lame. Not enough soul and not enough funk. They never got down and dirty. You get tired of the harmonizing because it's done all the time. None of these guys were attractive either. They just weren't, especially the one with the glasses who sang like he had a bunch of snot up his nose. My friends and I used to look at pictures of the group and they would say, "Yeah, that one's cute, that one's cute, this one is foooiine!" I just couldn't see the attractiveness anywhere. Their looks were mediocre and so was the music. "I'll Make Love To You" and "One Sweet Day" have to be the worse songs ever. I heard both of them on the radio the other day and it made me sick to the stomach. These guys are long gone, but thousands of other sorry guy groups of sprung up to replace them.

Further proof that the 15-year-old male is the nexus of contemporary popular entertainment, this anthology of music from and "inspired by" the sequel to the earth-conquering Halo saga also showcases how capably the video game industry can trump even Hollywood's vaunted production values. The original synth-heavy underscore by Martin O'Donnell and Michael Salvatori is filled with enough brooding, mock-Goth atmospherics, and pulsing exotica of indeterminate ethnicity to give the Hans Zimmer stable a run for their money, while a slate of (mostly) worthy rock star guest turns give it a welcome edge. Legendary axe-slinger Steve Vai's sinewy riffing punches up the reworked main theme and "Never Surrender," while alt.metal contenders Breaking Benjamin serve up the suitably dramatic inspired-by cut "Blow Me Away." But it's Incubus' four-part "Odyssey" suite that's the centerpiece, bridging 1970s prog and modern rock with its moody aura and evocative musical dramatics. --Jerry McCulley

BUY! BUY! BUY!.......2007-03-05
This CD stayed in my truck's CD player for months before getting tired of it. Enough said.
Great game - great music.......2007-01-10
My son wanted this Cd. I had never sat long enough to listen to the music when he played Halo, so I didn't have a clue what I was buying. He let me listen to some of the tracks once it arrived and I had to "borrow" it from him so I could download the cd onto my pc. Needless to say I bought volume 2 and the original Halo soundtrack cd as well. They may belong to my son, but I love these cds too!
Hug your pillows girls.......2006-08-06
THe only reason I am writing anything about this album is because it contains the Odyssey by Incubus, and its probably some of their best work and will go down as their most unnoticed. While the rest of your nerds are huggin your pillows at night thinking about your video games and the "gnarly instrumentals" on this album you sit there and bash Incubus' work. The first track by them, Follow, is not all that great however it was re-released on an additional cd with their Alive at Red Rocks DVD and it sounds sooooooo much better on that cd (with some real lyrics) But after listening to the Odyssey I was really hoping this to be a new direction for Incubus, a more proggressive/conceptual sound. Whether this is the direction they go on with their new album is yet to be heard. Its a shame that this work will go unnoticed, and the only reason it will be that way because a bunch of losers decide to try and impress people with (what they think) is a sense of music just because its of a classical nature. Yes, the rest of the music on the album is amazing, and I give big ups to its composition, but come on people, show some love to good music when its presented to your faces.
best video game soundtrack ever........2006-08-03
i understand that many people are a bit angry with breaking benjamin and hoobastank being in here. i'm not particularly happy myself with the last track, but i think contemporary music is appropriate here, albeit lyrics may not be the greatest form of expressing the mysterious feeling behind everything. i think o'donnel and salvatori have what it takes to compose a score of music, but it's not a score, it's a soundtrack. i found that if you don't like them you can just skip them. the second to last track is a great way to end the soundtrack.
classical music listeners stop complaining.......2006-05-10
The worst part of this album was songs with lyrics (breaking benjamin, techno, hoobastank)...i dont understand then why people are upset with the incubus - follow has one word the whole song (two if you count "yeah") and their instrumental songs are brilliant, floyd-esque at times. for those of you reading others criticizing this album, ignore them, ignore the three bad songs on this album, and purchase it and enjoy it.

