Chadabe moves from groove to free improvisation so effortlessly, his rhythms are so complex, and his sounds so diverse that you can't believe there's only one person playing. His music is strong, spirited, and intelligent. As Elliott Sharp said, "Ben's a great drummer." Sharp is right. And Hartlage's reserved voice is an excellent counterpoint to the percussion sounds.