superlative.......2007-01-13
This collection came into my hands as a boxed set. While I had heard some of the songs before, there was a new twist to some of them and the live performances make it interesting for the listener. Building a mystery, Vox, Aida, Into the fire,Angel, all the favorites with new interpretations.
You wont be disappointed, if you add this to your collection, it will see a lot of playtime..
Viewing Sarah through the Mirrorball.......2007-01-05
Sarah is one of my all time favorites. We already had the first Mirrorball c.d. and were skeptial about buying this one. She had some additional songs on this version and honestly it's been a great addition to our collection!
Awesome live album!.......2006-11-25
I love Sarah's live performance and I realy recommend this album the sound quality is just amazing, buy this remastered and complete version of Mirrorball live.
Sarah Fan? - Buy this Now..........2006-11-18
I wasn't a Sarah fan in 1999 when the "Mirrorball" tour came through my backyard, where "Mirrorball" was recorded live, at Portland Oregon's Rose Garden. But I had become a fan, and was at her show, when she came through with the "AfterGlow" tour. By the time "AfterGlow" was out, I had just discovered the original Mirrorball CD and DVD, and up until the release of this 2-CD set, the original "Mirrorball" live CD and DVD were my "most played" CD and DVD of my whole 700+ various artist collection. But even before finishing the first CD of this 2 CD set, I know that I had to have another copy for the car. Sarah Fan? You must buy this now. I promise you won't be disappointed. It is the full show, with all of her interactions with the crowd, and the sound is better than either of the previously released Mirrorball CD and DVD titles. I love live music, and this set is a dream come true. Sarah is a true performer "live", and I think is actually at her best when performing "live". Absolutely amazing recording and performance on this newly released 2-CD Full Concert Live set. And if you get a chance to see her perform, pay whatever it costs to see her show.
Must have for Sarah fans..........2006-11-10
I, like other reviewers, stumbled upon this release with absolute joy. (As far as I know, there has been virtually no promotion for this 2 CD set.) I immediately bought it, went home, and listened to the whole thing. And I was not disappointed.
The set is packaged nicely with two CD's, about two hours' worth of music. The set always comes with a nice booklet with beautiful pictures of Sarah during the Mirrorball tour, and it also includes the lyrics to all of the included songs, which is a nice bonus one usually doesn't see in a concert release.
As usual, Sarah's voice is stunning. In fact, most of the songs in this set completely eclipse the studio versions ("Hold On" comes to mind first). There are not many live concert CDs I will actually buy, simply because not every musician sounds good live, but Sarah is an exception by all means.
It's extremely nice to now have the complete concert with all 23 tracks. This set is definitely worth the price of admission. For Sarah fans, this is now an essential piece in your music collection, and even casual Sarah listeners will highly enjoy this concert (my mom loved it!).
As one reviewer previously mentioned, most of the tracks are "seamed" together, and I too wish (though it's a completely personal thing) they would have gone for a non-seamed approach to this set (most of the songs sort of just blend into the next), but please note that you do get to hear Sarah interact with the audience and share her insights on a few songs on several occasions throughout the two CDs.
All in all, get your hands on this as soon as you can; it'll blow your mind away!

Stay Away.......2006-01-05
While the piping is excellent, the audio, particularly in the first half of the cd is terrible. Nearly 15 minutes are almost indecipherable. I think the recording was made with a hand held mike at the edge of a field.
Edinburgh Military Tattoo.......2001-05-19
The Edinburgh Military Tattoo first started in 1947 with some spirited displays of army piping and dancing. Since that time the show has grown to become a world class act, unfortunately losing some of its traditional elements along the way. The word "Tattoo" is a corruption of the Dutch "Doe den Taptoe" which literary means "turn off the taps", a reference to when a lone drummer would play a "tattoo" or drum roll to signal the inkeeprs to stop serving beer and to summon the troops back to barracks. This ceremony was performed by the British while they were in the low countries during the early 18th century, but it is a custom common to many armies of that time, in particular the various German princeapalities of the day. Over time the Tattoo evolved into a more elaborate affair as more bands and musicians were drawn into its fare. What we have here is the modern development of the form started in previous centuries. The Edinburgh Tattoo is justly famed for its display of massed pipes and bands, and while the recording quality here is not the best, the listener can still get a good idea of the spectacle produced. The original recording of this 1972 show was recorded by EMI, but this version is a knock-off cut that was done by a small American record firm, and which since has been sold about in various forms as a popular item. It is unfortunate that we don't have a better version of the show for listeners than this. The Tattoo produces a recording every year, as well as a video which can be obtained by contacting the Edinburgh Military Tattoo via their website which can be found using any search engine. The good thing about this recording is that it does provide a glimpse of the show in its heyday, where modern fluff and show biz influences had not crept in as much as they have today. For this reason this CD is worth having, and serves as an introduction to this great pageant of the Scottish regiments and the British army. Even though the show is watered down today with pop elements, the grandeur is still there when the massed pipes and drums march out onto the castle esplanade playing the grand old tunes. Even the politically correct producers can't ruin this grand sight, and its hoped they never will!
Not like being there, but a good appetizer.......2000-11-23
The producers and engineers for this CD are to be commended for the remarkable quality they obtained on this outdoor recording! While not quite like being there, it does convey the spirit and energy of the Tattoo.
Pipes and Drums: Amazing Grace.......2000-06-11
I love the sound of the pipes for this one song, and is my favorite.

A very nice album for SCAdian ears.......2007-04-25
This is a fun album. it's festive, playful, and a real joy to listen to. There is something for everyone in this album--including and especially SCAdians. In fact there's probably at least one piece on this album that every SCAdian dancer, musician, and/or bard will recognize. There's courtly songs, love songs, and get out of your chair dances, even formal pieces you associate with concert halls.
Whether you play in the SCA or just love great historical music, this is one of the better albums I've ever bought--on amazon or anywhere else!
Recording is defective.......2007-04-06
The first one I got had a lot of popping and crackling, and some digital defects that cause the CD player to skip. I liked the music so I bought another copy and it was the same. Both wound up in the trash. Don't waste your money on this disk.
adequate performances but totally inadequate information.......2005-04-27
It is perhaps unfair to judge the performances on this recording (presumably made in the late 1950s/early 60s? - we are not given a date) by modern standards of early music performance. Yes, there are moments when the experimental nature of the approach is all too apparent, both in terms of the [im]plausibility of the interpretations and in the [at times] excruciating intonation (a particularly pertinent example is the shawm playing in track 10). But what is in fact by far the most deplorable feature of this recording is the utter sparsity of information provided - about the performers, the instruments, the composers, the repertoire, etc. Worse still, what little that is provided is often hopelessly inaccurate: sometimes in the form of blatant spelling errors (eg the Coventry Carol becomes here 'Lully Lullary', etc), at other times factual blunders (the medieval 'Estampie' in track 10 is in fact a 16th cent [ie Renaissance] tourdion, 'Quand je bois du vin clairet', whilst John Dowland's 'Frogg Galliard', c.1597, is here given an anonymous attribution...etc, etc, etc).
In short, for those not acquainted with pre-Baroque music, this is NOT a good place to start!!! Seasoned Early Music connoisseurs, on the other hand, may find a perverse pleasure in some atrocious moments, or perhaps take interest in its value as an example of historically informed performance style in the pioneering years - but you have been warned!!
For those interested, here are some alternative recommendations if you are new to this music: firstly, 2 wide-ranging compilations by 2 well-known ensembles -
1. Sinners and Saints - The New London Consort/Philip Pickett (Decca 48559)
2. Portrait ('Moyen Age et Renaissance') - Hesperion XX/Jordi Savall (Auvidis Fontalis 'Portrait' ES9904), or either of the 2 new compilations by Savall and his ensemble(s) on Alia Vox ('Harmonie Universelle', AV9810; 'Harmonie Universelle II', AV9839).
and a compilation (mostly of early music) featuring a number of different groups -
'Pastime with Good Company' (Alpha, A901) [includes groups like L'Arpegiatta, Le Poeme Harmonique, Diabolus in Musica...]
A nice overview of very early music.......2003-12-02
This was one of the first recordings of early music I ever bought. It's a broad survey of styles and periods, from the 12th to 17th centuries. I've become a more sohisticated listener since then, but I still get this one out fairly regularly. The recording is apparently old and the digital remastering was not done extraordinarily well, but those who are more interested in music than in audio equipment should be able to listen through the occasional (minor) vinyl surface noise. My major complaint (why I gave it 3 stars instead of 4) is the lack of documentation--there is no information about the musicians, and many of the composers are uncredited (some because they actually are anonymous, but sometimes out of apparent laziness). Still, at this price it's a bargain.
Don't Be Affraid.......2003-11-19
This cd is worth picking up. Yes the first couple of tracks have pops and crackles in it. And yes it sounds as if the music was transfered directly from a vinyl source. But the performances and selections on this cd are fabulous. And you get use to the flaws in the recordings. Which I find minor.
This cd was actually the first Medieval and Renaissance album I ever bought. I bought it randomly in 1992 to try and introduce myself to these two era's of Classical music. And it was PERFECT. I have been a loyal fan of Medieval & Renaissance music ever since. I currently own 25 to 30 cd's covering these era now. And this album is still one of my favorites......

Among my very favorite albums.......2006-09-25
I received Bok, Muir & Trickett: The First Fifteen Years I & II as a wedding present 14 years ago. I believe these disks have provided me with more enjoyment than any other present I received. I have an extensive music collection with thousands of albums and CDs, and this set would be among my top twenty. It would be at the top of my list for folk music.
Bok, Muir and Trickett sing a mix of American (New England), British, Canadian and Australian folk songs. The voices of the singers are distinct and complement each other well. Instrumental accompaniment is generally simple and straightforward, tasteful and sufficient. For me, this is what folk music is all about. These songs have settled deep into me.

Harmony Perfected Within a Strong Folk Triad.......2005-02-21
There is some history to my purchase and subsequent review of "Bok, Muir & Trickett: The First Fifteen Years, Vol. II". Many years ago, when I was still a child, my mother received from my aunt an audio cassette tape simply labeled "Minneapolis Concert". Thereafter, during long rides in the car and "cleaning day" at home, my mother put on this mystery tape: a beautiful, mesmerizing collection of folk and traditional songs and ballads, often unaccompanied by instrumentation of any sort; while others rounded out perfectly to guitar or (what we guessed to be) the autoharp.
Years passed, and my times spent at home listening to that mystery tape with my mother and brother were greatly forgotten. However, a resurgence of interest in the folk-rock music that so greatly shaped my early musical tastes caused me to remember my mother's old albums. Among those, of course, was that haunting mystery tape. A diligent search online finally revealed who those nameless, shapeless voices truly were: Gordon Bok, Ann Mayo Muir, and Ed Trickett. Apparently great names of folk music in their heyday in the '70s, the three left individual careers to occasionally join forces as an astounding triad of harmony and melody. Bass and tenor met an earthy, throaty songbird and crafted unforgettable folk and reworked traditional ballads for a new and hungry audience: sixteen of those favorites are gathered on this second compilation volume as released by Folk-Legacy Records. Included are many of the gems I personally remember from my childhood, such as "The Gin and Raspberry", "Melora's Song", "Waltzing With Bears", and "The Rolling of the Stones".
I know my mom and my aunt will be thrilled that I finally found out who their favorite mysetery folk performers are! Yet even those unacquainted with Bok, Muir, and Trickett are sure to enjoy this compilation album--anyone who has any interest in American Folk Rock or traditional/folk music in general should take a pass at this trio. The vocals are amazing, and the instrumentation clear and strong. If you're fortunate enough to obtain a copy, you'll be in for a real treat.
Flyin' songs.......2003-10-26
I searched for such a group for years ! I listened for a long time Peter Paul&Mary albums but I'd never found a group that can hold on the incredible harmony they lost after separation.
Now I've found it!!!! They're wonderful in harmony and seems to recreate that mixture of guitar picking and voice.
Buy it!!
Incredible harmony!.......1999-03-09
I second the emotion of the first reviewer. Bok, Muir & Trickett are incredible. Their harmony is sweet and clear. If you've never heard "Waltzing with Bears" it's the silliest, most delightful song around. Aragon Mill never sounded better. Get every single album of theirs that you can!

George is Wright Again!.......2005-04-20
Although this CD will stand well by itself, it really is a continuation of "George Wright At The Wurlitzer Pipe Organ" (Legacy #407). We are again presented with more of George's talent and repertoire on this second outing.
The first CD presented music that flaunted more pomp and clash. This time around, however, you'll hear a somewhat softer side of the organ after a slightly festive start, as many traditional hymns are found here, such as "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Abide With Me."
The theatre organ is capable of reproducing many different sides of music, and this CD clearly demonstrates its softer and more reflective side (after a little Mardi Gras, of course!).

Incredible..........2007-04-10
This is my first exposure to Peter Conte or the Wanamaker organ. WOW - I can't believe what I've been missing all this time. Mr. Conte's playing is technically flawless & exhibits musicianship of the highest calibre. And the glorious sound of this organ, so well recorded here - nothing short of stupendous! I keep listening to track 9 - the Dupre "Resurrection" movement - over and over - it is more than stunning!! I can't wait to hear more of Peter Conte or this incredible organ! Thank you!
I guess I missed it............2006-04-07
At the time of this writing there were 35 used 'The Wanamaker Legacy' cd's for sale. That speaks volumes for this cd......make it 36. Such a beautiful instrument wasted on such noise as recorded here.
A Great Organ, played expertly........2006-03-22
The Wanamaker organ is one of the truly great organs of the
world. This CD does a masterful job of capturing its grandure.
Wanamaker Organ NOT the biggest..........2005-12-25
OK, if you want to get technical, it's the largest PLAYABLE organ but the Atlantic City Convention Hall Organ (for which a restoration program has FINALLY begun) was and is the biggest at 7 manuals 33114 pipes; not to mention that its a unified organ meaning it has many more voices and range then the pipe count might let on. I say all this not to take away from the Wanamaker organ of which I'm also an aficionado, but just to set the record straight; for some reason the Atlantic City Organ is simultaneously the greatest and most neglected musical instrument in the world. If your unfamiliar with it, go to http://www.acchos.org/ and check it out.
Having gotten THAT out of my system, I must recommend this recording. Peter Conte is phenomonal, and the Wanamaker organ has not sounded better since Rodman Wanamaker was alive. Just buy it. Buy "Magic!" (the other Conte/Wanamaker Organ disc) while your at it; you won't be disappointed.
The world's best and biggest organ is back!.......2005-03-19
Countless years ago in a college course on American music taught by the Music School's organ teacher I learned that the Wanamaker organ was the world's biggest. Subsequently I bought an LP of Virgil Fox playing the instrument (in the 60's, as I recall). I enjoyed the LP very much and in spite of flaws and clicks I played it many times.
Through the many intervening years, however, the organ (and, indeed, Wanamaker's department store) suffered some setbacks and we heard little or nothing from the unique, but increasingly delapidated instrument. But in recent years organized efforts to restore this pride and joy of John and Rodman Wanamaker have paid off big time, and the organ is pretty much back in shape today. (Indeed it is even improved in some respects.)
To celebrate its return we have Peter Conte playing an excellent recital of pieces mostly connected in some way or other with the organ. This, then, is an historic recording: a monument of sorts to the devotion of organ-lovers past and present who just would not let a great instrument die. And it IS a great instrument, not only in size, but in the sheer beauty and enormous richness of its sound. (There are several large organs around today, some perhaps larger than this, but none is so beautiful.)
So if you are a fan of organs and/or organ music, you really ought to have this recording. No collection of organ music would be truly sufficient without it. The organ is unique and this is a very fine sample of what it can do.
My old teacher told only part of the story: the Wanamaker is not only the biggest (?), but also the best! (And if you want to compare its sound today with that of the 60's, I'm pleased to say the Virgil Fox recital has finally been re-released on CD!)

George is Wright.......2005-04-19
This was my second theatre organ CD purchase several years ago (after "The Mighty Wurlitzer: Music for Movie Palace Organs"), and I fell in love with it right away! Of course, back then I was just learning about the theatre organ, so I was eager for material.
The selections presented here are a good sampling of George's ability and repertoire. I particularly enjoyed the second track, George's own composition, "Boogie." I know personally several theatre organists who have tried to duplicate his technique on that piece and failed miserably trying!
I was amused by a reviewer's quip regarding a friend of George's saying these tracks were all "rejects." That reminds me of Virgil Fox's many attempts to bring a recording to perfection, spending countless hours on it if necessary. Well, for rejects, they sure sound pretty good to me!
I know that personal taste varies widely. However, I certainly didn't find this CD bland at all, but quite enjoyable. I think you will, too.
BEAUTIFUL VIBRATIONS FROM THE PAST.......2003-12-27
I HAVE AN OLD RECORD COVERING GEORGE WRIGHT plays the MIGHTY WURLITZER PIPE ORGAN NO R-701 THERE'S A TITLE #1. "THE BOY NEXT DOOR" (HUGH MARTIN-RALPH BLANE) AND THE OLD RECORD IS PRETTY MUCH SCRATCHED . PLS ADVISE WHERE I CAN FIND IT THANKS..BJORG
George's test tapes.......2003-10-10
This CD is a compilation of two tracks from George's first album for the HiFi label back in the mid 50's along with other material which was probably recorded at different times and later released, along with other selections, on two HiFi Life series LP's - "Sweet and Low" and "Tibia & Vox."
Except for "Stars and Stripes Forever," "Boogie" (a George Wright original composition) and "Under the Double Eagle" (a cut from a later HiFi release which was misidentified as "Washington Post March" on the original LP), none of the other material was ever intended for release. A friend of George's explained it to me this way many years ago, "Those are all rejects - every one of them. It's some stuff that he just did." Basement tapes, in other words. Some of it appears to have been test material to see how the organ would record, others tracks appear to be outtakes from material which was later released ("All Through the Night," for example, another version of which was released under the title "Evening Hymn" for the "Hymns That Live" album, most of which is available on another Legacy CD).
This CD is definitely worth having if you are a big George Wright fan, as I am. It is currently the only CD compilation of the "outtake" material available. It is worth noting, however, that the two opening tracks and the last track are now available on Banda CDs, and the sound is much better since Banda used the original master tapes rather than the tapes used to master the LP's, as Legacy apparently has.
One additional note: on all the tracks, the organ is a 5-manual 21-rank Wurlitzer originally built for and installed in the Paradise Theatre in Chicago and at the time of this recording was installed in the basement studio of Richard Vaughn, the founder of High Fidelity Recordings, Inc., the label for which these tracks were originally recorded.
Technically Flawed CD.......2000-11-28
Legacy did a very poor job of transferring a very good original tape recording to CD. It actually sounds like they used a duplicate tape intended for a 33-1/3 record pressing instead of the original master tape recordings.
The audio equalization is so bad the mighty Wurlitzer organ screeches and grates on the ear. George Wright's Banda CD remasters are far, far, better. Legacy needs to redo this recording and volume two as well.
Bill Wood
Dissapointing.......2000-10-02
The first two selections are good. The rest are really bland. The capabilities of the organ are not exploited. Definitely does not justify the "mighty" in the title.
